Yay! Waiting for the final recording of my track before I can finish mixing & mastering, but hope to be done in a few weeks. We're still looking at an album release around Sonic's bday?

There's a few more albums in progress I have claims or tracks on. They might be in the R&C forums and unofficial ones, but these are the ones I'm aware of and working on. PS1 20th anniversary album - started early 2015, made good progress and has a decent amount of completed tracks. Seems a bit dormant now, but there's a final deadline in July 2016. Sonic the Hedgehog 25th anniversary album - started mid 2014 to celebrate Sonic's 25th birthday in June 2016. Decent amount of tracks (almost) finished, but project seems to develop slowly. Director is still directing and aiming for completion. Hometown Heroes - started early 2014, was in zombie state for quite a while. Currently looking for a (co) director, so hopefully this one will see completion. Skies of Arcadia: Arcadia Legend - started late 2015, so early days. Director seems very active and things look to be on track.

So does that mean we'll be seeing this album come back from the dead?

I'm still interested in claiming something, probably from King's Valley 2, but life dictates my energy and time currently need to be elsewhere. Hope to make a claim in a month or so!

Awww, too bad you can't participate I started working on my track yesterday (gosh, I love these 2 week long mixing periods, the luxury of time!). It's mostly disconnected ideas right now and since I didn't feel like varying between 3/4 and 4/4 I just decided to do a full 3/4 song again. Should be fun... I hope

I originally had 2 tracks for the albums, but since the album didn't go anywhere I already finished and submitted one of them to the panel. Once you get access to the subforum, let me know if you think it'd be good to have that track on the album too and I'd be happy to pull it off the panel.

I think you confused OCRI and OCRA

I like the idea of an OCRA album a lot, but let's first try to get the ball rolling again. Gotta finish my remaining track someday anyway

I figure directing an album isn't much different from directing a game or a project at work, so yeah, been there, done that. My main concerns are the time to keep people engaged and not having to chase people in my hobby time since my day job consists out of directing already Anyway, glad to see some activity and a volunteer for director. Now all we need is for Mirby to sign it off and we can get going again

I offered Mirby to help out a bit, but since I'm an album n00b I might not be qualified to run it all by myself. Still, I like the album concept a lot and have a WIP that's in pretty good shape that I'd be happy to leave on the album

So, lemme see if I got this straight. All the 9 people that lost in the first round are now fighting against each other for points by remixing Moonlight nocturne + their chosen source with a deadline in 2 weeks, rite?

Since WarMachine is now in the lead again I doubt it'll become a tie. But if it does and there's no tie breaking vote I can live with ceding victory to WarMachine because he has been in the lead more than I was IOW: don't worry about it!

That'd be pretty awesome actually! Not sure how a remix of 4 (!) tracks would work, but since Rickrolling the Sigma Gauntlet compo with my buddies from Maverick Astley I'm no stranger to lo^H three track remixes

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. I definitely plan to finish this one properly, with better vocals and to look into some weird pitch issues that I haven't been able to track so far. It might be hard to hear, but there's actually tons of source in my track, and yes, they are very intermingled. I didn't stick to just the melody, but there's also lots of smaller melodic figures to be found all over the place. Examples are the rhythm guitar figure at 0:17-0:19, the Wicked Child melody with the Heart of Fire arp organ 0:51, the guitar lead at 0:45 and some stuff in the intro that gets lost in the mix Guess I'll write them down for when I submit to OCR. Thanks again, you'll see it come back in the workshop and hopefully on OCR at some point.
