  1. Hi everyone - I tried to mash up the FF6 Airship theme from the World of Ruin with Frog's theme from Chrono Trigger. This was a tricky remix, since individually these songs are stylistically independent. But I played the melodies over each other, and thought that it was a great enough fit to try a remix. I experimented a lot with different instruments for leads, especially for Frog's theme. Normally I would never use a trumpet but here, it felt just right! Hope you guys enjoy it!! Any feedback appreciated, good or bad. Always willing to learn to get better Remix Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opa-ADmpmsU Source (FF6 Searching for friends): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnvZ6Dqv7Ws Source (Chrono Trigger Frog's Theme): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yp7PYi5b8jg
  2. Just Tried my Hand at my first drum and bass song. I think It came out pretty good and I hope you guys dig it. Peace
  3. Recently, a mix I posted back when I knew very little about production was just recently reviewed by the judges, and I'm fixing the issues that were prevelant. Knowing what I know now, I hope I can fix all the issues and resubmit it. Reviewed Mix: New Mix (In fixing progress): The Boss is Back in Town ReMix Source: If anybody could compare the original to the new remix and see if you think I improved on the judges critiques or not, that would be awesome. Thanks to anybody offering insight! (I'm not done with arrangement or production just yet.)
  4. The youtube version is a screen capture of my FL Studio project. The soundcloud link below is the high (much higher quality) quality final mix. I never go for any specific sound I kind of just let the workflow be it's own being in a way. Sometimes I get sort of a retro modern sound, if that makes sense.
  5. Hello again, OCR! Here's a new* remix from Legend of Mana that I just finished. * It started out as a loop back in 2008, made it a full length thing in 2015, and finished working on it now after putting it aside for... a year or so. What do you think? Cheers, Jonas
  6. The youtube video has no fx and is basically unmastered. The soundcloud link below has a 320 kbps mp3 download of the final mix with FX. Took about 7 or 8 hours of my day yesterday.
  7. The soundcloud one has better sound quality. The youtube one shows a screen capture of the track in FL Studio.
  8. Hello! This is a remix that I just posted on SoundCloud and submitted to OCR. It started out as a plain Jenova remix, but after messing around with it and adding some harmonic layering from Find Your Way (FF8) onto the chords and started messing with the chord coloring, it sounded cool enough to me so I added a section that is more centered around that source in the middle of the track. What do you think? Do the sources work well together? Cheers, Plato
  9. Hello there! First of all I want to say hi to everyone in this community, I'm new here, althought I know OCremix for a long time! This is my first post here, so I hope I'm not doing anything wrong, If I'm please tell me and I'll fix it asap! I want to share with you the soundtrack I made for BOOR, the game by Dazlog, which is on Steam since 14th February: The soundtrack consist of 27 electronic songs with an atmospheric touch. It's one of the largest and more complex works I've ever done, and I'm quite proud with the result! Anyway, I hope you like it, and of course any comments or reviews are welcome! Thanks!
  10. Trying my hand at Electronica with possible my favorite S&K song of all time... Lava Reef / Hidden Palace Zone! S3&K was my favorite game and first game I ever owned (Yes I had both the S&K lock-on cartige and Sonic 3) growing up so I figured why not tip my hat to the game that made me love video games. Keep doing Great things SEGA!
  11. Hey guys n gals! This tune started out as a test, after I had played a riff on my guitar, i wanted to hear what it would sound like with a beat underneath it. Later turned it into a full tune. Cheers!
  12. Hey fellas, Here is the newest song I've finished up, with a little gameplay video to go along with it. The next phase in my quest to capture a fever dream in the form of a tune. Check it out and give me your thoughts!
  13. Hey guys, I recently finished up this new little tune in the style of a retro video game. I'd love to hear any thoughts on it.
  14. The Minish Cap is my favorite game in the Zelda franchise, and I've putting off my favorite song from the game (Minish Village) for quite a while. I finally said, "You know what, I'm gonna do it." So I got around to starting this project. Don't think I'm quite done yet, but I've got the bulk of it done. Most recent version of mix:
  15. I was thinking about Phoenix Wright music the other day so I wanted to just go at one and see what I came up with. I don't plan to add anything to it or do anything else to it but if you have any critiques they would still be appreciated for future reference.
  16. New Mix: "Dust In The Wind (Ephimeral Mix)" Original Song By: Kansas Decided to make an EDM sound like version of this song Hope you like it!
  17. Hey all, First time posting here. I wanted to share a remix I made of Anxious Hearts off the Final Fantasy VII OST. I've been listening to these remixes for years and finally am able to help contribute! You can check it out here: Also made a 'music video' on YouTube which you can find here:
  18. Here is my latest tune. I had posted on here a longggg time ago under the name Gengarrr I think. I have some potential OC remixes in me I think so I decided to join the community again
  19. I am writing original music for a videogame that I am working on with some friends. I have made two tracks so far, the title theme and a boss fight theme. I would love to hear what you all think about it and what I could improve upon. I plan on making more music for the game in the future, when the game idea itself is more developed and mature. I used the Linux MultiMedia Studio to make this.
  20. So, I'm back with my current Project. This Time i recording some individual stuff and i was trying, to bring my ideas in this Remix (then that was the Feedback from the Users on my last Project). I had fun to experiment with alot of Sounds and some new note sequences. But now, I'm interested on your Impressions guys! This Project is "work in progress", so i want to try to refine this Remix, with Feedback from you! Here is the Beta Version of this Remix: If you have some Ideas, critique, Impressions or whatever, so i would be glad if you write me your thoughts in a Post in this Thread ;). Im not completely satisfied with all in this Remix, but i was totally interested to know, what you thinking about this Remix. I hope on a few good Impression from you guys ! Greetings Matzino

It's $.50 (make sure you use the coupon/promo code "foulmsrp" in checkout or else it'll charge you $1.00). Please give it a listen and maybe even buy it! Here's a SoundCloud player:
  23. Hi everyone, this is my first own finished electronic music track on LMMS. I created it as soundtrack for the game I am currently developing (also my first one actually). I hope you like it ! All sorts of feedback are appreciated and don't forget to enjoy the music!
  24. Today is my girlfriend's birthday so I wanted to surprise her with a remix from Kirby, which is one of her favorite franchises. I decided to remix Rock Star which is a mutual favorite of ours and incorporate some genre flavors she's fond of, however it comes with one or two surprises to go along with it - I had a lot of fun working on this one; particularly the occasional dubstep elements. Even if it isn't my most preferred genre it's exciting to chop things up. I hope you guys enjoy it!
  25. I have been working on music since about 2006 I think. Never had anyone teach me or was in band or anything. Just enjoy doing it and did it for years just to listen to myself. I seem to be unable to really purposely make anything of any specific genre. I kind of just do what I wish and something comes out. Anyways what are your opinions on this track? I think it might be too loud (I always worry because my hearing is bad and I don't have any monitors) but another thing, how can I get a cleaner sound? I have included a youtube and a soundcloud link as I know soundcloud has the ability to download and better sound quality. Some people prefer youtube though.
