DarkeSword
Welcome to our brand new, upgraded forums! After many years, we've made the switch from vBulletin to Invision Power Board. This is a huge deal, as it's going to allow us to finally move forward and do a lot of things we've been planning to do with the site. As with any big changes, there will be some growing pains. You're going to have to get used to how the new forums work and there are probably going to be some things that we might have missed, or functionality that's different and weird. We're all in the same boat here and we're going to try to figure it all out together. Please use this thread for reporting any issues you come across with the new forum software. If there are things you were able to do that you can't do now, those issue reports are of particular use to us right now. While we certainly welcome them, any opinions about aesthetics are probably not going to be high priority for us right now. We want to focus on functionality. One thing you should all do is head over to your Settings page and make sure everything is set to your liking. There are a lot of default settings with this new software that you might want to change, such as notifications and email settings. Forum avatars were also not carried over from the old boards. You're now able upload your own user photo which functions as your avatar across the site. These user photos are subject to the same general guidelines that you have to follow with your sigs, which means nothing inappropriate, i.e. porn, violent, gross, etc. Please also note that any thread subscriptions you had in vBulletin have not been carried over to Invision. If you were relying on thread subscriptions to keep track of certain things like WIP threads, you need to resubscribe. Thanks to everyone for being patient with us while we adapt to the new forums, and a special thanks to our Patreon backers for making this possible. We'll be upgrading again to IPB 4.x sometime this year as well, which means even more new features. Have fun guys! __ Issues we know about that will remain unresolved for the time being: Reverse-Chronological Post Order (newest post first) is not supported out of the box with Invision. Discussions on Invision's site indicate no options available on the per-user level that enables this. We'll keep an eye out for plugins in the future that provide this functionality, but I recommend getting used to first-post-first. Emunator
Making a note here that the Review Threads no longer link back to their respective remix pages, and same with forum profiles linking to artist profiles! Abadoss
Not sure if this on purpose (or in any way vital), but images in signatures no longer accept URLs like mine http://www.abadoss.net/sig/, which would display a random sig of mine each time you loaded the page. Yeah that probably has something to do with your script's mime-type settings or the fact that there's no file extension on that URL. IPB probably looks for specific things when verifying that an image is embeddable. This isn't something we're going to investigate or fix. Up to you to figure that out. timaeus222
Any links to youtube videos *posted as purely links* so far are displaying a youtube embed; should just be listed as a regular link to minimize load times.

noTuX
This was a pleasant surprise to come back to after being gone for a while. Everything looks really nice. Great job on the update, everyone!
Magnetic Ether
On the old forums I used the default thread setting of newest post first, but I can't find a way to change back to this. Is it possible to do so? Otherwise this is looking really good! timaeus222
karashata
I had to convert my usual PNG avatar image to JPEG to fit the forum's file size limit, but other than that I can't see any problems (and that isn't *really* a problem, just something I'm not used to having to worry about these days...) Kenogu Labz
Wow. This is the gentlest reception of 'moved cheese' I have ever seen. Great job, guys! This whole migration's looking like it went really smoothly.
timaeus222
On the old forums I used the default thread setting of newest post first, but I can't find a way to change back to this. Is it possible to do so? Otherwise this is looking really good! Yeah, I can't find it either. It used to be under "User CP > Edit Options"; I don't see what I could do under "Edit Profile". DusK
Looks like there's a little dust left to take care of, but I'm liking it so far.

Chernabogue
ocremix looks like the shizz now lol LOL --- When you're on your profile and roll out the menu (About, Forums, etc.), some options appear over the menu. timaeus222
In more technical terms, the z-index of the dropdown menu happens to be smaller than that of the Overview container. Something in the CSS, I would think.
Supercoolmike
On the old forums I used the default thread setting of newest post first, but I can't find a way to change back to this. Is it possible to do so? Otherwise this is looking really good! ya. Miss that function so much right now.lol. The only potential problem that I can see right now with this change darkesword is that you should let ppl know that they have to re-subscribe/follow any thread that they have followed in the past. I can sense some posts of The recruit and collaborate forums might feel this effect later if no one says anything about it.
Moseph
I can't find any way to change the default for number of posts displayed per page. Also, just saw that in-progress posts that you're writing get auto-saved. Nice!
Chernabogue
Did we just got back 5 years of deleted PM's? So there's no limit to the number of PM's you can send/recieve? Dj Mokram, ad.mixx, A-RoN and 1 other

Emunator
Didn't even think to test this last night, but WOW! The mobile version of the forums is really so much better than it was (i.e. nonexistent!) That seems to be the biggest improvement here by far! Lemonectric
There's a weird problem with dates in searches. The dates for the latest posts shown on the right are often completely wrong, which causes them to be sorted incorrectly (the MK8 thread was really low in these searches despite actually having very recent posts containing the search term). It changes depending on the search location, too. Both of the underlined dates refer to posts that contain the search term -- neither of which was posted by me. The search term also appears later in the thread, so neither of these were the most recent result. It seems to be grabbing the dates of random posts that contain the search term and then attributing them to the last person who posted in the thread (me, on April 25, with a post that does not contain the search term). Also, search terms are still required to have words over three letters...is that something we can fix? It's such a condescending feature. "Trust me, you won't get any useful results if you search for Wii U. You might as well search for the letter A. I'll just stop you from even trying."Overall, though, I'm digging the new digs!
