Black Mage
YES!!! For long years have I awaited BFD remixes, my prayers have finally been answered! I love the game and still play it from time to time, though some parts (like the final alien-boss-thing battle) seem so easy in theory, but caused some of the loudest, longest fits of swearing I've ever spewed. I love the Russian-esqu tango take on the song and feel that it fits well. It takes the Great Mighty Poo from the opera house and *plops* him onto the dance floor. Shadow Wolf
Oh my dear lord God. My fingers want to say something, but my brain can't send the nerve impulses, because they keep being recalled for modification. Okay. Um. Great instrumentation, great, um, music-ness. The Rumba beat is sweet, it's a classy mix. Without vocals. About that. You seem to be singing about poop. Like, from a butt. Shit tends to make less than admirable source material, but I don't think that's what you were going for either. I have to nail you for the mixing on the lyrics, they're hard to understand, and not in front of the mix so they're easier to understand. But the same reflex that tells me to lift my foot when I step on broken glass is informing me that I don't want to understand the lyrics. So I guess it's OK. I do have to say the call and response about where his head's going to get rubbed made me laugh for at least 30 seconds. In summation, I applaud your edginess and creativity, and congratulations on posting the first OC Remix that may be able to inflict actual psychological damage. omg mai brn iz gettn smalr evree t1me i lis10 2 it... gurgle... hurggghh.... Abadoss
Um... is there any chance of a lyricless version? I like the piece, but I've never liked the lyrics...
anosou
Sweet arrangement here, ilp0 knows interesting instrumentation. The accordion is genious together with the vibraphone and guitars. I'm thinking Russian night club. Evolving into Russian car chase Now, the lyrics.. ain't that bad? Come on, the general sound of them is kind of interesting. The actual lyrics are.. not the best and the mixing is not the coolest, but honestly I like the voice in general. And well, listen to the source In any case, ilp0 made another great arrangement and I like him. Instant classic!
Amayirot Akago
Have to agree with the people here; arrangement good, lyrics bad. Overall a good one tho.
Liontamer
All you haters, shaddap about the lyrics. The lyrics are excellent. No hating on the lyrics.
Tensei
Yeah I don't get the whole " OMG LYRICS SUCK". They were awesome in the original, and they're lifted to a whole new level here. Guess you need to have played the game to see the humor in it. Great job overall, going straight to my MP3 player.
Black Mage
All you haters, shaddap about the lyrics. The lyrics are excellent. No hating on the lyrics. I'll second that sentiment.

big giant circles
You guys know ilp0 didn't write the lyrics, right?
Eino Keskitalo
Excellent stuff.. Wonderful vocal tone especially. And the lyrics! The sensitive subject material is treated with dignity and flair. Two thumbs up, up, up up..
Hausdog
I really like what I'm hearing. Your accent is good for a Finn. I especially like the guitar. Good show!
Shadow Wolf
because this song REALLY needs context to be appreciated to its fullest.I know he didn't write the lyrics, they're actually hilarious. It's just the flippant manner in which he's singing about shit that makes it so cringeworthy. I was trying to say something like that last night, but I was kind of in shock and it was late. In other words, I like the lyrics, they make me feel all icky like they were supposed to. After watching the video of how it was used in the game, it's friggin hilarious. This mix will probably join SwinginPorno and Music of My Groin in the OC Valhalla of really awesome awkward mixes. Great work!
Abadoss
You guys know ilp0 didn't write the lyrics, right? Um... is there any chance of a lyricless version? I like the piece, but I've never liked the lyrics... Past tense... well... past-perfect tense... or imperfect... I can't remember... Anyway, the lyrics fit the game and it was hilarous in the game, but I just don't like listening to the lyrics outside of that game. Oh, right. ilp0, I actually do like what you did the music. I'm always very fond of ethnic infusion. I've also been on an accordian high lately, so that's a definite plus. I really like how you treated it. You brought out a lot of the strong qualities in the instrument. Also, nice quote of Caravan.
Stuka
This was a really crafty song. Really well written, and pretty damn funny. 5 stars!
Thin Crust
I think djpretzel's writup was more amusing than this song.
big giant circles
Not to derail the review thread from its intended course (nice work, ilp0, per usual) but I did find Dave's writeup to be one of his top 3.
ProjectSpam
I keep listening to this. Because the instruments are so awesome, and the (transferred) lyrics work so well in this. Also, it's really damn catchy, and ilp0 is an all-star ReMixer. The song gets better and better.
OceansAndrew
Holy shit >_> this is an awesome mix! The lyrics were whatever; I think they kinda sucked, but they were faithful. The singing is really good; very emotive and the harmonies are solid as well. What really sells this mix is the excellent instrument choices, as well as performances, and the arrangement is stellar. The accordion and guitar work very well together, and the playing is excellent. The progression of the song itself is also expertly handled. Very exciting changes and the transitions are great. File this one under "misunderstood classic".
Nobbynob Littlun
Awesome song from ilp0, followed up by an awesome writeup by djpretzel. Now, I have no problem with the lyrics, but I would like a version I could play with my grandmother listening. Knowhutimean?
senseiireland
Would be 100 times better without the lyrics. Great remix of the original song, but the lyrics ensure I'll never be able to share this one with anyone who hasn't played the original game (aka 99.99% of my friends). Mustin
OCR staff, when are you going to get a sort of Parental Advisory sticker to point out that the track you're about to download has 17+ age limits on it? T'would be a good idea..! As for the track? Fun. Love the original, and this is a nice arrangement of it. Love the accordian. -m
OMGitsDarkMatter
Oh shut up, you lyric haters. You can't have a Great Mighty Poo remix without the lyrics for this wonderful song. Anyway, this remix is awesome. I've been waiting so long for some Conker's BFD remixes and I'm so happy to finally have one here at OCR. conker
that was swsome i can't believe it took someone this long to finally do a remix of this song. (or at least for one to get accepted if it had been done) good remix all and all but think it could have used a little longer outr of the final bit that starts at 3:01 would have been really sweet to loop that a couple times. but i like it over all. i hope this song gets a few more remixes - prob the best one from the game
