I keep forgetting to vote or consistently check out these compos (since apparently this is where all the cool people hang out), but SupX has kept on bringing my attention to this particular competition. After listening through a lot of the different arrangements I just wanted to say that you've all made some kick butt songs, and as an immense fan of vocal mixes you know I've gotta give props for that. good shiz all around the board. *ninja-smoke-bombs away*

ayyy man, we've already been talking a lot... those 'other' type remixes, yeah, I'm still up for them. but please make more stuff like this. I'll probably have more solid feedback to give you tomorrow or so, but for now my biggest gripe is that the percussion needs more phat and oomph. The actual drum sounds are good (lighter and crispier from the original, but it works with your arrangement of instruments) but it's on the weak side right now.

Are we clear to start working on it more, or is it not what you're looking for (claim up for grabs again)?

'serious') 3. it's been really hectic the past few days, so I just needed to blow off some steam, really. Hopefully this makes somebody else laugh as well. 4. I'm certain most people here are cool and can understand when something is a joke, but just for clarification: Kanye West is one of my favorite performers (for real), and I have absolutely nothing against LGBT people (I support them, and I personally think this shouldn't be taken as offense, nor do I feel like this has ANYTHING to do with homosexuals whatsoever outside of the term 'gay voice').

Congrats, meta! I've enjoyed this since SupX showed it to me a long while ago, and it's still sounding great. I disagree slightly with the opinion that the rapping should/could have come in earlier. When I first heard this my initial thoughts were "cool, some traditional meta synth-y stuff, but with a chill hip hop twist and some gratuitous turntablism throughout," but then when the rapping kicked in I was thinking "oooohhhhh yeeeaaah, he killed it!" Since this was the first of meta's rapping that I ever heard, I felt like that elongated intro approach leading into the rap much later in the song works smoothly because it's kind of like meta saying "yeeeaaah... I've made a few instrumental stuff, but now let me show you what happens when I grab the mic."

No offence to the hard-hitting fidget EDM stuff nowadays; I love that intense stuff, but it's always nice to hear some classic drift-away progressive stuff like this. GREAT job. And I know that the source is very short and not much to work with, but my only complaint is that I believe you could increase the source usage much more. I personally think the first 3+ minutes are fine as is for a lush, drawn out intro, and that huge sweeping interlude rise in the middle is perfect, but at 7:31 that is a clear and evident spot to make the source melody more pronounced and obvious. Don't take this the wrong way, what you already have is freaking amazing, but right now it sounds more like an original piece inspired by KC "Take Off" rather than a legitimate solid remix of KC "Take Off." I am thoroughly enjoying all 10 minutes of this as a standalone original track, but not as a remix.

I won't discuss everything off the bat right now because MangaMan, Orangedragan, and I will talk some more to fine tweak these concerns brought up, but there a few things I can briefly answer right now. Ahhh, see, we were honestly hesitant about going right out there with all of our detailed plans because we didn't want to come across as though we're not welcoming any creative freedom with these arrangements; for instance, with The Calling of The Four Giants and the later Majora tracks we have some VERY specific notes and maps outlined, we just didn't want to make it seem like we were just pulling in musicians to bring tangibility to our ideas, we wanted to allow others the right to deviate a little bit or put their little 'flair' on these arrangements. Then again, I see that that is the whole point of these community projects, where a director (or directors) have a raw plan in mind and they're asking the other great people around here for help in meeting and succeeding this plan. So our apologies; as stated in the 2nd OP, those 'blueprints' are the abbreviated version, so we will surely talk some more about getting 'perfected' blueprints and guidelines for what we want and need with each track, both musically and lyrically. Thank you very much for the honest feedback. Yes, every song will be a medley (then that last section towards the bottom is leeway for persons who would like to have an arrangement that possibly veers slightly from our medley approach, but is still in tune with the album vision. The 'Recurring Roles' are our main focus that we are emphatically seeking out vocalists for, whereas the 'single-scene roles' are subject to a lot of possible change because these parts can be doubled over with the same vocalists (if we do not find enough vocalists to fill in every single character part), just with slightly different vocal inflections and alterations. Vocally, it is arranged similarly to a theatrical stage musical (or, an 'Opera' if you prefer to look at it as such), but as I said with Kuolema, we do need to do some more discussion about presenting this information in a much better way. We're sorry if things are still very murky and hard to digest. Since we've been discussing plans for this over about a year now, like you said, it is very easy for us to understand, but I see now that there is some more improvement we have to do on our part so this makes sense to you, the arrangers and vocalists. Those of you who know my work ethic with projects and remixes are already well aware that I do not commit to something unless I'm getting good, solid potential vibes from it, and when MangaMan's been discussing his ideas over and over with me I just kept thinking that this concept could really be interesting if we approach it in just the right way. So, thank you very, very much for the comments and questions; no offense has been taken at all. Clearly, we just have to work on making these ideas less vague and more understandable to everybody. Admittedly, the blueprints and track list is quite a lot to swallow (and that's the abbreviated version, we've got even more to discuss in private as we assemble the project team ), but we are aiming for a grandiose approach, so we feel like most of it is self-explanatory. Please let us know what isn't clear or how we can possibly help simplify it any more.

And I'll one up you by saying that it is easily one of my favorite OCR trailers of all time, and album art covers/site designs! Like seriously, I've just been re-watching that trailer sporadically every since it's release or just listening to the music while staring at the album cover. Lastly, I'd like to temporarily hijack this thread and direct everyone's attention to what I believe to be an interesting project. I'm going to assist Mangaman and Orangedragan with directing a large-scale Majora' Mask musical tribute project, and since it IS in the format of a musical that means we DO need plenty of vocalists (all singing/vocal styles are welcome and encouraged). The project vision has recently been revamped, but if you're looking for something interesting to lend your vocals to, please stop by and help us out.

I made a super silly, basic a Capella sketch for G-Mixer, then G-m made a much more legit demo a while ago, and then it took me a very long time to have a day to sit down with stuff to send back yet again to G-M. So, thanks for extending the deadline, but I'm sure that G-M and I have probably got a pretty good initial wip right now. Should be coming your way, DusK, in a few hours/days depending on G's thoughts with what I've just sent him. weeeelp. guess we did a little too much for this first wip.
