  1. The sax solo was pretty sick, but the panning seemed a bit strange. Fun stuff, good to hear some all-live mixes.
  2. The whole intro sounds like floating in some sort of digital ocean (digital ocean, good title...); good job on the texture. The glitching surrounding the beat is well-done, nice and rhythmic. Speaking of the beat, the snare sounds great. For some reason, my expectations lowered when I saw "techno mix" before hitting play, but this is definitely no slouch. Interesting sound design and writing; I really like how the acoustic guitar fits right in with all the electronic noise. Great job with that. Very good techno mix.
  3. Mm, true. My main goal was to follow the source structure and twist up the ending, but I might go back to this. It was a lot of fun.
  4. The koto (?) in the beginning is very cool. Nice choice to focus on the whistle at 1:50, good atmosphere. The shifting drum parts add a lot to the feel of the tune. Oh, and the piano is spot on too. Good mix.
  5. Pretty decent mix; however, it feels like it's missing something. It lacks that edge that makes it really distinctive. I do like the drum filtering and quieter sections though.
  6. Once again, good cohesion between world instruments and electronic sounds (check out his Persona 4 work). It sounds nice from a mixing perspective too, but it also feels repetitive. Decent mix overall.
  7. Good melancholic metal. 1:09 is downright angry. The guitar tone is a bit strange, but tolerable. I like the constant bells in the background, very good for atmosphere. Good mix.
  8. Ahhh, now here's a mix with vibe. Yeah, it's lacking the (gorgeous) main melody, but it works in the mix's favor. It feels very immersive and enveloping; the main melody would be too dramatic in this context. Great mix.
  9. The guitar intro is good. I agree with OA on the snare being disrupting and the harmonica sounds great. The vibe is somewhat somber, makes me imagine a person spending a depressing evening at the sunset. Pretty good aside from the snare.
  10. Sounds like BGM in a visual novel. Very atmospheric and "pretty" (a trivializing word IMO but it fits here). It's on the conservative side though; the drums are nice, but I think more coulld be done.
  11. Pretty nice take on this omnipresent tune. Very groovy and laid-back, great guitar work. Also the most piercing slap bass sample ever.
  12. Thanks! I guess I could put in a bunch of solos like the Mythos arrangement, but I always end up putting solos in everything, so meh. Did you have anything in mind?
  13. I sctually think the intro is really wintry. Great atmosphere, very dreamy. The guitar and choir sound fantastic. Just an excellent mix. Aurora borealis in the Arctic anyone?
  14. Thirded just cause free sample libraries have taught me how painful account-making renders some things.
  15. Here is ANOTHER great mix I never spoke a word about for whatever reason. Just excellent, the most cohesive blend of electronica and orchestral music I have ever heard. The mood is perfect too. The sudden tempo shift is killer and feels just right. Also, The Hidden Truth is the best source (on the OST or even outside it) that could accompany this. Amazing work.
  16. I'm impressed with the multiple somber takes on this upbeat source. I particularly liked the second. And then we get... some hip-hop mix. I like the EP-like synth in the background. Certainly not the most flowy mix but its creativity compensates.
  17. I guess it's been around 6 months now that I've listened to this. I think it might be the best remix on the site; I can't overstate the sheer artistry expressed.
  18. Ah, I remember this from the album. Very good remix of a source I was looking forward to hearing. 2:21-2:50 is the definition of creepy crawly; screw insects. Fun, twisted stuff.
  19. Actually, the main takeaway from this is that Crulex has a lot of reviews.
  20. 0:16 ouch. Aside from that, nice work. 0:31 (especially the melody) reminds me of Dearly Beloved. Good job keeping things interesting throughout.
  21. Very good chiptune mix. 1:30 is especially nice but there are a lot of good moments and playful chip synths. It's just too short.
  22. The meandering drums give a nice laid-back feel and that solo is indeed very good. The EP is also great, love the filtering. I thought this mix wouldn't fit my taste but I enjoyed it, so good job.
  23. I love the xylo runs, partly because xylo and partly because it makes for a great transition. Sick mix, lots of crazy things going on. Never a dull moment in this mix. Awesome work putting this monstrosity together.
  24. Very nice instrumental work to begin with, but then you add the electronic textures and it gets interesting. I like how somewhat glitchy rhythms are working alongside soft guitar and keyboard. Good writing.
  25. The flute sounds GREAT as a lead; perfect choice for the soundscape. Speaking of scapes, the atmosphere is just awesome in this track. IMO it really captures and expands on the essence of the source. Good job working in nuances like the organ and FX. Great mix.
