  1. A very steady sounding mix, it sounds like Snake is eternally sneaking. I think it would have been better if some exciting parts were added, but as is it works pretty well. It's somehow very relaxing, possibly due to it's repetitive and hypnotic qualities.
  2. Insanely hot. I love the syncopation throughout, and the sheer amount of melodic and rhythmic variation. There is so much going on that it'll take a good 20 listens to even begin to hear it all, yet it is perfectly balanced. Amazing work.
  3. This track just goes on for too long for what's there, and the ending is pretty unsatisfying. However, the drums are pretty sweet, especially the tight bass drum at the halfway point. I think the title is a bit misleading, as there really isn't much of an "Adrenaline Rush" here. Not to say the song is going to put you to sleep, but I think the tempo is a bit slow and the melody is a bit too plodding to really get your heartrate up. Decent but not quite my style.
  4. I'm not really digging this one. To me, it seems like a basic rip with drums and some in game samples. The drums are pretty cool, but it just seems to similar to the original.
  5. I've had this song on my playlist for a few years now and I've always assumed it was an original, professionally made game track. I suppose I should have checked the ID3 or something, but whatever. Very cheerful, and the breakdown at the halfway point is great. This song is sure to put a smile on your face.
  6. This really does have a pretty defined medieval theme melodically, and though I admit it didnt grab me at first listen, each subsequent listen has revealed more of the song, and it's gotten more interesting. The lead tone is great, and the strings and other orchestral instruments that come in are really nice. I am a big fan of the piano. Recommended, but it may take you a few listens to hear what the song is really capable of.
  7. Very creative synths, but ends up being too repetitive for my tastes. The lead sounds was very nice, and there was plenty of interesting sound choices, but the source was just too much of the same thing.
  8. well mixed and creative, this is a really nice mix, despite it's midi-esque sample quality. The rhythm that has been added is really cool and gives the track a lot of energy, and the transitions are really solid. There is also a lot of really cool melodic additions throughout, and if it wasn't for the sample quality, this would be a perfect track.
  9. Very classy mix. The sax is sequenced nicely and the counterpoint synth is PERFECT. A very somber mix, beautifully done. Highly recommended.
  10. This is a great example of taking a source tune and really playing to it's strengths. By taking an old 8bit theme and giving it a driving beat with some sonar sounding synth and several other filters, it sounds like it would be at home in a more modern stealth action game. Though the original theme is repetitive, the way the melody fades in and out with a few breaks into other melody lines keeps it interesting throughout. Of the two Spy VS Spy remixes, I think this one is the best.
  11. That opening synth is fantastic; so much character! Melodically the lead doesn't do much, it simply swoops around here and there, but it is very effective and with all the sustain it has, it makes it's deliberate note changes that more effective. The drums are a bit subdued, but I think should they be more prominent, the mood that the song has caputured would be lost. The arpeggios are pleasant and unobtrusive. Basically, this mix has a lot of parts that play nice with each other, and though it doesn't develop a lot, a distinct mood was created. Normally a mix like this wouldn't be my style, but I really enjoyed this one. Recommended.
  12. I have to agree with the rest of the crew here; i'm not a fan of this mix. It basically sounds like the main theme was cut and pasted about 25 times and then random effects and accompaniments were added.
  13. All of the percussion is fantastic and really pops. The sitar is nice, though im not completely sold on the fake electric guitar. The clean sound was good, but the distortion really wasn't. The arrangement was nice, and overall the song is good, but the fake guitar brings it down.
  14. Fire: I say just drop them and move on. It has been hell getting groups for instance for my BE paladin, and that is with the influx of all the new BE alts, so unless you wanted to wait until people caught up to you, just quest until you are 58 and then hit outland yourself. The amount of EXP and the quality of the items you get there is crazy, and then you can meet up with pretty much everyone on your server. I have been using a super awesome leveling guide to keep things efficient, and have not only done a bunch of quests that I missed on previous characters, but have cut my levelling time in half. My paladin is level 30 now, with about 1 day, 8 hours /played. I guess that means I've been playing way too much this week. horde: http://www.wow-pro.com/node/754 alliance: http://www.wow-pro.com/node/599
  15. I've been a big fan of this song since I first heard it a year or so ago, and completely agree that the singing is excellent and the song is too short. The somewhat traditional Dale North mood is present and works really well with the source music. I've always wondered why a song this good wasn't on OCR, and it looks like everything has sorted itself out in the end. Awesome work.
  16. Great track, the more I hear it, the more I love it. Possibly one of the more tasteful shredding solos i've ever heard. The rhythms you chose for you solo are inspiring. The rest of the song is great as well, but the pacing on the solo is amazing. \m/
  17. yeah there are only like 3-4 of us. :/ A thread would be a good idea to start I suppose.
  18. I doubt many will get out of the 30-40 level range, but there are a lot. I think it's extra noticable because they are in the same level range at the moment.
  19. 3149? Yes, Illidan is fucked. I slept as soon as I got home from work until it was time for work again, so no playing, but I heard Feathermoon's server crashed a few times. We'll see how it's doing today after work.
  20. Some of the sounds seemed a little thin, specifically the drums, but the interpretation and creativity is phenominal. The solos were excellent as well; awesome work dude.
  21. sweet! I'm all about trying some new synths. THanks for the heads up!
  22. On our server most people went straight for outland. I made a BE pally and brought him to durotar. I got to level 14 before it was time for work. Pretty fun so far, I like freaking people out with pally buffs randomly.
  23. This mix confuses me. It's well done and creative, but for some reason I just can't get into it. It develops nicely and has a very good mood, as well as good samples, all creativly used. I like the source song as well. Maybe it's because this piece sets such a mood, you need to be in a similar mood to appreciate it. Or maybe it's that damn fake sounding owl sample that hoots all over the track.
  24. Picking up he expansion tonight. I have a mage friend who is going to port my new blood elf paladin, "Legaylas" out of the BE starting area and into good old durotar so I can actually level and not wait an hour for something to pop up while fighting against all the others. Several other friends are making blood elf paladins as well, and we are creating a guild called "The Fab Five". We plan on giving fashion makeovers to the horde who need them. If only we could help fix people's terrible posture..
  25. For your next one (after arrangement I suppose), I vote for a compression tutorial. Just what do all these buttons do?!
