  1. Hey thanks for taking the time to stop by I am making this cover of Forest Interlude from DKC2 as a sort of "self benchmark" to see how well I can emulate David Wise's signature tone into my own music. It is in a lot of ways pretty close to the original, however all of the sounds (minus one FLEX instrument and my percussion samples) are made from scratch with Serum and stock FL plugins. I am only a few years into this hobby, mostly being self taught. I guess I am looking for feedback on the quality of my mixing - as well as my writing since I wrote it all by ear. I think my mix is kinda quiet honestly, but I'd like to think I did good on the overall leveling of things. What do you think?

  4. Hi! I finished my new cover. It's End of the Dark from Policenauts game. The soundtrack has awesome 80's 90's feeling and i wanted to bring it out more in this arrangement with my style :D. Feedback is appreciated :). Here is the Cover: Here is the Original:

  12. Hello! I just finished new arrangement for Dark Cloud - Main Theme. Guitar is in the main role, but piano and synth also plays key parts in this. The original: What are your thoughts? I have been struggling with drum programming a little bit recently. If anyone knows or has some helpful tutorials concerning that, I'm very interested to check those out!
  13. Hello, everyone ! Lately, I listened to the "Perfect Selection: Snatcher Battle" album and discovered this sweet Vocal Cover of the "Peaceful Avenue" track: I really enjoy this version but, since I don't speak japanese at all, I can(t get a single clue of what the song is about. I was wondering is someone here has the skills and five minutes of spare time left to translate the lyrics for me. It's one of these tracks I might want to remix at some point and it could be nice to produce an english version of it. Here's an image taken from the album that might help whoever is interested in this quest: Thanks in advance Cheers !
  14. Here's a pretty straightforward metal cover of Undertale's MEGALOVANIA (as if there weren't enough of those). I did one years ago but this one came out much, much better, though admittedly I did rush it as I recorded most of it in a day. I really like the mixing/mastering on this one and any feedback on that aspect is appreciated. SoundCloud:
  15. HI! I did a cover for guitar of - Tifa's Theme - from Final Fantasy VII by the great composer Nobuo Uematsu. Check it out and share if you like!
  16. Hey y'all! Long time no see. Given the somewhat irregular output I've had recently I wanted to make sure this was kind of a big thing before I posted in GenDisc (If this doesn't count, I throw myself to the mercy of the mods). I've been pretty busy going back to school and getting ready to have a kid here pretty soon, but I wanted to finish a song and make a video before the baby comes. Believe it or not, my (seven month pregnant) wife actually helped out a lot on the video side of things and made the video shoots of the pumpkins possible. Anyway, I wanted to post this here because, to be honest, my mindset while making this song was very similar to how we do ReMixes here; take the original and do an original arrangement of it. I love the Halloween theme and Carpenter's style, both filmically and musically, so without further adieu: And the song, with free download:
  17. Hello people. Wanted to share here one of my work. It isn't supposed to become an OCR thing, but just wanted to share it with you, as i think it's one of my "best" work so far. Even if i'm still a noob with synth and i still have a lot to learn about mixing. But anyway, here it is, any kind of feedbacks, even harsh ones are welcome, as my goal is to keep on improving =)
  18. Hello to all the amazing Ocremix comunity, My name is Carlo Francesco Lopez and i wanna share with you my latest recording. Its a medley of Double Dragon 3 for the NES. Cheers!! lml
  19. I haven't posted to OCR in several years now. I miss arranging! But, I've focused more on honing my teaching/playing/recording craft. I was on the fence about which forum to post this in: It's a full band cover (but with the original vocals), it's non-VGM, and it's from a music-based anime series called K-On! So, if this needs to be deleted or moved, that's cool. I figured someone here might enjoy it!
  20. Hello people, i just made a new thing, a kind of "smooth" guitar version of Floating Away from Kirby Super Star! I originally don't know Kirby music so i took the time to listen to a bunch of them and this one caught my attention. I really liked how relaxing the main melody was. So my idea for the arrangement was to make it even more chill. My main inspiration was "Breath" by Pink Floyd, especially for the drums. This arrangement also features a lot of improvisation (approximately 60% of the song) so i took a lot of freedom here and it's really different from the original. Still hope i managed to keep the global mood!
  21. Every few days in December, I uploaded a Christmas-style remix of a classic video game song to my channel. Now that December is over, I've completed the album and uploaded it as one big video. Most of these are just covers so I'm not planning on submitting any of them (unless you think certain ones could be accepted). I just want to post this here for you guys to enjoy. I had a lot of fun making these and I'd love for you to listen to them and let me know what your favorites are and how I could improve for next year. 22. Hello! I made orchestral cover for The Mad Doctor theme from Mickey's Wild Adventure game. This project was kind of practice thing where i tried different kinds of string combinations and pan techniques. Here is the Cover: Here is the Original:
  23. Here's another one! As the nights are becoming longer and colder we thought to keep you guys warm with a proper shuffle blues riff, this time from the amazing niche SNES gem PLOK! The then very young Tim and Geoff Folin got something amazing out of the limited capabilities of the SNES music chip, something that is as quirky and unique as the whole game. Enjoy and remember! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feMWBujjQ2M Stefan of REMEMBER CITADEL ( https://www.facebook.com/remembercitadelband )
  24. Hi :)! I finished new cover. It's Underwater theme from Super Mario Bros. I went for the clean guitar and i think it turned out quite okay. Feedback is appreciated! Here is the Cover: Here is the Original:
