  1. kill u (You're welcome. I'll try to get an actual song up tomorrow.)
  2. That's why they're called direct posts. Great source, skillful arrangement. Not much more needs to be said here. The Zelda's Theme reference perhaps could have been incorporated a little more subtly, but was appreciated nonetheless. Welcome back, DS.
  3. We don't really print a whole lot, but enough to where we'd need a printer. Also, I'm thinking using refills will offset the cost of ink. If you can link me to a $200-$250 laser printer w/ fax machine though, that'd be awesome too. Thanks for the link, phill. I like that it has 4 cartridges, that should help with the ink issue. The 14.4k modem is kind of a turn-off though...any reason I shouldn't get the 3360c with a 33.6k at the same price?
  4. You're really CPacaud in disguise aren't you?
  5. Very cool. ET-2 reminded me of Shenmue. Now you just need to get some vocals all up in here! Edit: Argh, that was like the worst place ever to end the WIP. :(
  6. Haha, locked. Even though it is 100% on topic. Condescend much?
  7. Our family's old all-in-one is starting to die, and it's always been really annoying to use, so we're looking to get a new one. Our price range is probably $200 at the max, preferably under $150. All it needs to do is print and fax, don't care about scanning/copying capabilities. Tom's Hardware had a decent article, but it was posted in January, so I'm kinda thinking the models they suggested might be a little out of date by now. I've also checked Newegg, but there's a lot to choose from and it's just hard to get a gauge on which brands and models are trusted/reliable. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
  8. Cool cake, but what does the 'N' stand for?
  9. Highway Hunter: Revenge of the Hoo-Hoos. Awesome arrangement as usual, blad. Was definitely a little disappointed in the sound quality though (can't afford some strings with your 38G's/year? ), and it seems pretty borderline in terms of the 50/50 rule the judges have been citing. I'm almost positive they've NORESUB'd other submissions for lesser evils. Perhaps this represents a subtle change of focus in the panel? Or perhaps B-Unit was holding Larry's girlfriend hostage for vote ransom? In any case, glad to see this on the site. Not to mention Karl himself...good to see you're still around.
  10. I admit to often being guilty of "cloaking"...not because I want an advantage, but because I play a significant number of newbies, and I don't want to discourage someone who's probably never seen a chain in the double digits. Anyway, versus mode does have its flaws, but I still find it enjoyable. It's certainly much more interactive than the 2P Time Attack mode in the previous games, which was essentially nothing more than just two people playing 1P Time Attack in parallel. I think Friend Battle might be PPL's saving grace here. Certain items might be unbalanced, but they add some much-needed variety. The ability to talk smack to someone across the continent is also not an unsignificant perk. I'll probably be up for another hour or so, so if someone is looking for a battle, look me up in the friend code database.
  11. This is a piano arrangement of the final battle theme, "Graceful Assassin," in waltz time. It's got some Amelie influences, complete with out-of-tune piano. Sorry about the sound quality (lol mono). I did this for the same competition that Doug is entering (ZOMG REMICKS BATTEL). Actually, it's really just so that he doesn't get all the prize monies. The title is kind of allusion to the slow, lurching tempo. Or something. Whatever, just click the link. Clumsy Assassin
  12. A vocal Windfish arrangement would be the bee's knees.
  13. Unavoidable damage = fail. If you had to avoid it though it would be cool.
  14. No fair that your mom is like zomg awesome violinist. Let me steal her, k.
  15. Hm...it's hard to say which is better. The old MP3s are louder, but in my opinion the tone of the new MP3s is better. I feel the reverb is still a little bit too much in both versions. But I think that even if you submit it like this, it will be fine. Thank you, I'm glad you like my music. Your pieces are also wonderful...the arrangements are very creative, and your performance technique is flawless. It's almost like hearing the Chrono Trigger Piano Collection (if it existed ~_~ ). I can't stop listening to your "Wind" arrangement! I think it is the best one, and you should definitely submit it first.
  16. Hosting isn't that expensive, I'm sure people around here can point you to some providers with very reasonable prices. As for content management, you might look in WordPress. Heard a lot of good things about it.
  17. So you're assuming that Retro means "hectocycle" when they use "centicycle"?
  18. Ah, makes sense. I can understand the not using autoincrement, though.
  19. Wow, didn't know you had to enter those links by hand. Sounds incredibly tedious...
  20. I dunno why you'd say that...the arrangement is certainly good enough.
  21. Just saw this in the judging queue. Will be awesome if (when?) it passes.
  22. Indeed. The movie's been around for a while, but I really enjoyed the other two entries.
