  1. I have only three words to begin with: Crazy. Ass. Solos. Seriously, the stuff you did with your guitar was simply awesome and I liked the drums, myself, especially since seemed to bring it hard and punchy and they fit the 80's style here. I enjoyed the piano segments and the little Pikachu thing at the end. Kinda skirted the line with the liberal nature of the ReMix, but no worries, cause you pulled it off.
  2. I can almost picture a dark corridor of a castle light by touches in the beginning (which I guess is my way of saying I agree with the gothic lounge idea). The latin sounding piano bits were interesting and it's kinda nice to hear something dark with some upbeat undertones. I can see where some would see this getting repetitive, but I think it was close and didn't see a problem with it. I wasn't fond of the ending, cause it just seemed to trail off, which I understand is what it was supposed to do considering the direction of the ReMix, but it just wasn't for me. That little thing aside, nice dark ReMix.
  3. I'm not kidding when I say that I'm curious to what it'd sound like with anime-style vocals with it. But this ReMix is amazing all by itself and definitely achieves that anime opening sound Sixto was looking for. Hell, you even included the "single strum of guitar to end the song" thing anime music likes to do, so A+. The guitars sound incredible and the entire arrangement seems to fit together really well. I really liked the muffled guitar section from 0:26 to 0:37, it was a nice touch. Great breakdown and sweet soloing as well. So much rocking energy, it's hard not to love this ReMix. One of my favorites off the album.
  4. Man the intro has the sound of a grand fight getting set to take place, and indeed the whole ReMix has the feel of a great battle. This would fit right in with a soundtrack for a series or movie. I love the slowdown near the end of the ReMix. This is one of those ReMixes that I would absolutely love to hear live. Solid work here.
  5. DUN, DUN-DUN-DUN! God, I love that intro and it being used again at that great ending. Like a wave of nostalgia. If the goal was an epic battle, you sure as hell achieved that. Excellent guitar and drum work, and the symphonic choir really made this ReMix feel like a grand battle. I really don't think it's that short, being filled with so many goodies and being over four minutes long, but I will say that I wished the track 29 part was used a little more. Can't complain though, cause it was amazing. Incredible job, BGC.
  6. Damn, this is downright menacing and EVIL sounding! Seriously, this screams, bad guy is kicking ass and has the hero on the run Guitars running aggressively and the drum beats sounded good to me. I enjoyed the little "sonar" sounding break at around 2:08 before it came right back into those hard-hitting guitars. The Dual Dragons always seem to deliver the strongest metal ReMixes and they do it again here. Not in love with the ending, but it's a minor point compared to the rest of the ReMix. Sweet stuff.
  7. An interesting orchestral rock ReMix for sure. Sounds like the final fight of an action movie, which completely fits right in with G.I. Joe. Epic arrangement that really pumps you up in a heroic way. Funny enough, I got really into this the first time I heard this while doing something else and didn't know it was getting to the end, so when it cut off I was like "Aww, man, done already?", only to find it was over three minutes long. So it's a good ReMix to get immersed in. Nice work.
  8. Is that techno club organ!? Holy shit! I never thought I'd hear that! Nice dark and gritty club beat, and the electronic voices starting from about 1:20 was godly! 2:35 was so good with the computerized vocals, and I think this was the perfect way to start off the BadAss album. I had this on repeat all day yesterday. Sephiroth starting off the album about villains, for villains is great. Awesome work PR, I can't even really nit-pick at this one.
  9. Wow, congrats to all of OCR for 12 years of amazing music and a great community!
  10. Ethic disco? Okay, yeah, works for me. I'm always up for something different, and this is a masterfully different song. Killer percussion and the ethic instrument samples just sound so crisp and real, it's amazing. Terrific work on the strings and this ReMix has your style written all over it. A plus for a grade for giving it a good Egyptian feeling with a sweet beat.
  11. I gotta say, when I saw Protricity, Level 99, and bustatunez on the list, I knew I was going to love this. And a nice debut for Jeff as well. You guys nailed this theme so hard. The Indian influence was very prevalent and I loved the addition of the violin. Big ups for getting a little rock in there as well, making it a harder hitting ethnic masterpiece. Nice change up around the 3:35 mark and the ending was pretty cool. Recommended for sure.
  12. What a wonderful intro, with so much groovin' energy. Fantastic synth work with the modulation and the main melody. Totally digging the breakdown and the outro. It may seem straightforward in some parts, but there is a lot of little things in it that helps it get the job done in delivering an upbeat ReMix that gets some movement out of you. Nicely done.
  13. The hip-hop low-fi scratching was catchy and I liked how it moved out of that and back into a more classy arrangement before building back into the more low-fi scratching. A very ear-catching ReMix, to say the least. I enjoyed it quite a bit and if low-fi was my thing, I'd absolutely love it. Very interesting.
  14. Thanks for the friend invite Stevo! Good luck with OCAD and your future ReMixes.

  15. Oooh, I like. Loving the main beat coming off the drums while the guitars makes a nice sweep with the entire melody. Source usage was fantastic and I feel totally at home with the late 80's sound of it, especially around the soloing. I could definitely see good vocals being added in it that was the intention when it was made, but even without them, it's pretty cool. Great Remix.
  16. Oh, man, this is gorgeous! I think this is one of the best solo-piano pieces I've heard in the last few months. Hard to believe this was all on Finale. Loved how you managed to get Theme of Love in there as well. You can really feel the emotion in this ReMix and it just sounds so natural. Damn, dude, so good.
  17. I'm a huge Daft Punk freak, and I enjoy some Freezepop too, so hearing a ReMix that was aiming to be a cross between them was exciting to me. And I do here some influences from both, so fantastic job on that. I do have to agree that the synths were a bit too harsh in the latter parts of the ReMix and some of the beats just didn't sound right in some places, but it didn't bother me all that much. The cyber-like vocals sold this mix with me. All in all, not bad at all, Anti-Syne, I really liked this one.
  18. Dark and a bit spooky, but upbeat at the same time. Very nice. I've always liked electronica ReMixes like this, for the way they seem to go with the flow while having some personality. Some parts of it actually sound a little drum and bass, which is always good. For the first time, this was impressive.
  19. This ReMix is weird as all hell....and I mean that in the best possible way. Funky, groovy, and has a nice little swag to it. A trippy beat with a great arrangement, and a cool intro to boot. Not the kind of thing I'd listen to over and over, but it's a great listening experience so say the least.
  20. There is something about chippy ReMixes that just make me smile, and this is included. I like the way the arrangement changed over the course of the mix and the pokemon cries SFX were a nice touch.
  21. Yeah! Bring on the electronic beats! This is an absolute head-nodder and the energy just makes you want to move! The vocals fit this ReMix perfectly and pulled the mecha-computer feeling off very well. Great job.
  22. Pretty slick. The "Get Ready" clip starting off the upbeat portion was a great touch, and the fact that it was used again later was cool. Thankfully you didn't try to over do it on the voice clips. The blippy glitch part of the track was fantastic and fun to listen to. A pretty good break house ReMix that really makes electronica shine.
  23. Terrific arrangement! The Sax/chiptune collab idea was interesting and the whole thing came together pretty smoothly. Very solid tune and a good ReMix from start to finish.
  24. Bells with solid beat intro? Awesome. Someone else mentioned that it had a DKC2 sound in some places, and I wholeheartedly agree, which makes it cool. And then those guitars rip into the ReMix and I couldn't stop grinning. Then ending on a relatively peaceful fading note was wonderful. This ReMix is without a doubt a ten on the scale of how great it is. Zircon, C-GPO, nice collab.
  25. So sexy and smooth....I was expecting a Barry White-like voice to come in at some point, which made the falsetto bit funny to me. The piano was pretty cool and I the rest of the mix was awesome. The falsetto singing threw me off a little and I didn't hate it, but I think the mix would have worked with or without it. Not saying it was bad, and I liked it myself, just that it was a bit neutral to me. Overall, great ReMix.
