  1. I love it when metal can be used to enhance a track rather than just come out all frantic and reckless, and this is a great example. Nekofrog just comes out guns blazing with this ReMix and to hear some orch driving force behind it was sweet. Second half went a hair longer than I expected, but I'm not really complaining cause it was still great.
  2. Grand orchestral instruments, check. Wonderful playing, check. Terrific arrangement, check. Instant love and download, check check check check check! Also, all kidding aside, nice to hear a lighter melodic version of the dungeon themes.
  3. Amazing. Really does feel like a trip through time and space, and has a classic trance sound to it, which is really impressive. Really like the piano bits added in and the steady flow of energy throughout. Very well done.
  4. Nice work with the sense of suspense and a lot of the orchestral elements. It does sound cinematic in some areas, which was good. A bit short, but very nice.
  5. Ahhh, now this is peaceful and relaxing. Very atmospheric, but with a good beat along with it. Great ReMix for kicking back and chilling out.
  6. Man, this is pure evil! Those hard hitting guitars and the chorus just made this ReMix a badass villain tune that I can really get a smirk out of. It just brings to mind a hell lot of destruction on its way. Honestly, the attitude and balance between electronic bits and rock sell this whole thing.
  7. Alright, I'll say this does have skill to it. Not a whole hell of a lot of change-up, but the playing is well done and it's fun to listen to. Good performance and I just feel like it might have a hair of time rust on it. Another example of nice little ReMixes you miss if you skip the first few years of OCR.
  8. Yeah......yeah, no. Sorry, but I'm going to have to agree that this just doesn't do it. It sounds very MIDI and there's not a whole lot of addition going on with the source, which brings it closer to the realm of cover for me.
  9. Man, they were not kidding about the headphones thing. I actually kind of liked it though. It's a weird way to sort of add something to the mix without music itself. Sounds like you're going through a technical warp. A trick like that would be cool nowadays if cleaned up a bit more, but nice work all the same.
  10. An interesting ReMix that starts out with a bit of a nice ambient sound with a good beat, then ramps it up after the build. Some things I think could have been expanded on or altered by how long they played, but not a bad mix at all.
  11. Thanks for the birthday wish! :D

  12. Yeah, the community here is very helpful, and it's not just musically. When someone asks for help, usually the community helps with whatever they're dealing with. I'm pretty sure I saw relationship advice in the judge question thread a long time ago.
  13. I'll be honest, I almost didn't hear the source in this ReMix the first time I listened because of how subtle it was underneath the beat. Then I took another listen and I got it. Cool way of using it. Great use of SFX and it's nice and groovy. The beat is a bit loud, but I can dig it. It's nice and easy going, so yeah, it works for me.
  14. I really can't find the words to actually describe how I like this. It has this strong vibe from the strings and sad vocals that do a pretty good job in painting a clear picture of how bittersweet the MMX ending really was. Sure the lyrics are a bit cheesy, but that's not a bad thing. The only thing I wish is that Harmony's vocals were a little louder, cause they are a bit hard to hear at times over the instruments. But overall, really enjoyed this ReMix. Nice work, fellas.
  15. Boom! Man, it hits hard right from the start! This is one of my favorite tracks from the album, and the beginning mix between chilling ice in the back and metal in the front is pretty cool. Very clean sounding and the energy is just right for what you were going for. Really liked the cold sounding breakdown at the end. Almost sinister and beautiful at the same time.
  16. MMX6 wasn't that bad......Anyway, this ReMix was really interesting. It has a very unique sound to it from the chippy-asian fusion and it sounds solid. Kind of a weird ReMix in sound, but I like it.
  17. So much raw energy.....its like a MMX showstopper right here. It's so cool to hear such wicked guitar work with orchestra hits in the same ReMix! The sheer attitude of this ReMix just fills in what the original left out and gives it the complete update that it's been needing for so long, and I love every bit of it. This is what I was hoping for when I heard about this album, and I'm not disappointed. Gotta add that the piano was a genius breakdown move. Damn good work.
  18. Nice, sexy funky little track right here. Love the little voice sample right before the clavinet, and man, the ReMix just grooves right with me. Sweet work with the Jazz flute. So much love for this piece. Oh yeah, I'm ready. Put ya guns on!
  19. First came one of my top three OCR tunes from last year in Ska Buffet, and now the OCR Plaid Muffins land another hit with this track, which I gotta say, is a pretty cool take on one of my favorite MMX tunes. I'm pleased with how well the source tune lends itself to this style. The lyrics are pretty catchy, especially the last paragraph, and it was really nailed here. Love the slow down and the sound of the instruments overall. I'll be playing this over and over for a long time now and I can't wait to hear more hot tunes from the Muffins in the future.
  20. Well, this was an unexpected take on the source. I will be honest in that it took me a second play through to really get it in my head, but now that it's there, it'll be there for a while. The dark overtones of this ReMix just fills this house beat with sinister intentions. Evil and gritty, but with a sweet groove. Nicely done, sir.
  21. Now that is an impressive blast of metal! This thing just wails in sheer head-banging power and keeping the melody intact, especially during the 1:15 to 1:34, while letting those guitars rip was just awesome. Great work on the solos and the breakdowns as well. Damn good way to start the album mixes off.
