Dyne
Ladies and gentlemen, it is my absolute pleasure to give you the 2010 edition of An OverClocked Christmas... AN OVERCLOCKED CHRISTMAS V.4 http://williammichael.net/aocc_2k9/ It's December 20th, and you know what that means! Time to get those tracks rolling in! I can convert wavs to MP3s, so feel free to send wavs, though it's probably just easier to get MP3s. Not really an issue either way. As far as quality goes, please encode at 192, and if you send a wav, it'll be converted to a 192kbps MP3.Also... Anyone needing a time extension, you will have 24 more hours, so if you can have them to me by Tuesday at midnight (12:00am EST/EDT), that would be great, thank you! Well well well, it's that time again! Time to start getting into the swing of things for the Christmas season that is to be! So, without further adieu, and as promised on Radio ThaSauce Live, here is the thread for the AOCCv.4 album! What is An OverClocked Christmas? To begin with, it's an unofficial remix/originals album that's open to any artist on OCR and beyond, and is dedicated to community involvement and the meaning of Christmas. The Details As always, the project is open to anyone. This year, the album is going to focus more closely to video game remixes, to give you an idea, there will be a list of the kinds of tracks that I'm looking for. You will still be able to compose your own original music or remix a classic Christmas track (such as Little Drummer Boy, or O Holy Night, etc.), but this year I'd like to focus on video game tracks that share a kind of wintry/Christmasy vibe. Final wavs will be due Monday, December 20 with the album being released on Thursday, December 23. And this year, unlike the first three albums, the cut off will be Wednesday, December 22. This is so it's easier to finalize the album art, as well as have everything prepared for the web site. Remix Ideas/Things I'd Like to See Courtesy of OCRE, I have a list of ideas for folks to use to get an idea of what kinds of tracks I'm looking for in regards to video game music. I'll definitely take suggestions for more ideas, and if you have anything you'd like to add to this list, feel free to PM me about it that way it's easier for me to see. JH Sounds
I think I may contribute something this year.
Level 99
No idea if I'm able to do it this year or not. I'm a LOT more busy than I was last year. But, are you willing to accept old christmas-y songs that aren't already on one of your christmas albums?
Calum
I would suggest sherbet land from mario kart 64/wii/whatever it was on. I spent hours and hours on end time trailing that level to try and get the world record... it never happened but as it turns out I bloody love the song now! edit: when i say "i would suggest" i mean I WANT TO DO! jabond23
Hi. I'd love to do "Frost Walrus Stage 1" from Mega Man X4 if you'll have me. i think i've got a good arrangement figured out in my head. No metal or rock this time though, well, maybe a little rock. Brandon Strader
You can count me in for several songs, but not quite yet. I'll give OCRE's list a listen too and see what I think of those. i'll likely do a christmas song this year. i just don't know if it'll be a game song or not. probably not, since i pass them to my family.[/quite]PLEASE. Your song blew me away last year. Can't believe it's already been a year. I can still remember your song vividly.

Lampje4life
Gonna see what I can remix this year. Will most likely be VG based.
ocre
You can count me in for several songs, but not quite yet. I'll give OCRE's list a listen too and see what I think of those. To be fair, not everything on that list was my suggestion. The 'doing a listing of VG tunes people want to hear' itself was my suggestion. And people should suggest more songs they want to hear. VG tunes that relate to snow levels, Christmas levels et cetera. I'm most looking forward to winter/Christmas-ized vg tunes that aren't normally very winter/Christmas (as Lukas did with his Uncharted arrangement last year.) Dyne, if you would add Freezeezy Peak from Banjo Kazooie, I think that's pretty damn Christmas-y.
Brandon Strader
Is the musical line-up going to be really strict? So people won't be able to do cover songs... I mean, non-Christmassy cover songs.. hehe.. yeah most of the songs ARE technically cover songs aren't they..
The Coop
So, um... am I allowed to play this year? I can't help but feel some of the first post is directed at me, given my last two submissions
tweex
Dyne, if you would add Freezeezy Peak from Banjo Kazooie, I think that's pretty damn Christmas-y. Good, I'm glad this is being added!!
Dyne
I'm still open to covers on the album. The Coop can definitely play, that would be awesomeness! Also, the focus towards VG mixes isn't strict, so feel free to do what you want to, I'm just looking for more VG than in past years.
sggod89
Hey I'd be down for this.. I could do a cool metalish cover of Frost Walrus Stage
The Coop
I forgot to ask, do you want me to do the cover and back again this year?
Obtuse
Count me in for Sonic 3D Blast "Saturn" Music - Diamond Dust Act 2 Recommend by the OCRE
JH Sounds
Count me in for Sonic 3D Blast "Saturn" Music - Diamond Dust Act 2Recommend by the OCRE I may remix the Genesis version just to counter this.
The Coop
I forgot to ask, do you want me to do the cover and back again this year? Any thoughts? Yes? No? GTFO? Also, I'll be doing either a "Shop"/"Castle" combo, or "Megido" from Phantasy Star III (I'm leaning toward "Megido").
Dyne
I have not looked at this thread in a while, however, tomorrow I will be looking at it very closely. If you haven't claimed a track for yourself, or if you're wondering what you should do, check the first post. I'll be adding in who is doing what, as well as starting work on the update for the web site. I hope this year is just as awesome as last year, and I apologize for not keeping up with this. I've got a lot of work ahead, so keep checking back!
Dyne
I forgot to ask, do you want me to do the cover and back again this year? YES! Please! Instead of triple posting, I'm just going to do a quick update and request thingy here... Anyway, I know I've been rather absent, I apologize, I've just not been myself of late, that said, I'm back and in full effect. Anyone who is doing a track for this album, please PM me via OCR and tell me what track you're doing, or if you're doing an original or whatever, so that I can update the list of artists involved. It'll make it easier to track, and won't be such a headache later on. Beyond that, good luck, do your best, and I hope to have a lot of tracks again this year!
