  1. Leveling up all of my characters to level 99 (excluding the shitty ones) on Final Fantasy 3 (or VI) while repeatedly listening to Sponge's Rotting Pinata (of course every character has to know Ultima). I also beat Mario 64 while listening to NOFX recordings. This doesn't mean that I didn't like the original recordings, nor are these my strongest gaming memories, but to me, this thread reads "Hey, spout out your random gaming memories." So far, I'm enjoying it.
  2. We're not talking about Ryu in Ninja Gaiden 2. Were talking about Ryu in Ninja Gaiden II. There's a big difference homeboy. Of course, we love Ninja/Pirate Ryu as well.
  3. Damn. You fanboys drive a hard game these days. We love all these characters - Shinobi, Goemon, Batman (who is actually a superhero with ninja influence), and of course, the greatest of all - fuckin' Ryu Hayabusa. Give it up people. It's like bringing dollar store water guns to a super soaker convention. YOU CAN'T WIN!!!
  4. RYU HAYABUSA IS THE GREATEST NINJA EVER AND IS THE COOLEST DUDE EVAR!!!!
  5. I think it was the time I beat Karnov in front of many friends. It took all the skill I had. Seriously, I am so proud of it. Several non-gaming friends jumped up and cheered me after I beat it. Beating Super Mario Bros 2 was a great memory as well. It was relatively easy but the ending was so gratifying. On Mega Man 2, jumping through the waterfalls into the water of bubbleman's stage - I still remember the chills going up through my torso. Same scenario when fighting Crash Man after ascending towards outer space. Or perhaps the time when I played the same game, left it on while my parents asked me to clean my room, and my Dad commented on how catchy the music was - about seventeen years ago - or when my Mom bought me the game when I was older and it was selling at the K-mart for ten bucks. Or playing Super Bomberman with three other people for several hours in a row. Also, beating Mega Man 3 (with my older sister's older blonde friend who heard I could beat Mega Man 1 and 2) with some blonde girl. Also, beating the first four Double Dragons with my brothers each time said games were released. Or watching my older brother hustle people out of quarters a whole summer on Street Fighter 2 at what was formerly the greatest arcade in my hometown. There are only two left, and they are a dismal relfection of the three arcades of those times. Discovering this site which is full of nerdy nostalgic fucks like me, is by far and large my greatest gaming moment.
  6. ^ Not bad, but I must bow in honor to the greatest Ninja who has ever walked the great plains of fiction, and his moniker reads "Mr. Ryu Hayabusa". Still, Kasumi is totally hot. And Shinobi definitely deserves some respect - at least an honorable mention award.
  7. Ryu Motherfuckin' Hayabusa. High ten. Kasumi? Nah, that's the sexiest Ninja alive.
  8. Why just avoid paying the bill? Tell them to fuck off and go to hell. I've done it a couple of times and it worked.
  9. You could just buy Mega Man Collection and Mega Man X Collection for ten dollars a piece instead of spending 100 bucks and still not having as many Mega Man games (and you wouldn't have to wait until they decide to release those games). Mega Man 9 is a must though. Absolutely required by any gamer who claims to have a pair of functional testicles or ovaries. Super Paper Mario? Decent game, but I personally feel like it is the weakest of the Paper Mario series, with the first two being equally awesome and the third being an entertaining spinoff. It was a cool experiment though, and its worth the money for a bored Wii fan.
  10. I am totally opposed to future/modern Zelda ideas. If you want modern adventure then go play GTA. The "old world" setting of the Zelda series is part of its charm and its essence, and I don't want to picture a Hyrule with skyscrapers and electrical gadgets. I already live in that world. Changing the gameplay and the now-redundant storyline would be nice. A little less linearity, like the first three Zelda games, and Oblivion, would be good too. And maybe a little less catering to OoT fanboys. Like some have already mentioned, Twilight Princess felt like a repeat (a damn good repeat, but still). Back to the point - Do I think this is a new Zelda game? I certainly don't have a clue, so I'm not even going to guess. Where'd I put my beer?
  11. Shining Force > Final Fantasy Anything (except IV)
  12. I heard the Wii 2 is coming out next Christmas and is going to shoot holograms out of the TV.
  13. Mario Galaxy is great. I think it's time to change up the formula for all Ninty's key franchises though (or else resurrect the lonely ones and give Mario, Zelda, and Metroid some time to recoup). On a somewhat related note, I thought the whole wolf thing was just as stupid in Zelda as in Sonic.
  14. I bought a medium white and it fits pretty well. If you're used to retrofit style shirts (a lot of shirts are now), then you won't like 'em. But if you like the traditional comfy T's I think you'll dig 'em. Unless you have huge guns then you're going to have a little arm room. E-Starland sent me a few stickers with the shirt and the big bumper sticker is pretty cool. It's sitting on my machine but I think I'll try to peel it off and put it on my car. A lot of people comment on the shirt when I pass by them. They ask each other about it and don't know that I can hear them. "It must be some video game or something".
  15. I liked the big speech before the humans fought in their battle-suit robot things. That was badass. I enjoyed it. People seem to forget that the first had its flaws. I hate the 3rd though. Just a bunch of wishy washy philosophical stuff and a very disappointing conclusion.
  16. Anything + I-Anything-made-by-Apple = complete bullshit. Seriously.
  17. Wait, that ain't right. Some of his music is actually pretty good. I just mean that I'm surprised, because his music is pretty unique and it kinda rocks.
  18. That's just awesome. I love Powerglove AND Dragonforce. See what kind of wonderful things start happening when our generation comes of age?
  19. Thank you. My stomach hurts from laughing so hard. Anyway, I'm going back to the movie here, and the characters seem spot on in terms of personality, but they look drastically different from what I'd expect them to look like. I don't see why everyone is still appalled with Roll (maybe she should of bleached her eyebrows to match the wig, seriously), but it looks like an enjoyable internet movie and I have to commend the people responsible for going through with it. I'm looking forward to it. My biggest complaint - Dr. Wily is really funny and his voice is cool too, but he SHOULD BE BALD IN THE MIDDLE OF HIS HEAD. SHAVE THAT FRIKKIN' HEAD, YOU HEAR ME?
  20. Yeah, it is total BS. My older brother has my old memory card (because I gave him the Cube after getting the Wii) so now I have to go back and play each game like 30 times to unlock them. I think it would be much better to unlock them by beating each game. That's incentive to really milk the game.
  21. Yeah, ^ game of the year up there. If you don't feel like waiting, pick up Sonic Mega Collection Plus for PS2, Gamecube or Xbox. It comes with a shitload of Sonic games plus oddballs like Sonic Spinball and Mean Bean Machine. And Ristar, which fucking rules. It's much better to pick it up for $10 bucks than to buy all of the games individually for on the Xbox or Wii store, which might cause you around $150 dollars. Also, I'm at marble garden zone on Sonic 3 and I already have all the Chaos Emeralds. Woo hoo! Here's for collecting all of them again when I open up the save file on Sonic and Knuckles, which also rocks like AC/DC on crack.
  22. Sometimes I get so focused on the point I am trying to make that I wAnder off and mispel (misspell mis-spell?) things.
  23. Zero Suit Samus is sure hot, but I have to agree with the people who say it's better for her to leave the suit on. That mysteriousness and hidden sexuality make Samus what she is and making her appearance available at all times (like in Smash brothers) detracts from it. Also, my only complaint about Metroid Prime 3 was the multiple-planet layout of the game. It was a cool diversion, but yes, being lost in one huge planet is what Metroid is all about. Personally, I like the fact that they're giving the game a rest. I'd also like to see a reboot for the Zelda franchise and a feel more akin to the first NES games (not graphically, but moodwise). How about that badass leveling system from Zelda 2 and some more spells? Flame sword? Projectile sword? Hookshot on enemies? How about the game not holding your hand so damn much and just letting you wonder off and get your ass kicked by going two screens in the wrong direction? Oops, this is about Metroid. Sorry.
