  1. Hey guys, his is my cover of "Bonds of Sea and Fire" from Xenogears, composed by Yasunori Mitsuda. This is also my entry to the #SoundoleChillOut2018 contest! I originally wanted to do something more "chill" but during the arrangement i felt the need to fill a bit the drums and to add a bit of EDM arpeggios or distorted lead guitar. So it's maybe not the most relaxing thing, but i tried to use a bunch of reverb to keep that "chill" vibe. So we are curently working on a XenoGears album with the Pixel Mixers, i'm working on 2 other Xeno songs for the album, but i wanted to use Soundole's contest to work on a 3rd one, cause, you know, i love that OST so much (it's my favourite Mitsuda's work). Been re listening to some Enigma (New Wave/Chill band) and they use lots of percussions and sometimes distortion guitar but the whole mix and atmosphere of the song makes it chill, that's what i tried to achieve here!
  2. Sup OCR? it's been a while eh? Got a new Rockman/Megaman EXE remix up and thought I'd share it. Hope y'enjoy! LIGHTING UP THE DARK - MMBN3 R-MIX
  3. A metal remix of Death Adder from Golden Axe on the Sega Megadrive. One of my favourites from this soundtrack, couldn't resist going epic dark metal on it. Original track is below the remix, enjoy! (hopefully...) I am also looking for remix collabs and other music projects, if anyone is like-minded please message me. Original Track
  4. Updated contra music and match the progression of the song to about how far I can make it now without the code. Getting old now :p
  5. Hello all! Been coming here for years lurking about and finally decided to get back into music after finding some 7 year old mixes on a USB drive Whipped this together pretty quickly and it's a fair bit conservative but I like making the old songs that are more like a remaster with few liberties. Always liked the end music of Mario 2 so I chose that one to get my feet wet again! Feedback always welcome!!! Edit: I did the pads in the intro and bass with drums/percussion throughout. Left the main melody but slowed the tempo to something where I liked it Kinda simple for this place but hopefully still ok
  6. Here's a little duet I did with myself. Most of it is improvised on the spot, everything besides the harmony and theme of course. I'm not so sure about the audio quality. It sounds decent, but also not spectacular. Same with the mixing. Any opinions on this? Original tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dhzm7HJiMA&t=92s Thank yooouuuu!
  7. This is a Tribute Album to FFVI Music, featuring all the songs from the Original Soundtracks, rearranged and interpreted by 71 musicians from the Pixel Mixers Community! 58 songs, for 3h 25min of music This album features 3 “discs” called “Esper“, “Super Sanity” and “World’s Requiem“. We decided to share the songs in a way to create some “narrative arcs” between the songs, so the order is different from the OST. If you want a taste of our album before downloading, here is a trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5VFEbGCy-o Or if you want to learn more about it, here is the article on our website: https://pixel-mixers.com/2018/05/02/final-fantasy-vi-worlds-requiem-tribute-album/ It's also directly downloadable here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/9t93furgsrtrkua/Pixel+Mixers+-+World's+Requiem+[Final+Fantasy+VI].zip Hope you'll like it, OCR Senpai!
  8. Hey there OCR! I just finished one of my Cinematic covers, this time it's a Sonic the Hedgehog one!
  9. Hello there! It's been a while (almost 2 years) since I've touched anything from Unreal or Unreal Tournament, so I thought t was about time to remix something quite underrated from my favourite videogame soundtrack ever, enjoy!
  10. Just had some fun with FLStudio, if you'll enjoy - it will be good. Game list: 1. Contra Hard Corps choose player 00:00 2. Contra Hard Corps train boss 00:27 3. Zero tolerance level 2 01:24 4. Jackal level 2 02:23 5. ODB special - Dune and the Arrakis dope 03:22 6. Terminator 2 stage 4 04:07
  11. Hey everyone! I just completed this solo piano arrangement of "Flowers Blooming in the Church" from Final Fantasy VII and I thought you guys might enjoy it. I had seen a handful of piano arrangements of this piece, but overall this version of Aerith's theme doesn't get the attention it deserves. For my arrangement, I really wanted to push that tragic and expressive side of this piece, while staying true to the original tune. I've also included a link to the sheet music download in the Youtube video description. Hope you guys enjoy and have a wonderful weekend!
  12. just couldn't resist, so I took my remix from 2003 and added filter effects with ableton and a second and third melody-track (using the super-amazing Rayblaster VST) (added an old video of a landscape I built in cryengine sandbox years ago) remix (well, 2 remixes actually) can be heard here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svPV9-hPFe0
  13. Here's my remix of Level 3-2 from Turrican 1. I've been listening a lot to the original track the last few days and I couldn't get it out of my head. I had to create a remix... I wasn't sure with my choice of instruments at first but I'm really happy how they sound now (after some tweaks and library surfing). I tried to recreate the original bass instrument sound but this is as close as I got and I think it fits in very well into the general style of the remix. Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy this remix: Btw. I'm not sure which genre this remix fits in. I would say it's some sort of synthwave but i'm not sure which sub-genre... Link to the original Track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVBeoJei9Cc
  14. Hey! I'm currently learning how to record and mix for my YouTube channel. It's been a long process but I'm slowly getting there. Here's is Yooka Laylee's Tropic Trials. Please give me any feedback you can on the music or even the video quality if you want.
  15. Super Mario fans! Check out the vocal version of “New Donk City” from Super Mario Odyssey! The city that never leaps so a funky groove fits the tune! Lets get lit in New Donk City! Enjoy! The instrument I found from Soundcloud, but I decided to put lyrics on it.
  16. I present to you my latest creation, it comes straight from the depths of hell I used three different guitar synths to get the sound right, my goal was to match the tone of the original midi video game music as closely as possible, within reason. I know that the guitars doesn't sound all too realistic, but I still think the track sounds pretty good, have a listen and see for yourselves.
  17. I know people are usually averse to VG covers with vocals, but for this one I parodied a song that's supposed to have lyrics while incorporating a VG track. Do you think it worked out? Originals:
  18. Hello Everyone ! "The Great Video Game Orchestra" is an album of remaster music of my favorite video games. I have been working on it for about a year. I hope you like it ! https://remygouxproduction.bandcamp.com/album/the-great-video-game-orchestra-vol-1
  19. Hi guys! I recently finished a cover of Bowser highway showdown from Super mario 3D world, tell me what you think about this remix. It's important to mention that I played all the guitars on this track.
  20. My remake of Hateno Village from Zelda: Breath of the Wild, with just a touch of Kakariko Village and Zelda's Theme added in.
  21. I finished my second Secret of Mana song. This time I would like to get some feedback before I release it anywhere. https://instaud.io/private/be25f112302535ffdea542e00aea6e732ffcf541 Instruments played by myself besides the vocals are guitar, bass, and concertina. The rest is programmed. I mastered it to -14 LUFS and there is no chance to convince me to kill any of the dynamics. Here are the lyrics for the song: Nightingale Sing to me Stories of Celebra- tions and of People whose Dreams came to life Oh – you’re not alone – in this world Oh – step on the hole – in the ground They’ll be crossing your path Take the chance while it lasts And be – just be Chorus: Nightingale Sing to me Stories of Celebra- tions and of People whose Dreams came to life Nightingale On the fence I know that You are the Bringer of Lore tell a Curious tale Ah – life can be real – if you are Ah – lose your ideal – go too far Leave the stars in the sky You can learn how to fly And be – just be Chorus Ah – don’t say no more – I will try Ah – open the door – it is nigh Break the seal of the lair To Inhale some fresh air And be – just be Chorus
  22. Recently completed my first mixtape where I remixed a number of my favorite tracks from Chrono Trigger. Probably best categorized as Vaportrap/Lofi Hip Hop [ChronoWave] ¦ [クロノ波 ]
