The Damned
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCEcYg3lNR4&feature=player_embedded OK, yeah, I admit it, it doesn't look that sucky at all. I wasn't expecting much, considering how the lead actor is... but the trailer does make it look good, and even if the Superman movie sucked, the Batman ones were pretty good, so there's an above average pedigree there. Brushfire
I think I got a boner watching that trailer. Also Ryan Reynolds isn't a bad actor.
clover fey
I wonder if the squirrel will make a cameo...
Sindra
A little too much CGI on the costume, but it looks good so far. Kilowog looks great! And there's nothing wrong with a topless Ryan, either.
DarkeSword
HELL YEAH, YA POOZERS!!! Kilowog is my boy.
Lint
I don't generally trust trailers. This looks like the standard superhero trailer post-Batman Begins (or maybe even Spider-Man). Is Hal Jordan doing well so far? I'm not sure if Reynolds is a bad actor or if he's just been in a number of bad movies. Or at least a number of his films haven't been shooting very high. Is he good when he's not in a chick flick or National Lampoon-grade comedy?
djpretzel
I think I got a boner watching that trailer. I remained quite unaroused. Also Ryan Reynolds isn't a bad actor. ... not exactly an endorsement. Looks weak to me, but I'd love to be surprised...
Binarynova
Have to agree with Sindra. Dear Hollywood: Stop wimping out and CGI'ing costumes and hire a freaking tailor. Also, this is a decent trailer, but I'm afraid my opinion of this movie (even though it seems Reynolds will do a good job) will be slightly lower than normal only because it's obvious Hal Jordan should be played by Nathan Fillion:
Flare4War
I don't really like the concept of the Green Lantern compared to some of my favorite comic heroes. He just seems, I don't know.. way too cheesy. I like Ryan Reynolds though. I'm sure I'll watch this but definitely not in theaters. Edit: Also, this is a decent trailer, but I'm afraid my opinion of this movie (even though it seems Reynolds will do a good job) will be slightly lower than normal only because it's obvious Hal Jordan should be played by Nathan Fillion: And this I agree with. The Author
Reynolds is a pretty good actor, he's been given crappy roles and did the best he could with them. I've seen better trailers, but then again, better trailers have lead to worse movies, so this could turn out to be a sweet movie.

BardicKnowledge
I'm a Green Lantern fan -- really hoping that this movie turns out well. Loved the trailer, though the "Brightest Day, Blackest Night" voice at the end seemed out of place considering that we're seeing the origin story... That's the first line of the Green Lantern Oath. I don't like the organic looking suits though...

It felt more like a nod to the recent comic events than anything else since it was just that line spoken.

The fact that he said "IN brightest day, IN blackest night" i think it's just the oath reference.

Nabeel Ansari
I don't suppose John Stewart would be in the movie, would he. When DID he become a green lantern?

Black Mage
I've never read the Green Lantern, but I've always like the theory of the story, so I'll certainly be seeing this one.
The Coop
I don't suppose John Stewart would be in the movie, would he.When DID he become a green lantern? Not until sometime after The Daily Show ended... according to "Earth History Vol. 9" that came out in 2101.
Brandon Strader
He's not as creative as the first Lantern... just saying. I think that was a racist jab that went unnoticed. HOW DARE YOU? *formal complaint* Also I think this movie will probably be awesome in a Van Wilder 4 kind of way.
