Navi Posted October 17, 2003 Posted October 17, 2003 Klutz, i cannot remember if i commented on this earlier or not, but let me say that 600 AD has been repeating on my playlist since the day i downloaded it. This is Beautiful piano. Quote
Akai Suisen Posted October 17, 2003 Posted October 17, 2003 Ive been a fan of Klutz's work since I heard the piano version of FFVII-overworld, and I cannot recall a time when he has let us down. 600AD is no different. Amazing as always, I just cant seem to turn it off. Quote
Kaleb.G Posted October 19, 2003 Posted October 19, 2003 I know I bashed "Town Life in Piano" for butchering "Peaceful Days", but this is where I make up for it. I'm highly critical of piano arrangements, and I have to say that this one goes across well with me. Now, it doesn't "rock my socks" or anything, but it's well done. It keeps a good feel of the original AND adds that level of quality arrangement that I look for in piano renditions. So, I admit this was pretty good. Keep it up. If your next mix is even better then this, I will be looking forward to it. -Kaleb.G Quote
VGJunky Posted October 20, 2003 Posted October 20, 2003 There's absolutely amazing skill in this piano solo. I'm going to be spending quite a while trying to learn this song for myself from the sheet music! Great work. Quote
Indigo Posted November 8, 2003 Posted November 8, 2003 I absolutely love this Mix. I never really cared too much for the original song, but this rendition is just beautiful in a really simple way. I love how the tempo changes at 1:45 and you just kind of toy around with the notes, not changing too much, yet just enough to make a marked improvement. Overall a great piano piece. Quote
FarmerBrown Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 Great job, very nice piano, great song for it too. Quote
Xuande Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 I love this one. Its beautiful, and even though its just piano, it is simply excellent. Doesn't matter if you love heavy guitars or anything, this piece is soothing and nice. Quote
Blue_Drac Posted December 7, 2003 Posted December 7, 2003 Excellent as always. The upbeat tempo towards the middle/end of the song is an interesting change. As always, quality kLuTz craftmanship. I'm wondering if he's ever considered applying for Juliard? Quote
Furious George Posted December 14, 2003 Posted December 14, 2003 This remix is absolutely wonderful, and one of my very favorites on the site. A neighbor in my apartment building heard me playing this once (I had it up pretty loud), and actually knocked on my door to ask me what is was, and remarked at how beautiful it was. Damn fine job. Quote
Jess Posted December 22, 2003 Posted December 22, 2003 That was perfect ! I just liked it Good job Quote
sakraycore Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 Judging from the clearness of the piece, I can only say that this is being performed by a professional pianist with an equally fine piano. The difficulty of the piece is great and Klutz handles it well. Well thought of, clean and simple. Matrix'D! (gr10 pianist here) Quote
EvilRyu38 Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 Dear Lord... I usually supremely DISLIKE piano remixes... But this cannot be done any other way and my GOD its perfect. Wonderful, you prove once again that piano people kick ass and take some names. Quote
emai Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 Ahhhh this is beautiful!! I just love it, the sound quality is great and the composition and such and eek! I really dig this. You did some really good work here. Quote
SpikedBladeZero Posted May 12, 2004 Posted May 12, 2004 The end is unique, but it almost goes against the whole tempo of the rest of the track. I love the beginning, it captured not only the melody, but the spirit of the medieval area...i'v eheard other remixes of this track and this is the best one yet. 8.8 / 10 Quote
RoboticNinjaZombie Posted June 19, 2004 Posted June 19, 2004 As my first post, I compliment this piece. Very well done, I enjoy it immensely. Quote
Brim Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 Pure solo piano pieces tend to bore me, but this one is beautiful, plus it is a great song you chose to remix. I can't think of anything negative. Quote
the lone walrus Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 this is the first song on the site I really really liked. It alone was probably worth my computer being on for three days downloading those Bit Torrent files in early june. It is a really great mix, I can't really think of a a way that series of notes could be any better. Simple piano solo is perfect. On a scale of 1 to 10, 7 being the highest, I'd give it a... a 6.5. It does get a little boring if you are thirsty, strangely enough. If I were in a cool swimming pool, or lake, it would be a perfect 7. But I can't type a review in the water. edit: I would also like to say I don't think that kLuTz's other work is that great. Then again, I don't like the original songs that much for the others. But, come to think of it, I did not really appreciate the song from 600 AD very much. But the piano mix is great. Quote
Phil1450 Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 On a scale of 1 to 10, 7 being the highest, I'd give it a... a 6.5. You're an idiot. Quote
the lone walrus Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 On a scale of 1 to 10, 7 being the highest, I'd give it a... a 6.5. You're an idiot. yeah. Well, there is a logic to it. the.. yeah. I have to give that up. Quote
jordex Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 haha thats hilarious i havent heard this remix yet but from what i'm reading, everyone seems to love it, i bet this song will be like djpretzels sunken suite song Quote
DragonFireKai Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 good but not great, I like the song, and the piano is excellent, but there's only so much you can do with a piano by itself. but if you like piano, or CT, download it. Quote
DJ Riott Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 This song is an amazing piano rendition of a tune any avid gamer should know. In fact, I even went and learned two verses from this song on the piano! now all my friends are impressed reminds me of something in the Sims soundtrack. classic. Quote
Even Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 Klutz is the master of the solo piano. There may not be much in terms of innovation from him, but what he does, he does extremely well. Next to DJP's "Love Hurts" Sonic remix, this is my favorite remix on this site. Quote
