  1. I shall rule with a bloodied, tinsel-covered iron fist over all things Christmasy I've enjoyed doing the covers for this project over the last nine years, as well as making a remix for each of the ten albums. When Dyne needed someone else to step in to his producer role about three years ago, I was happy to do it so that the project could continue. And when he said he was ready to step down with the conclusion of AOCC v10, I'd already been helping to run AOCC for nearly three years and saw no reason to not volunteer to help keep it going into its second decade. I'd gotten familiar with how to handle things, Dyne and I have the same overall concept and vision for it, so, it seemed like the right thing to do. With all of that said, I'd like to thank Dyne for letting me take on the art side of things early on, and now, for entrusting his project to me. I'll do my best to not let you folks down. Keep an eye out in July, good people of OCR!

  3. He's asking a very general organizational culture thing; how does a business establish a mindset and workflow to achieve a goal, which is creating something to high quality standards such that it's superior to stuff it competes with. The answer is like... it really depends what kind of company it is. At Impact Soundworks, we don't really have a system or established framework; we just hire people who care a lot about the work we're doing, and so we naturally try to do it as well as possible, and better than everyone else. It's just natural motivation. But that's because we're tiny and our business basically depends on something we release being top dog in whatever kind of novel thing it excels at. Or else... people don't buy it, and that's months of effort wasted. In other words, achieving "superior value" is a survival need.

  4. Ten years of music. I never expected to be involved in this project for ten years. I love that I've had the chance to do this for a full decade. So it is with no regrets that I am stepping back from An OverClocked Christmas and turning the project over to The Coop. While I will still be involved in the website, I will no longer be directing the project. It is my hope that this wonderful project will live on for as long as OverClocked ReMix does. I did not arrive at this decision lightly. But to be honest, I thought it was time to pass the torch. That said, I want to thank everyone who has participated over the years in the project. I especially want to thank The Coop for all of the amazing 8bit art that he's done over the year's, as well as djpretzel for the yearly signal boosts via ReMix posts. I'm so glad to have been part of this project. Thank you all.

  6. So DS394 surprised us early with a claim and an upbeat nu-disco/complextro-ish WIP of "In the Dead of Night". Good stuff happening there!

  9. New build today! This one is huge. Since my last update here in November the game looks better, has way fewer bugs, way more content, more quality of life features and options... it's just way better. So your feedback is greatly appreciated! Play for free!

  10. Yo man, in my arranging of Meteo, check this out - the B section modulates to a Lydian bII key signature. So the tonic moves up a half-step and raises the new 4th scale degree.

  11. May I add that I am actually interested in what you have in mind? Now you've got TheChargingRhino requesting Star Fox analyses, as well, so you have an audience.

  13. Hey everyone, More over posting this out of curiosity on the feedback more than anything. I wouldn't consider myself a pro-level by any means but it's still nice to get some feedback and criticism from people who know their stuff every now and then haha. Anyway, this is a ska/punk/rock/whathaveyou remix of ASGORE from Undertale. It was kinda just a fun personal project I did nearly a year ago and wanted to make an ASGORE remix that wasn't just straight up metal or orchestral and so forth. Hoping the reviews on it give me some more umph to make some jams again since, well, you know how it goes sometimes. (If I need to post at a different upload site just lemme know) Thanks everyone!

  14. Oh, another note - reverb. Adding some sense of space for the horns will help considerably as far as making them more realistic. Considering how dry the live instruments are don't overdo it, but that can help a great deal glaze over the fact that they're samples if you sprinkle just enough reverb onto your brass.

  17. No restrictions. You can do an arrangement that covers several sources as long as it's cohesive and doesn't feel like a medley. My only posted mix that I arranged is of that type!
