  2. Progress is being made. I had my own unrealistic expectations on the pace of the mastering, but we're well on our way with that. It's one of the last things left to do. That excitement I had earlier this fall has subsided, but I have a feeling it's on its way back.

  3. Don't know if this counts as an actual game remix, but you never know if the background to the newest Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild Trailer is going to be part of the OST... anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this piano cover I made of it

  4. For sure! You know I'm down. I've been swamped with a lot of projects so I'm catching up with the progress of everything going on in this thread so don't count me out!

  5. Just once, interesting choices for the new instruments, sounds a little like Alone from the Saga Frontier OST. I'll give it a proper listen tonight.

  6. Of course you can join! @TheChargingRhino has given you a pretty good run-down of what we're up to - and yes, you can certainly claim Space Armada. The tracklist is on the first page of the thread, but to save you a click, we have six tracks left open: Title Theme or Great Fox Theme Sargasso Space Zone (or a Boss Theme) Fichina The Awesome Black Hole (with Map Select, hopefully) Space Armada Out of this Dimension Check out the Project Overview if you want to hear source tracks or see where we're at. In the meantime, I'll put you down for Space Armada; let me know if you decide to go with something else. Welcome aboard! It's like PaRappa the Rapper says - you just gotta believe! Thanks for rolling out the welcome mat again, Rhino. This will take some work, as I'll have to copy everything over from the Box, update all the new links on the WIP page, then work out of two accounts every time I have an update. I can do that, but it may take me a couple of days to get to. I will advise when I've got it done. PM me if there's anything specific you'd like to listen to in the meantime and I'll see what can be done. ---- @CrimsonCobalt and @Etzaen has given the OK for their WIPs to be posted! Check them out and let us know what you think!

  7. You were right, Nika! Can't speak for Nika, but I'll welcome you just the same. Nika and I had a small discussion about Space Armada around two days ago. I'll be doing a bonus track of it. No, you won't have competition. Because if your claim is verified, you'll be doing the track for Disc Two. I'll be doing the track for the Bonus Disc. Again, welcome. We are also working on a HUGE Andross collab at the moment. Yes, this means EVERYONE on the project. Including you, if you wish.

  8. Is it too late for me to join. I have an eccentric style and am very passionate about music. I was curious which tracks are left and if any of them would be recommended. I was thinking "Space Armada" myself but I'm open to requests.

  11. Don't feel too bad, I BARELY made the deadline. Some reason I thought it was the 2nd as well. Frantically put mine together at the last minute. Lol

  12. Ack, this ended on Nov. 30th, not Dec. 2nd. Wanted to do something with it - the Super Bomber Man theme that plays throughout the baseline was something I wanted to play around with. I mean, technically I still CAN, but I'm lazy and don't have a drive without a compo to play too. Ah well, I can still vote.

  13. The way I was taught improvisation on the guitar was to first find the key the song is in. Then, practice practice practice the scale of that key until you memorize the notes. After that, jam, noodle around, and experiment with the scale until you find a rhythm or progression you like and sounds good with the melody/harmony/bass/whatever accompaniment you have. Sleep on it, listen again, adjust as needed. Be aware that some songs change key mid-track or even mid-measure sometimes. Your scale will change with any key changes.

  14. Good to see three songs at the end. I was sick in the last days (don't worry it doesn't have anything to do with the low number of entries in the last rounds), so I wasn't able to 'officially' start the voting stage, but of course everyone knows how to vote. For those who don't, here's the announcement. I didn't listen to the songs yet, I will vote tomorrow. If my double vote will result in a tie, the song who gots the most points without my vote will win. Don't know for now, but I will vote first and then check how many votes there are (to not influence my vote). Welcome to the voting stage The mixing stage is over. This round has 3 songs. The following people compete against each other PlanarianHugger Supercoolmike DJ Mokram (If anyone wants a different colour / picture, please reply). For some reason I cannot upload new pictures anymore so I don't do that this time. To vote, do the following: Visit the stated ThaSauce Page and listen to all the entries. Scroll to the form at the bottom of the screen. Fill in the entries from first to third. State a reasoning for it. Participants are encouraged to vote and leave feedback. However, they may not vote for themselve, they only have to fill in the first box, they should leave the third box empty. They get a free first place if they vote, so it helps for the results. Non participants are encouraged to vote to decide the winner and leave comments. The winner of last round, Bundeslang, has a vote that counts twice. Always look in this thread to find out who's the winner of the round after the voting stage instead of only looking at ThaSauce for the results. You have until THIS Friday, December 2nd 12:59 am ThaSauce time to vote. The winner may choose the source tune for PRC337. Check the ThaSauce Page to vote. If anyone have issues voting via ThaSauce you can vote by sending me a PM at Ocremix.

  15. If Jorito and LBC wanted to direct this effort, I will vouch for both of them in terms of musical ability and quality control. I hope they get this ball rolling again.

  17. Interesting bit of trivia: this one track forced OCR to change its standards on length and file size, adopting the current standard we know and love today due to its sheer overwhelming awesomeness. Such is the way things go sometimes, and I don't think a single person is worse off because of it. Except Pretzel's hosts, but whatever. ANYHOO, This is a great arrangement - takes its time and does so in such a way where it doesn't really lose you. The harmonies are rich, and honestly it never falls into the temptation of bringing everything in at once and blasting you, either. I like a good blastin' from time to time, but I appreciate the music that lets you just enjoy it in the background, too. I like it a lot. Do give it your time and attention, this track deserves it.

  18. Sounds a little like a classical guitar arrangement, with the accompaniment and lead playing all at once. The performance could've been cleaner, and the timing could've been better for the melody line, but it's definitely a cool idea you have going there. The tab for it is a nice bonus, I might add.
