linkspast
That and you couldn't use bananas to make people actually fall onto other parts of the track. It would always save you and put you back instead of making the person drive back(Like warios stadium in MK64). Yeha I always used the lightning right before a bunch of people had to clear that big gap.....heh heh heh...suckas.
Calpis
Actually, one of the words in GCN's name is all-caps, according to Nintendo. I admit that my corrections were not complete, but I was mainly focusing on the inclusion of Nintendo in the name. However, I don't wish to derail this topic any further, so let's drop it. I was in the wrong with my correction.--- Super Metroid was submitted for ESRB rating, as is Mario Kart 64 (which, agreed, is superior to Double Dash), so it shouldn't be too far down the road. The only thing I really hate about MK64 is the frame-skipping and no music factor when playing 3-4 players. Aside from that, I liked both games equally. Even so, I'd rather have Diddy Kong Racing instead of either of them but I don't see that happening any time soon.
Smoke
VNC games don't get scratched. Go ahead and get it for that reason. VC, not VNC. Although I'd like a VNC client on the Wii. Would be fun to manage one of my servers that way.
KWarp
I walk into toy stores and see massive Wii and DS displays. I can't stop smiling.

I, too, think that Mario Kart 64 is better than Double Dash, especially with multiplayer. However, I feel that Mario Kart DS beats them both. Salad
Still using the standard wrist straps that came with my system. I've had no problems with mine, and probably won't for good time ahead.

Calpis
Yeah, same here. I know how to hold onto a controller, so I'm not worried lol. I broke my Wii strap by giving Wii Bowling I-just-got-a-turkey high fives to everyone. It didn't help that I was very inebriated at the time. SilverStar
Soo, Who has their new wrist straps? I received mine monday and they do look a lot stronger. I got mine sometime early last week. Haven't bothered to give it a whirl yet. Though, I have my old one on my USB drive now.
Penfold
BTW Doulifee got it today. His retailer gave it to him sooner. Cool stuff. Damn, I just realized this is the last game for a while I'm looking forward to for the Wii. Are there any other games in Jan-March that are sounding good so far? Seems like all the games' release dates that I'm really looking forward to are TBA. Maybe they'll release Super Metroid or some other really great games on the VC in the meantime, but I guess at the very least the drought in good Wii games gives me more time with my DS. EDIT: I'm still looking forward to Wii Play, which I preordered already, albeit mainly for the extra controller (the games look entertaining enough when playing with friends and whatnot). Soma
I got my 4 wii straps from nintendo (i only have one controller) haha. They are alot stronger than the old ones, i put one on my DS too. I've been having an issue with my wiimote since launch. Ever now and again i'll turn my system on and then press a button to turn it on, and it won't sync up. and i take the battery cover off and try to resync it and everything. it's only happend about 3 times, and i just ended up waiting til later (or the next day) and it worked. The Damned
It has to do with Bluetooth. Sometimes, it just likes to forget it's supposed to be linked to some hardware.
Razumen
I, too, think that Mario Kart 64 is better than Double Dash, especially with multiplayer. However, I feel that Mario Kart DS beats them both. I haven't played MK64 in awhile, so it's hard to compare against MK:DS, but I really can't stand the steering in Double Dash; It just feels so laggy (Although it's not the steering that's actually laggy, but the camera). It was also stupid that the person in the rear seat didn't have have a rear view of the action to better aim shells and whatnot.
Cecilff2
I didn't mind the steering in Double Dash, but I always used that green shell kart which turns easy. What I didn't like is that even though they don't magic catch up to you like in MK64, they all tend to coordinate against you. Especially in 150 and mirror. You'll be out in front pretty much the entire race and finally hey theres the last 50 ft or so, Blue shell, blue shell, blue shell, you get second! Wish I could connect to the internet round here with the Wii. All the wireless points on campus give me the connection error thats synonymous with you need to change broadcast channels or broadcast type. DrEw.
Mario Kart 64 is completely awful if you go back and play it. I thought it was amazing when i tried it in like 97 or whenever. But then, years later I played the crap out of Double Dash then my friend pulled out MK64 and I gave it ago again... ughhhh. It's just doesn't control right. It almost feels like a mode 7 game where you just slide around on the flat picture.

The Damned
Oh my god.. talk about sensationalistic journalism. Short story: some reporter is saying that kids will download porn on their Wii. I have to wonder how many of these sorts of stories are in some way started or backed by the target system's competition... Throw a few bucks towards a couple of PTAs or groups, and mention how easy it is for kids to do something "bad" on the other guys hardware. Considering some of the shit that went down in the last few year, I wouldn't be surprised if it were true.

KakTheInfected
A little late to the party but I just beat the main story in Elebits. Was anyone else annoyed that some of the later levels just turned into "Grab homing power-up and click as fast as you can"? That aside, the first 10 level or so and all of the boss battles were great. Really shows what the Wiimote is capable of.
Smoke
Picked up Wario Ware today. It's good stuff, and the form intros are hilarious because of the voice used to introduce them, and the text he's saying. Overall style of the game is pretty similar to the previous Wario Ware titles, which is good.
