A made-up guitar? Yes, count me in. You have a point injury. A lot of people would rather play a Fender or drive a Ferrari. I'd rather play a giant mutant guitar that comes alive to eat the flesh of emo musicians. Just me, personally. Okay, let me be honest. Those situations are quite okay. It's the 'Fender' displays that are annoying. The guitar is cool, and Ferraris are pretty cool too. But the display of logos and billboards is quite annoying, and I don't like paying for it. I also don't watching a movie with a real Applebees commercial in the middle (Taledega Nights). Also, I am glad that we don't have said advertisements in fantasy games. If I were to see an advertisment in a Legend of Zelda game, I would be pressed to organize a boycott.

It's getting really popular. I remember when I was a little kid, and I rented Biker Mice from Mars on the SNES. It was a pretty fun game that played like RC ProAm and Rock and Roll Racing, if you remember those (isometric overhead view, pick up items on the track and use then in the race). It was a fun game, but there was one major problem: There were Snickers candy bar advertisements on the tracks and one of the actual items was a Snickers candy bar. It mad me mad. I felt violated, because I was buying an advertisement. Many of you could care less. The truth is, I don't care if you don't care. I only want to hear from other people who are annoyed with it. It's a bunch of crap. It's getting too popular. Sometimes I go to a friends house and play Rock Band on his X-Box 360. It's a lot fun (that's an understatement), but sometimes I leave wanting to buy a Fender guitar. I really don't like that with the truth being that I have a metallic blue Jackson Flying V that stomps on everything. Ignore that part please. An executive from EA argues that in-game advertisements help to make the gaming experience more real. That's bullshit. It makes the gaming experience more corporate and crappy - That is what it does. It makes them free money because you are paying for the advertisement. You aren't paying for commercials that come on the air (not cable or satellite). You aren't paying for those billboards on the street. You are paying for in-game ads. That's right people - we're coining in money to pay for advertisements. Here come the counter-arguments. "But in-game adds can help cover for development costs and they help us find things they like". Yeah, development costs that come out of your own pocket, let alone the $50 bucks you are paying. "The gaming industry doesn't make any more money then they did before." They were making way too much back then. It's finally evened out now. Getting screwed in the ass doesn't hurt as much for people that enjoy getting screwed there, but I'm not really into that. Anyway, those ads get in the way of the story and the feel of the game. They pull me back into the shopping mall abyss that I dwell through in the real world, and I don't like it at all. I know which evil corporation I want to give my money to, and those evil corporations are making video games. I don't need references to other evil corporations, especially when I already have two bags of doritos in my kitchen. The golden rule: If a businessperson has the opportunity to screw someone over, buisnesseprson will. It took them a while to realize the amount of butts they could screw through the medium of video games, and now they've done it. Here's to playing a Mario game in ten years and all of a sudden having the urge to buy some Levis overalls (which will be popular again in ten years). Have a nice day, and remember to hate advertising like I do.

Yes, I noticed immediately. Also, the changing of colors on the screen was inspired by Crashman's stage, I think. I also think the big red lava beams were inspired by those in Quickman's stage. By the way, it's a hard game. I'm thinking of beating it again to get that 3 day in a row achievement thingamabob.
-
game of the year 2008. Seriously. My butt hurts. Thanks capcom. Also, damn the giganitc beams.... concrete man... perfect timing.... Man, if any company knows their fans it's capcom. Sorry Nintendo.

He's kinda like a modern Troma if you ask me. * Runs off and dodges bullets from Troma fans.* Long live the Toxic Avenger!

7 had a really good soundtrack and it really sounds inspired, much like the earliest Mega Man games. But no, I'd go with 2 all the way. Still, 7 has some great themes and the music matches the stages really well. Mega Man 9 is more blues/pentatonic based than the other Mega Man games and the tracks remind me of other games back then. Still, I'm happy about it and I can't wait to play the game.

The thing I didn't like about it is that it doesn't allow you level up past level 30 or somewhere around there. That really annoyed me. Dammit, I'm trying to finish another RPG before I download this game, but I'm tempted to do it right now.
-
Tales of Symphonia was pretty cool. I never actually finished it because my friend who owned it moved. My main complaint was the battle system - I think it was a little bit too flexible and I could never get it right because of that. I ended up using two characters to kill the enemies and the other guys kinda just wandered around because I was giving them the wrong commands. Then I ended up healing my dead party members after almost every battle, and I'm not a big fan of random enemies anymore. Still, it was a good game, and I think I'll give the sequel a try. I love RPGs, and the few that get released on Nintendo consoles are often very good. I'm still waiting to finish Fire Emblem Path of Radiance (I actually beat the wii sequel first) and then I'm downloading Super Mario RPG stat. (Also looking forward to Shining Force 2).

I wouldn't be surprised if a remix of it comes out on here before the game does. I'm very excited about this game. I'm having a party on the release date, and we're going to drink blue fu fu drinks while I try to beat the game without continuing. Edit: Holy shit! They brought back the old post-continue music. Oh my god oh my god. New music is good too.

It's pretty much my girl-entertaining/virtual console machine. I love it. There's an undeniable lack of core games (but if you'd look around you'd actually find some good games), but I'm way to busy to play it all the time. Also, Fire of Emblem: Radiant Dawn (for wii!) is so good it'll make you cry. There's also a lot of interesting third party games coming out this Halloween. Yeah, but seriously Nintendo, what the hell is wrong with you?

Emulator. Ebay. Your friend who has the game. X- bawx hack. Import.
-
Uh, what? That makes absolutely no sense at all.
-
Cool, but I'm still wondering what happened to the Wii Kirby game.

Hell yeah. I started a Dragonforce thread a couple of weeks ago (actually, it wasn't completely about Dragonforce), and it opened the gates of hell. Expect more of the same. Anyway, I haven't listened to all of it yet. From what I've heard, it's awesome. The solos are less about proving stuff and more about just being awesome. Lyrics are still stupid and cheesy, yet completely enjoyable and meaningful if you're in a stupid mood. Songs and rhythms are more varied (not just endless 4-4 this time). So yeah, really cool, also mad props to the keyboardist for the old school "8-bit" sounds. Edit: I forgot a couple of things. The album is way happier than the others. It's about as uplifting as uplifting trance music is, and also it's way more electronic-sounding. I actually think it's way different from Inhuman Rampage. One more thing - The vocals are way more varied and they're not as much a backing instrument as they were. Can't wait to wear the thing out over the next few weeks.

I think Wind Waker had better graphics than twilight princess. I love both of those games so much, but yeah Wind Waker's graphics were just superb. The only thing I didn't really like about Wind Waker was that most of the world was made up of small islets. There was hardly any land on the game, and it made you wonder how the people were able to survive or even find enough trees to build their boats (plus I like exploring the land. Still waiting to get a DS so I can play the sequel.... Twilight Princess was/is really good, but I think the formula was starting to get stale when it came around. In the meantime, I think I'll try the Minish Cap game before I move on to the DS Zelda game.

That's it. I'm taking my DKC games out of the closet, and I'm getting Jungle Beat back from my brother. They're just too fun. I don't know why anyone would think DKC is awful. It's excellent platforming fun and the music and graphics are awesome.
-
No, professor, what you're talking about is called DK Bongo Blast. DK Jungle Beat is an action platformer played with the same bongo controllers. And no, I don't know any black people who owned either of the games. Don't get me wrong, I love Donkey Kong Country. I've owned all three for years. I watched the Nintendo Power video a year before I finally owned the first game. I still love all three of them, but I bought DK Jungle Beat after my girlfriend played it at a Gamestop, and we both have more fun playing it than any Donkey Kong Country game. If you're a true Donkey Kong fan, you will go buy Jungle Beat. It's twenty bucks, and that is a complete steal.
-
No, the most recent one was DK Jungle Beat, an awesome and extremely underrated gamecube game that's probably more fun than any of the DKC games. This is excluding DK King of Swing, which is more like a action-puzzler than a platformer. Seriously, it's sad that people are begging for another DKC when they haven't even played Jungle Beat.

But the game behind the music is so important. Yes, there are some remixes I love, and I've never played the game, but most of the mixes I have happen to have more value based off of the game. The game - the story, the gameplay, etc, it inspires the music. The music carries the essence of the game. If someone likes a song regardless of it's background, then I like that, but when I hear Twin Blood by Sixto, I'm not just a man - I'm a man with the power of the Double Dragon and I want to karate kick someone's head off just like Billy or Jimmy would.
-
It pisses me off too. I have the same problem. I mention video games and they cower away in disgust. The rare, cool people, usually reply with something like "I don't care. I like it!". Anyway, yeah, it pisses me off too.
-
Cold fusion? Even if it is possible, it's a difficult and lengthy process.

I'm going to watch the perseids meteor shower after I shower with your MOM. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Lol.

Donkey Kong Country is kickass. There. That's all. I enjoy playing the game. Not only does it have a lot of nostalgic value for me, but it's still really fun to play and I still love the atmosphere of the game. Barrelling through enemies, blasting through barrels, great music and sound, still-impressive graphics. Overrated? Who cares? Best game ever? Hell no. I still love it. DKC3? Not as polished as the others, but still cool as hell. I love Donkey Kong Country. There. It doesn't matter what everyone else thinks. Maybe a little bit, but whatever.

Unreleased Super Mario Kart Music Discovered! (um, play along)

Yeah, the mirror mode. I remember, wasn't there some kind of code for the music in the Korean version? Anyway, it needs to be remixed. Any good remixers out there? -

It's rainbow road backwards. I really do think so.
