As far as I know, there's no follow-up to Day of the Tentacle. If there is I gotta get my ass in gear on playing it.

IS Blood on the Asphalt the soundtrack for SF2HD?
The Pezman replied to dsx100's topic in General Discussion
I'd love to see Jose's tracks as the character themes. Of course, what I'd really like to see even more is for Bison, Balrog and Vega to refer to the people they were SUPPOSED to. -

Quick! Let's make a Phoenix Wright album and see if they pick that up too! -
Can we get these d00ds to MAGFest?

Fuck the drumbeat. I'll just record him reciting the poem, then I can distort his voices and rearrange the words like refrigerator magnets. Thus, I will have mixed it not once, but twice, and thereby satisfy the implicit condition in the word "remix" by mixing it again. Also, I haven't played Portal and won't get to for a while. Should I just leave the thread now?

OverClocked ReMix Design ?'s and Issues
The Pezman replied to Liontamer's topic in Site Issues & Feedback
Let's compare OCR to selections from Free Culture's manifesto which I posted above: I don't know about injustice and oppression, but otherwise OCR sure as hell sounds like a site which follows these ideals. Anyone can come here, get involved and potentially get a mix posted. And this isn't just any site. It's a (perhaps the) paradigmatic example of a fan's project expanding to an extent where it's recognized by and even influences the industry. The great equalizing power of the Internet has given fans a voice which the higher-ups actually listen to. Obvious point bolded for convenience. But the rest is still accurate too. We're intelligent young individuals who came to this site around a common theme, but we talk about all sorts of other things here as well. We can make our opinions known, post Youtube videos, and all sorts of other things which could become known to the populace at large. Free software and anti-DRM FTW. As far as what the two organizations could actually do together, I didn't have much in mind specifically. An official affiliation would be nice for starters. But actively promoting the Free Culture ideals would be cool. People who frequent Free Culture will start to come here, and people can post mixes there. Free Culture is trying to work through grassroots movements, so exposing the largely young OCR clientele to these happenings may inspire them. All sorts of ideas like that. But all I was trying to do with that post was to get people to understand how much these two organizations actually have in common. -
Heard of these guys? I hadn't. Till I saw .And then this. Not too shabby.

Building my own music studio
The Pezman replied to 100_PERCENT ROEMER's topic in Music Composition & Production
I agree 110% with Andy here. PROTOOLS BAD. It's large, clunky, overpriced, and the M-box never seems to work consistently. Just because it was the industry standard (note past tense... I see Logic, Digital Performer and Sonar more often nowadays) doesn't mean its automatically the way to go. And even people who use it don't always like it. It's the industry trap: they have to because everyone else does. ZOMG VERSION 8! When's it coming? Well, actually Reason doesn't do recording, and I'm not sure about Live either. Either of the former two should be fine for recording though. -
I made this post in the other Chrono Symphonic thread. Just want to make sure that anyone who checks this thread sees this also. As many people on this forum know, I am an editor of the increasingly well-known Chrono Trigger Novel Project (linked to in my sig). We're seeking official publication and are very close to sending out chapters to Square. They know of our existence and we have not been C&D'ed, so that alone is an indication that they're willing to give us a shot. We've been writing & editing the novel as well as collecting signatures for an official petition to Square Enix indicating the fans really do want this. We made an appearance at MAGFest last year to bolster publicity and gain signatures. We made a few small waves and got cozy with some of the OCR community. Ever since, I've been getting more involved here in addition to working on the CTNP. We're definitely going to return for MAGFest VI, and this time we want to really make ourselves known with an official event. This event will probably be a dramatic reading of some selections from the novel, followed by a Q&A session. We'd gain more attention this way, and it's better than just asking for signatures. We were hoping that, in order to make the dramatic reading more... well... dramatic, the appropriate Chrono Symphonic track could play in the background for whatever scenes we choose to read. It could serve as an unofficial alliance between these two organizations, and I think it would work out really well.

OCRA-0006 - Chrono Trigger: Chrono Symphonic

It doesn't sound like anything came of the request of the poster above me. I have a similar sort of request. What I hate about this game is how much powering up you have to do OUTSIDE your main quest to even have a ghost of a chance against the tougher enemies. My brother, who doesn't really play video games, did it, and to this day I have no fucking idea how. That's not what sidequests should be about. Bob the Goldfish... come on.
-
Fuck yeah. I did notice last year that a lot of the OCRers tended to stick together... branching out to meet new people on your own probably wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. I met a good number of people working random shifts.

Looking for a collab partner
The Pezman replied to The Legendary Zoltan's topic in Music Composition & Production
As a n00b, this is informative for me to know just what might be involved in making a track. I read that the drums and bass were MIDI. Doesn't that mean it's be relatively easy to add things like reverb and change the volume? Also, I don't know how you can hear what the singer is saying. But I guess this is one reason I'm not the biggest fan of metal. -
Wait, are there new characters besides the six who were given trailer attention: Sonic Meta Knight Pit Zero Suit Wario Snake There are others?
-
Wat no orgy? no wai! I don't think he likes it either. When I saw this I was somewhat surprised, because I'd read the Q&A section when Haloid came out: It's a pretty fine line to walk, IMO. If he had come out with something original I seriously doubt a thread would have been made about it. So if he rounds out the DF storyline, will his name mean enough in order to promote his original work?

Which Orchestral Sample Library?
The Pezman replied to Nutritious's topic in Music Composition & Production
Well now all this makes me want to avoid orchestral mixes all together. Thanks a lot. -
No, but I might have a senior project now... Ugh.

I've checked the site... the Vocal Removal technology does not appear to be its own plugin like the RX. In fact, though they advertise the technology I can't tell at all where or how it's being implemented.
-
I could not hear a difference in the hum removal.
-
There's already an OCRemix song there too. I don't know if the circles exactly sync up on the beat...
