Ahah, I was playing this game a couple weeks ago, and it actually fried my GPU. Guess it was too depressing even for machines. ;P Hands down one of the best narrative to ever come out of a military shooter. The part involving white phosphorus is imprinted in my brain forever. Also, The Line features some truly gorgeous scenery/art-direction. Nice to play a cover-based shooter not relying solely on the dark-brown palette. Inversion on the other hand...

With a username like BlackRazgriz, I was totally expecting some Ace Combat runs. ;P But I enjoy speed-running in general, so I might check it out. Good luck and have fun.

I already had two posts in this thread (including one linked to a fanmade FFT project) before you showed up just to trash-talk OCR albums. Don't try to cover up your mistakes afterward by making stuff up or setting-up others to take the blame for your errors in judgement. Instead of talking about FFT (i.e. the topic), you decided to share your personal views on a completely off-topic subject: Now be a man and assume your words instead of jokingly trying to ridicule someone else to make yourself look good. /argument Moving on, moar FFT remixes plox!

So your idea of being open-minded is to take a dump on most OCR albums and disrespect all the artists who contributed to them? Well, congratulations! You've just made yourself a bunch of new friends on this site/community. Also, your definition of a 'real album' is highly subjective and close-minded, because many people do enjoy diversity. Bottom line: you're not gonna get anyone on your side by dismissing every perspective but your own. Less drinking, more thinking please. Btw, did anyone check the Diaries of Olan fan-album that I linked earlier? Any thoughts?

I get your point, though condensing 5~6 discs into just one would be sacrilege considering all the memorable tunes left out.I'd advise dividing that endeavor into three 1-disc volumes, each being created after the previous has been released. That should make things more feasible overall, but organizing it would still require credentials that neither of us possess.

You two might be confusing FFT with FFVI. No Ivalice game has the same kind of drive that a main entry Final Fantasy has. Do you even realize the amount of work and commitment that is involved into creating just a 1-disc album here? Pulling off a multi-disc requires mad arranging skills, a fair amount of credibility and the support of both the staff and the community. Think about it: if any prominent remixer had ever been interested in these games, there would have been a lot more remixes posted. Directing a project isn't as easy as sending a couple invites and waiting for people to come in droves, as people seem to think. I get what you're saying, since Sakimoto is my fav composer, I also fear any arrangement could potentially ruin the feel of the source. That said, seeing some support for this concept is nice, so thanks everyone for the encouragements. I'll definitely look into doing something Ivalice-related once the GH project comes to fruition. Proly not before late 2013, early 2014 at best ...provided the world hasn't been destroyed by Altima yet. ;D Btw, surely I'm not the only one here who knows about The Diaries of Olan, right?

/thread I hope someday the masses will stop drooling at Uematsu for 5 minutes. Then maybe Sakimoto and Iwata will get proper recognition. My ultimate VG-remix dream would be to make a huge Ivalice Alliance project covering the FFTs, Vagrant Story, FFXII, etc. As the saying goes: unattainable dreams are the best kind.

Or just invite him to join. David Wise did a remix for DKC, so surely there's hope for FF as well. Alternative answer: play Monolith Soft games. Many former Squaresoft employees work there.

Yeah, same here. That way I can use a gamepad for everything (with Joy-to-Key). I don't think OUYA was designed for a niche of non tech-savy people, since it was advertised as easily hackable/moddable. From what I understand, RWTS is not a tutoring, but a competition ...and a TV show ersatz too, apparently. Meaning folks are in to learn/teach/have fun, but ultimately have to produce a song that compete with others. Therefore, pupils need to be able to communicate with their teacher with more than just words and concepts. Not to mention difference in learning-speed, and the fact everyone will be under the same time constraint.

All that needed to be said about the game. ;DStar Ocean 3 and Valkyrie Profile contain my fav tracks from Sakuraba, with Baten Kaitos and End of Eternity following closely. He's not one of my fav composers, but still a talented and versatile musician, whose works often reach insane levels of intricacy.
