I'm actually eating three boiled eggs right now (my job made me so damn scrawny so I'm eating like a sumo wrestler now). Those PETA people make some good ripoff games, and I've already played that one pretty far. I just don't like how they go about animal rights. I hate PETA so much. Animal cruelty is bad, but you have to kill in order to live, whether the victim be animal or plant. I wish PETA would learn to understand the basic laws of nature.

If it was a mediocre first person shooter it would've gotten at least an 8.

Yeah, it always seems to let me down less when the game was actually really hard. I'm also going to go out on a limb and say that the disappointment comes from knowing the game through and through. I think I was already disappointed when Zelda: Twilight Princess came out because I knew everything about it before I had every played the game. I don't plan on doing that again. Also, it was too easy. That game kinda left me dead at the end, although I still enjoy playing it every few months.

Well, they're publishing the Conduit and making a new Wii House of the Dead game, which I think is pretty cool. But when I need a SEGA fix, I go to virtual console. They were so amazing back then, you know, Streets of Rage, Fantasy Zone, Ristar, sigh.... I still pull out the Sonic Mega Collection too. There's nothing like a six pack of beer and a good Sonic fix. Oh, if you're worrying about SEGA messing up the online component, then don't hold your breath. Nintendo's already made sure that the online component will suck, you know, unless the publisher is cool enough to host the game on its own server (which actually has been done with some Wii games and worked very well).

Beating a video game leaves you dead? Sometimes, but not on those really hard games that require ultimate devotion. I remember the first time I beat Karnov, the sky changed colors and everybody in the room came. The ending left more to be desired though.

A cross between Mega Man and Bo Rai Cho from Mortal Kombat 4.

This remix rocks and it's way better than listening to stupid rednecks run around screaming about football.

I'm halfway through Super Mario RPG, Shining Force 2 (which is part of an awesome series that any of you RPG nuts should be playing now) is waiting for me, and now Secret of Mana is out. My Wii has turned into an old-school RPG machine.

I think Hornet Man's stage has pretty kickass music.

Well, it's not like actual code is being stored on the game cartridge itself. Still, you would of thought the people would backed up the original code. I still think that argument is dumb, because the Wii uses emulators and the emulators that have been out for over a decade are able to play almost any game. If a nerd in a basement can do it, I'm pretty sure an entire frikking software firm can do it.

Well, liking Mega Man is one thing, but modelling part of your life philosophy on him is another.

Have you ever cried because a song was THAT good?
Devyn replied to LuketheXjesse's topic in General Discussion
No, doesn't make me cry, just makes me want to chug a case of Pabst Blue Ribbon and fight Satan and Chuck Norris on a mountaintop. -
I think Mega Man music kicks ass.

That was Gecko who said that, and yes, it's fine to compare the two, I just think that the Wily music from Mega Man 2 is the definitive Wily music. I see that ya'll are sticking up for the underdog tracks that didn't get enough coverage, and there's nothing wrong with that, because a lot of great tracks from great games are never remixed let alone heard, so I understand. A lot of it simply deals with taste. Cossack's stage 1 is like some Russian style track with a lot of variety, and Wily stage 2 is an epic rock-style tune that sounds more like Skull Man from Mega Man 4 and therefore I think those two are more apt for comparison.

Yeah, but I got StarTropics (3rd run), Mega Man 9 DLC, Super Mario RPG (2nd run), Shining Force 2 (first time), and Gamecube Fire Emblem (got to the end and waited for a month) staring down my throat. But this isn't about me, it's about Nekofrog saling his game, so I'll let ya'll continue. Is RE3 really that good?
-
Really? I like 1 and 2 the best, but 3 had some killer tunes. Sparkman, Magnet Man, Snake Man are all pretty awesome. The rest aren't bad either. Mega Man 7 had some good music too, I think it had the magic of the earliest Mega Man games. Bubbleman is my favorite Mega Man tune of all time though. I still remember jumping from that waterfall into that water for the first time - probably sent chills up my spine for 20 minutes. Mega Man 2 doesn't joke around. I wonder which composer contributed to that game the most - I heard one of the composers from Mega Man 2 did work on 9. Oh, Bun bun, clarified by Gecko. "Cossacks music is better than the MM2 Wily music" No No No. Not true at all. Nuh uh. No sir. But, yeah, it's all about taste. Still I think it's like saying that Yellow Submarine is better than Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. Both songs are great, yet one will always tower over the other in the hearts and minds of fans.

Yeah Gamestop is a bunch of shit. They bought out Rhino Games, which was awesome, but there are a ton of other reasons I hate them. Not interested in the game though, I still have 15 other games lying around that I have to beat.

I'm a big fan of both. I like Piccolo because of his no-bullcrap attitude. He says what he wants to say and fights who he wants to fight, and he's just cool - kinda like Ryu from Streetfighter. Vegeta is easily my favorite villain/anti-hero, because he's arrogant in a cool way. He wants to be number one and he'll do anything at any cost to reach his goals, even though he rarely succeeds. Plus he's just a cocky little bastard with the strength to match his cockiness. On the other hand, Tranformers paid little respect to the original and I think that it's a bunch of product-placing bullshit! Now, I'd like to be honest with my own cocky comments from earlier. Sure, this movie is going to be laughable, but I didn't really expect anything else. Yet, this movie may surprise us. Some movies have a trailer that shows something really cool, and it sucks. Consider vice versa, as it happens quite often. Many people thought Bridge to Terebithia was going to be a great movie. It was marketed as a fantasy movie. It wasn't. It was a serious drama of sorts, and many people hated it. The remaining people loved it. I certainly did. What I'm saying is that Dragonball, whether or not it's the tribute that hardcore fans will want, it will be entertaining. Will it be accurate to the original animated series? I doubt it. In a way, I think that it shouldn't be. Most movies that I've seen, which completely try to mimick the original, don't translate properly. There have to be some changes, because non-fans have to at least understand what's going on, because the characters would appear stupid and robotic if they tried to completely mimic their animated counterparts. Should hardcore Dragonball fans feel insulted if this movie sucks? Yes, because that's something sacred to you. Dragonball may have been a big influence in your life and I certainly think that your heroes deserve the proper tribute, so contrary to my original post, feel free to bitch all you want. I failed to consider that it my earlier post, but there you go. Also, WHERE THE FUCK IS PICCOLO? WHAT THE HELL. WHERE IS HE????!!!
-
Yeah, I do. The problem is that when you get a new movie trailer on the internet you also get thousands of man-boys who have determined that the associated movie sucks without having watched it. Also, thank God that none of the characters look the same as they do on the cartoon because they basically looked like a bunch of inbred children on steroids.

Add in all the third party titles coming out and I'd say that it basically urintates on that sentiment.
-
I thought it was the hardest at first, but I don't think so anymore. Mega Man 3 is still scary hard, especially when you have to fight the Mega Man 2 bosses again. Also, if you purchase the items from the shop (Mega Man 9), you can have a great advantage in the Wily stages. But I would say that it's at least the hardest Mega Man game after 3.
-
Wow. Not bad. I'm looking forward to the new Punch Out, the Vanillaware game, and Endless Ocean 2. There are a lot of interesting-looking games on there. Nintendo should have pulled these guns out at E3.
-
So, when is Mega Man 10 coming out?

"Can video games be art?" That is the crappiest question. Art is just a small piece of video games. Art is a fraction of what makes a video game great. Video games don't strive to be art. It's the other way around. Art should try to be more like video games, then I might actually give a shit about art.
