  1. I am positive I have asked the same question Stevo asked, releasing OCReMixes as podcasts through Itunes. and I am positive I got the same response about having people come through the site to get the music. I would agree with Larry's post 100%. A podcast release format would save me a lot of time, I'll have every OCReMix to date, then 2 months down the road I'll sit down for 45 minutes and manually download everything that's new. It would make things VERY simple for someone like me.
  2. Hi Silent Edge, Welcome to OCR! It is indeed awesome here. I am not an Official OCRemixer (yet) but I'll answer your questions! 1) I have been dabbling in remixing very very part timeish for the last 4 years. 2) I own and operate a small moblie DJ company. I am the only employee, and so I have improved my DJ skills for work, or rather, THROUGH work. There is a difference between a DJ and a ReMixer though, most of the contributers here would probably be composers or arrangers, as those skills are more important in actually creating music than DJing is, but there certainly some people here who DJ too. 3) Music theory is a huge asset for remixing and composition. It is not as critical for a DJ to have those skills. Mastering the art of remixing also requires discipline, intuition, and an ear for music sure helps too, and finally, a ton of practice will go a long way in making perfect! Peace!
  3. I'm down with that LAOS. I'll not have time till the end of this month to start shooting mine, we'll see what happens. If your music video looks anything like your sig right now, It will be a sight to behold...I think
  4. No takers on that sweet computer yet? Ho man...
  5. I listened to the winning entries, and I liked 2nd place the most, 3rd and 4th were good, but the first place entry was SO ANNOYING! haha! I don't know how it was even on the list! Yours could have been up there IMO, Hayden.
  6. So much Mario! and so much money, almost 60k now. Good stuff, haha, I wish I still had the time and fascination with Video Games that I used to, this is really nostalgic in a way, haha.
  7. Yo Wes, Ima talk to my fiancee about that Mac Pro, thats a pretty hot machine and I know she wants a mac at some point. Perhaps we'll make you an offer with those MAudio and perhaps some other stuff. Too bad that edirol is gone. Sit tight, I'll get back to you soon.
  8. Check here for an extra 50% off the composers collection, puts it at $750.
  9. You don't kid around MegaRan, that was fast! Pleasure doing business with you
  10. I know you like powermetal Bahamut. Though pretty much every remix of Decide in the Eyes is pretty rockin... I don't know if I could do it any other way though! haha! We'll see what happens I especially wish you luck on your remix Wes! You can do it bro!
  11. This post is so great. small world indeed. Ran, check your PM's for 5kg of Canadian Bacon.
  12. Alright MEGARAN, What would it take for you to hit me up with full lyrics for "The Final Battle"? I am prepared to go farther than most to get those rhymes bro. Money? Additional Album Purchases? Canadian Bacon? I am a businessman and an economist, not to mention a reasonable man; I am confident we can forge a deal to both our likings. Ima get what I want here, sooner or later.
  13. I have some unexpected developments happening in my life that will require a LOT of my attention for the next few months, but I am committed to doing a video. I have two storyboards done up I just haven't chosen which one I will do yet, as I really like them both.
  14. lolollololololololol You know what, I'll have to ask! I know one of the guys behind it quite well but I'm not 100% sure what their main motivation was behind putting a new service together. That's a good question. I haven't had much time at all to check it out since beta but I'm glad some of you have, any feedback is good feedback. I know they've gotten some customers but are constantly looking for areas to improve.
  15. Must get a new lens soon. A nice 50mm would rock.
  16. All VGM tracks without vocals must simply be Instrumentals, so lets just go back and add " ~instrumental~" to each track name... can you imagine? My real suggestion would be VVGM: Vocal Video Game Music. Bahamut had it right.
  17. A good friend of mine and some ex-Bioware peeps have gotten together to create a new Games on Demand service called Beamdog. I think the most noteworthy titles would be a Painkiller game and a Shutter Island one, but they have plenty of others across several Genres, all at or around the 10$ price range for the time being. I am not sure when it went live, but I know it's very recently. www.beamdog.com
  18. Just saw the title and was reminded of Space Trader. It was developed by Hermitworks, a game developing company headed up by a few ex Bioware people. It's available on a new Games on Demand service called Beamdog. That game is basically interplanetary commodity based trading with an FPS element involved should you be "pulled over" for transporting illegal goods or if you choose to earn credits by accepting bounty hunter missions. I think its 10 bucks, don't know if this is what you're after but thought I'd post.
  19. Finally. I have been talking about this for a long time; how there needs to be a keyboard controller version of Rockband or GH. There is a plethora of 80's tracks that require a keyboard controller to fully get behind, at least that's how I feel. I'd also love to see some power metal tracks make it too; which is less likely, but a possibility I am equally excited about. Yup!
  20. I saw this before watching Prince of Persia, and it totally floored me. The music in the trailer kicks ass, especially coming from a theater sound system. Apparently Daft Punk is gonna be all over the soundtrack too, which is more good news.I will definitely be watching the original Tron shortly (as I actually haven't seen it before) and getting myself in line for this one in December!
  21. This is up in the air for me now; as of this last week I am engaged to be married Sept long weekend! It's totally exciting, but it only leaves us with two months before the wedding, and we have JUST started planning. We'll see if I can spare a few days somewhere in there but it will certainly be a last minute decision if I can come or not; perhaps my fiancee would come too. I sure would love to meet a lot of you, but it might have to wait till MAG. We'll see!
