  1. I actually like the warbly effect that this ReMix has in it's sound. Good to hear a ReMix that can be good even with several things that might go against it nowadays. The vocal clip works for the arrangement and the source is clearly audible. Very nice take on Flame Man's stage.
  2. Totally loving the sax playing and the beautiful violin in this ReMix. Not a whole lot of "fury" in this fantastic frozen foray into Blizzard Man's stage, but it has a nice visual of a calm snowfall over his mechanical base. Production and arrangement was great as always. Nice work.
  3. This ReMix couldn't be happier if it tried, could it? Haha, but that's fine, because sometimes you need a piece of candy to enjoy the whole meal. And this sure is one tasty, bubbly, fun meal. Great beat, and great blending of good wonderful themes. Nice work on putting the bubble back in Bubble Man and giving Wind Man a little love as well.
  4. It's definitely more the piano than the drums, but I can hear why the judges said what they did. While I actually liked the drums weaving in and out of the piano, it did have a moment or two in the first minute and a half where it didn't seem to mesh as well as the rest of the song. When the drums pick up and then drop off to the piano, though, that was a great touch. I know some people don't like fade-outs (really don't know why) but I think it was good here seeing as how you was ending with a solo-piano. Not bad.
  5. Can't get enough of solo-piano ReMixes. Almost nothing touches the gorgeousness of a song played well on the old black and white keys. This ReMix is no exception. Beautiful sound and great production behind the whole thing. Picking up the melody and giving it more speed near the end was fantastic. Well done.
  6. Knight Man has always been one of my favorite Robot Masters and I've enjoyed his theme a lot as well. Vurez manages to take that slight "medieval as Mega Man could get" feel and give it a boost. The vocals and the rocking bits sounded great, but some things sounded a tad off or loud. In the grand scheme of things though, I loved this ReMix.
  7. The Greek sound coming off of this ReMix is terrific. Loved the pan pipes and grand, yet easy going, vibe of it. It fits Centaur Man very well and the quality here is top notch. I can hear where some people say that it sounds a bit Arabian at some points, but either way you interpret it, it sounds great.
  8. I can get behind what one reviewer said about it being almost like a combination of Doom and Mega Man. A little short, but the beat is good and it does improve on the source a bit. Even with it's age being shown and not being exactly groundbreaking, I still like this ReMix. It's like a bite-sized little goody to enjoy every now and then.
  9. The combination of rock and orchestra in this ReMix makes me grin. There is an amazing feeling of power and grandeur that you can get from this, fitting for a battle theme. Awesome.
  10. My thinking is that this is just enough of a ReMix to avoid being a straight up melody, and while there were a few times where I wasn't sure about that particular section, overall I feel like this worked with the rocking direction you took it in. A lot more hits in my opinion than anything that might be labeled a miss, so not bad at all on my end.
  11. I don't really care what anyone says, this ReMix put a smile on my face just from the idea. Funky fresh hip hop beats made from and in addition to Crash Man's theme was great, and the Woo! Yeah! samples fit right in. A little short and most likely could be expanded/evolved today, but for when it was made and what the idea is, I like it.
  12. Absolutely love the Megas ReMixes and work in general. The lyrics fit Air Man so well, puns and all. This type of rocking arrangement is great for this source and the overall arrangement for this ReMix is damn near perfect. I've listened to both versions of this, but either way, Air Man gets justice with this song. Awesome stuff.
  13. Best boss battle ReMix on the album in my opinion. Then again, I might be biased because I liked the Arich battle theme more than the others to begin with. I always wondered why Arich had his own boss theme but K. Rool had the regular theme in the DKC3 GBA game. Also, I would have loved to have seen a bonus fight between Arich and Squitter like in the album picture. Anyway, the driving force of this song really gets you pumped and you can just hear the battle rage on. I like how the melody would carry on in a smaller tone during the breakdown periods. Cheers to Paul Capps for adding in the guitar work.
  14. Entertaining as hell, and I love the contrast between the electronic area and the piano section. There was a point in the middle where it seemed to drag a hair, but it didn't bug me that much and it was a nice set up for the end. Great combination of three themes to make a nice ReMix.
  15. This is a full-on night time party that you can dance and bop to all night long if I ever heard one. Nothing tragic about Heat Man's drowning when you combine his and Bubbleman's themes so excellently. The beat goes hard and I'm loving this.
  16. The ambient atmosphere of this ReMix is so calmingly beautiful. I could relax to this all day or put it on in the background for moments when I need to focus. The length makes it perfect for that, so you don't have to keep hitting replay every two minutes. Nice debut with two great themes.
  17. Pure metal carnage. So deliciously intense. Game Over has often impressed me, but I have had much of a chance to express how much I love their work, especially this song. Even with the later changes, this is another great rocking ReMix that shows the constant quality of their work. Loved the transition to the boss theme and adding in the boss intro jingle.
  18. Glitchy like a computer on a bad trip and crunchy like a tasty chip. If there was ever a malfunction that sounded good and bad at the same time and averaging out to a fantastic ReMix, this would be it. Mazedude did good here.
  19. Double the Happy! Double the Birthday!
  20. I love Cutman's theme on just about everything, be it a rocking stage, techno beat, whatever. But the melody of Cutman just seems right at home in this sonata right here. McVaffe brings out the emotion tenfold on this one. Very cool.
  21. Oh, man, that violin sounds gorgeous. Whole thing really fits the relaxing thinking atmosphere a puzzle game needs. The modulations and glitchy beats kept things fresh and fun to listen to, and I dig the vocals as well. Beautiful ReMix you have here fellas.
  22. ReMix title kinda wrote itself, didn't it? I'm loving the loungey low-fi jazz here, and it's so nice and chill, at least for the first minute. Then you go and kick it into high gear that kinda reminds me more of low-fi jungle jazz rather than smooth lounge. Great transition there. Sweet ReMix halc.
  23. Really got into this one after the introduction set in and moved on about a minute and a half in. The cinematic elements and electronic bits worked well together here. This is some great orchestration. Bass ending was a nice touch.
