  1. Haha, I love MST3K! Overdrawn at the Memory Bank, Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders, and Final Sacrifice where great. And Space Mutiny with all the David Ryder nicknames.
  2. BWHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh my god! This is amazing! I...I can't stop laughing or listening to this! Oh.....oh, I can't breathe.....aha..ha.....Oh, man, DJP, this is quite possibly the funniest thing I've heard in the last month at least. I'm not joking when I say I'd love to hear more country/bluegrass/hillbilly tunes like this, even if it's not as insanely weird and good at the same time. The tag "goofy" is perfect for this. Ah, damn, that was great. Thank you for making this, really. Yeehaw!
  3. Fantastic ReMix. This is hands down my favorite Phoenix Wright mix on the site and it is an amazing trance track. The way the theme blend together flawlessly is awesome and although the ending was like turning a 180 at the very end, it was abrupt and the soft piano was actually a great way to finish off such a energetic song. The Objection sound clip was a perfect way to enter the transition as well.
  4. For being one of the mixes that started it all, I gotta say that it holds up better than some later mixes. It's catchy as hell and a damn good toe-tapper. Seriously, the beat and the flute worked well together, and although there are a few flaws, they're only minor. OCR has come a long way, but this was a great start for sure.
  5. I was just waiting for the day a Mortal Kombat mix would be posted ever since I got here and it was well worth the wait. The Dual Dragons delivered hard! The gritty vocals fit the rocking energy the mix presented and I especially love what was done with The Subway. Those guitars and shaku parts didn't just fit the mix, it pretty much fit the series as a whole. Hopefully MK and some of the other fighting games that don't have much love will continue to shine through with this much skill from many more future ReMixes.
  6. Nice feel-good ReMix right here. Ah, it just screams "happy and peaceful" and I appreciate sunny tunes like this. Amazing drums, sweet synths, nice backing piano and all around enjoyable mix that just has fun written all over it. I thought the ending was well defined and finished the song off nicely. OA really brings it with his mixes and I think this is one of my favorites by him.
  7. I can totally hear the Massive Attack inspiration in this ReMix, which makes it even better, but the ReMix itself has a great arrangement to it and the beginning is a bit unsettling before building to something grander. I'm not of a fan of some of the scratchy sounds in parts of the mix, but it's not biting enough to turn me away. Not a knock on the entire mix, as I love the ReMix, just some parts of it aren't my cup of tea as it were. Still, pretty cool and nice work.
  8. Oh, yeah! Now this is funky and amazing fitting for the "retro" part of the title. The very beginning intro is a bit...esh, but after that it becomes a groovy ride that you hate to see stop. The breakdown in the middle was just too sweet and this is probably the most different version of this theme that I've ever heard. Always a good thing when you can take an arguably over mixed tune and bring something new to the table.
  9. Extremely odd hearing Ken's theme in this style and tempo since I'm used to harder stuff, but this works for me. I think taking the source in a completely different direction than expected worked wonders here. Can't say it's my favorite take on the theme, just that it still sounds pretty damn good to me. It's ReMixes like this that remind me of the wide-ranges that a song can be taken in and what they can be turned into when a ReMixer runs wild on it, so great job, fella.
  10. That electric guitar was amazing and I really like the intro. I got to say that game or no game, this is a fantastic track. The faster arrangement was sweet and sold me this mix even more than the rest of the ReMix. It's interesting to hear a ReMix that sounds like two different mixes when compared to the beginning and end of it, but it was unique.
  11. Those moans are hot!........uh, ahem, what I meant was, those SFX were an nice touch. It's funny to think they came straight from the games, but at least it's tasteful in its....well, sexiness. And the Jazz behind it was pretty good too. Smooth, great tempo and interesting without a doubt. Suggestive sounds are good, but without awesome music behind it, sounds are all you have. Luckily, you have terrific music behind these sounds, so great job!
  12. Ice Cap has such a great melody that it's hard to not enjoy any ReMix made from it. The breakdown was interesting compared to what came before it, and both the synth and percussion of this ReMix makes it awesome. It has a great beat and the flow of arraignment was nicely done. On my recommended list for sure.
  13. Sugary, happy, and upbeat beyond anything else, this is just one of those ReMixes I just can't listen to without smiling. It's a really good feeling ReMix and it does have a bit of that 80's sitcom feeling in it's melody. I'm down with anything that pays any kind of homage to 80's and puts a smile on my face, so I'm down with this ReMix for sure. Damn good.
  14. Very entertaining and upbeat, I love the energy in this ReMix. This is a great track to us while driving and it really does have that "end credits" feeling to it. Thoroughly enjoyed the downbeat starting at 2:30. It just has a lot of emotion that defines this mix as happy, and it spreads that happiness very well. Victory indeed!
  15. Happy Birthday, Stevo! Enjoy your day!
  16. Welcome back, Bahamut. Good to see you back at the helm.
  17. How the hell did I miss this thread? Anyway, Happy Birthday, José! Keep up the awesome work and the amazing beats!
  18. Happy Pretzel Day to the awesome creator of OCR!
  19. I think this remix is amazing solely on the fact that it does one of the two things I like best about ReMixes: expands the melody of Ice Cap through WillRock's own interpretations and solos. It has a terrific sound, and it gives more life to an already awesome song. The intro really fits the whole "Sonic Snowboarding at the beginning of the zone" scene in my opinion.
  20. It's really hard to go wrong with Ice Cap. McVaffe proves that with an impressive house beat ReMix that is a bit chill, but also has a nice supply of upbeat energy. The piano, drums, synth and harp really do it for me on this one.
  21. Well, damn, you sure nailed the Asian feeling in this ReMix. Out of the hundred and some Ice Cap ReMixes on the site, this is by far my favorite. The ethic sounding beginning was great and seemed like a perfect fit for the source tune, and then breaking out into a rocking electronic midsection with tons of sweet sounding beats (and a Power Rangers nod that I always seem to miss somehow) right before the fake-out ending. I really love how it hits that heavy majestic feeling in the real ending.
  22. I think the flutes were fantastic, myself. A bit of a bouncy fun ReMix that takes the special stage and runs it through a tropical latinlite melody car wash. Or ReMix wash, if you prefer. I do think it fades out a bit too quickly at the end, but this is a case of the pros outweighing the cons for me. Not bad, not overly amazing, but all in all it's solid and it sounds good.
  23. At least the ReMix kept up with the feel of the zone with the tempo changes. No, seriously, I think that is what is best about this ReMix. Starting off with a deep beat and then the tempo changing into a more frantic "ghosts appearing and the pyramid getting darker" feel before going right back into the "hit the light switch, all is cool now" feeling. As much as I hate Sandopolis Zone, this ReMix is something I can't even frown at, being so good.
  24. This is a really intriging track. I'm not crazy for jazz, but I can stand it when it is done right, and this is done right. Anyway, it's put together well and I can mellow out to it very easily. The only thing that gets me is that certain parts were a bit too far out there for me and I wasn't fond of it, but the rest of this ReMix makes for a good relaxing song. Ten Rupees and one great mix, sounds like a good deal.
