  1. Sup, I noticed that Atelier Ryza/End of Hibernation is missing from the tags on the remix page, if it's not a problem could you add that?
  2. Oh lol, I kinda forgot about this again, but I have most of the song done. I'll send in a wav tomorrow. EDIT: Damn, I just noticed it's been over a week since the deadline... and I was away from home for most of that time. Is it too late to send my song?
  3. Sorry for being so absent, I'll definitely have my song done before the next weekend (26th).
  4. Hello, ocremix! This September will mark the 15th anniversary of the Dwelling of Duels competition. And since that's pretty old in internet years, we're celebrating it with a special double month duel! For those not familiar with DoD, it's a monthly (or sometimes bi-monthly) VGM cover competition where the emphasis is on live instruments. Over the years, we've received entries covering almost 1200 games, and for this Legacy Month, you have to cover any tune from one of those games. You can find a full list of games here: http://dwellingofduels.net/games/. Other than that, all the standard rules apply: http://dwellingofduels.net/rules/ Deadline for entries is September 29th, 1PM EDT. Even if you don't enter the competition, you are welcome to vote on the entries and join the listening party (exact time and date TBA).
  5. The re-orchestrated one. I've been playing for a few hours already and I don't think I've noticed any differences in the compositions, but the re-orchestrated sound quality is way superior.
  6. Soukaigi in-game tracks are streamed audio files.
  7. Hello ocremix! As you may already know, a big thing called MAGFest is happening soon, and Dwelling of Duels will once again be a part of it: http://super.magfest.org/guest2018/dwelling-of-duels/ This time around, the theme is Multiplayer - you can cover anything from games featuring multiplayer gameplay, whether it is local or online, co-op or versus, turn-based or realtime. Also, entries have to be a collaboration of two or more artists. The deadline for entries is January 2nd, 1PM EST. Send your entries to dodsongs@gmail.com. And did I mention that there are some prizes for the winners? That's right, the winners get some Impact Soundworks goodies. So what are you waiting for, pick a song and start working on your entry! If you happen to be at MAGFest, be sure to check out the listening party! You can dance, headbang, sleep or just hang out with cool people. I guarantee it's gonna be fun. For those not familiar with DoD: Dwelling of Duels is a monthly (or sometimes bi-monthly) video game music remixing competition started back in 2003. The focus is on live instruments: each entry needs to have a main instrument played live. A theme is picked for each duel and all the entries have to follow the theme. At the end of the month, listeners vote for the songs and a winner is decided. To this day, there have been: - 3010 entries, from - 1152 games, by - 761 artists, in - 166 duels, having - 179+ hours of music! http://dwellingofduels.net/
  8. I had one of those PS2-to-USB converters lying around so I started playing with my old PS2 controller - I forgot just how much more comfortable it is than my Logitech controller. And it's also way harder to hit a button by accident. Now if only Yoshimitsu had his T5 moveset, I'd have the ultimate Tekken experience.
  9. The game is great. I beat the story mode and most of the character episodes yesterday, and after that I've started with some online matches. I'm mostly on the losing side, but I figured the pros will all get their rank promotions during the next few days and I'll be able to play more against people of my skill level.
  10. Hey, just wanted to tell you how much I am enjoying 1000 Notes from DoD.  I forgot about the voting,so I didn't get a chance to reflect my love of the song there and knock you up a few places, but it's still a sweet remix!

  11. There's an ok uilleann pipe sound included with kontakt player default instruments. For a harp and dulcimer, you could try this: http://www.dskmusic.com/dsk-world-stringz/ For all these instruments though, you could try searching for free sfz libraries. I know I had a few on my old pc. Lots of people sample instruments like these for fun and put them up for free on music forums and such. You'll have to look around a bit to find decent ones though.
  12. http://www.dskmusic.com/dsk-brass/ only thing I can think of.
