  1. Saints Row isn't nearly as well optimized I guess. Anyways, I own Saints Row and Darksiders but this is a pretty sweet deal. I did't expect to see a company like THQ doing a humble bundle. Maybe I'll get it and give away my extra copies as Christmas presents.
  2. Animal Crossing! Online is a pretty big component of it for some people. Nintendo sends items through WiiConnect24 still too, I got one a few weeks back. I can't think of much else though. Not sure if Monster Hunter Tri still has servers up or not. Shooters were never that big on Wii either. Dragon Quest X never came here. Alas! This thing is weird, but hey its a cheap way to get into some Wii games. Its just a nice cheap option for families that don't need online functionality or Gamecube support. *EDIT - I suppose the lack of virtual console kinda sucks, though some people wouldn't care about that I suppose.
  3. I'm really feeling this, I love this style. The system music for Nintendo consoles works nicely for stuff like this. I've considered remixing some of the original Wii system music myself. Downloading this for sure!
  4. Yo snap, pleasant date of birth to you. Word.
  5. Yoooooo, Vectorman in da house. Doesn't look like there's much support for Streets of Rage though Aw well. This is pretty cool of them to do.
  6. If you click search along the bar above the forums (its in between "Calendar" and "New Posts") you can Search by Tag. The threads for remix reviews / comments are all tagged with various features, such as "metal" and "vocals" and the like. It would be cool if you could search in the top right for genre or tag and go straight to the song instead of the remix thread, but its at least possible to do on the forums. *EDIT - Older remixes are not tagged however. I'm not sure what point they started adding in the tags.
  7. This is rad as heck. Excellent contrast between sections, drums sound very tight, rhythm guitars too, and I'm a big fan of the leads you used. I like that you offset the melody by putting it a beat earlier than it is in the original at times. Its a nice touch and works really well in your arrangement. Hopefully someone with some more time on their hands can give you any mixing tips you might need, but it seemed pretty spot on to my ear.
  8. I need to lern2read. Cool beans. Excellent beans.
  9. Hey so I've noticed for some of the US past themes (Such as mine, Palmtree Panic) its basically just another version of the JP theme. Should we shy away from using those in our mixes? I'll probably be using mostly Good Future or Present but I just wanna clarify.
  10. I'm a pretty big Sega fan. I'm tempted to buy this game right now, though money is a bit tight. From what I've seen the tracks look excellent and varied, there's a sizable roster, gorgeous visuals, everything looks great. I'ma add it to my Christmas list for sure.
  11. I have decided to take on Area 8. Its gonna hopefully be some kinda groovy. Hopefully!
  12. Sure lots of games have female protagonists, but they've got Zelda, and he's been reading the games text to his daughter and making the protagonist a girl to make her feel like the hero. When she's actually old enough to read and play through it herself, it'd be disappointing for a young girl to realize the hero was really a boy I'm sure. This probably wasn't much work at all and its a pretty nice gesture, I think. Also, there are lots of female protagonists but many of them are too sexualized for a young girl to really be playing anyways. Old Metroid games would be nice maybe.
  13. I got busy with school myself, and the internet at the new house I'm renting hasn't been ideal for online games, but it works well enough at times. I need to start playing again I'm sad I missed the Halloween event, a friend of mine said it was pretty good for their first holiday event. Hopefully they do something awesome over Christmas break, cuz I'll be there.
  14. This album gives me warm fuzzy feelings of goodness. Excellent work everyone, I am muchos impressed!
  15. I recently refunded something and had some surplus money left on my credit card, so I put a pledge forward Sounds like this is going to be incredible, I eagerly await its release. Congrats on the overwhelming response to this, you deserve it.
  16. Well as you said it wasn't explicitly stated, plus the last competition was the Sonic compo and lots of collabs did happen. Granted most were from people within the compo who were eliminated, but I'm fairly certain there were a few people from outside involved which didn't seem to cause any fuss (Xarnax and DiGiValentine each did some vocals, C7 did some trumpet, and Sir Jordanius brought in a few for one of his tracks). Since that's the last compo we've had and it wasn't against the rules then its fresh in the mind, plus it wasn't stated that it was against the rules this time, so I'd say its fair game.
  17. I started with Guitar Pro myself, and yeah it does support standard notation, though its more limited than something like Sibelius in that regard. I'd recommend Sibelius for notation. Sibelius may have a 30-day trial period, I can't quite recall. There are other options like Finale, and Finale has a cheap $10 version called Finale Notepad, though its pretty limited. Personally I like Sibelius but it can be pricey if you want to be legit about it.
  18. I notice Skyrim was mentioned, which is excellent. But even more recently than that is Guild Wars 2, another soundtrack by Jeremy Soule. Its absolutely phenomenal. With a lot of MMOs, seeing the same locales over and over with the same music may cause it to lose its luster, but I don't ever have that problem with Guild Wars 2. It's wonderfully crafted, I highly recommend. Also thiisssssssss <3 Love this song, and soundtrack overall. Here's a more upbeat one that I also enjoy.
  19. My goodness this was one of the first things I wanted to contribute to when I joined here, I forgot until I recently was looking through my old FL project files I'd like to just throw it out there that I still want to keep my claim. This semester is busy for me but since there's still a long way to go with recruiting and no set deadline, I hope to keep my claim and get a song done in due time. I did have a decent idea for it initially, once I have time to develop it hopefully it shall be worthy.
  20. I did 5 today and realized its been far too long since I've done them. But I'll show them! I logged some great swim time on Friday though which leveled me up. I hope to log some more swims this week.
  21. I hath joined. I've started swimming on campus to try and get some exercise, so what the heck. Maybe this thing will help motivate me to do more. Seems pretty cool!
  22. Quite an excellent amount of footage. I particularly like when they show a few of the hourly tunes. The music in this game sounds like its shaping up to be superb. The rehashed hourly tunes in AC:CF were a bit lazy so its nice to hear some real new stuff. And DJ KK? Sign me up. They've added so much, it looks like a true evolution of the series in every regard. I am excite
  23. Oh my fuck this rocks. A wonderful concoction of funky bass, smooth chords, sweet leads, and overall fantastic grooves. Kudos to you, for serious. Gotta buy this and recommend it to everybody.
  24. I think it looks great, the trailer is pretty damn silly though Still I'd consider getting it, it looks like some retro-style fun.
  25. I hated it too I wish I did have more time to develop my remix, but s'all good. Congrats to Gario! Best of luck to all the rest of you. I shall continue to follow this and listen to some excellent remixes.
