  1. I'd like to have a go at the second ingame terran theme. Nekofrog will possibly collab with me, but I can't tell for sure until he comes online.
  2. You could've faked a C&D letter from Square against your post you know.
  3. This is funny because there's a character in Ocarina of Time called Dampe, and he dies too.
  4. If the writing in the romhack is as good as the writing in the C&D letter, nothing of value was lost.
  5. Yup, died a few times, but we managed it in the end (Took me some tries to figure out how to quickly pre-cast lifetap, then chance back to werewolf). Ended up with an Amazon torch which is alright I guess. Fun times.
  6. Just an FYI, episode 12 AGAIN trumps every previous episode in terms of epicness, in my opinion at least.
  7. Well, the original has a completely different feel from this remix (though it's an awesome song nevertheless!), and yes, you should definitely play Chrono Trigger. Not meaning to downplay Tweek's role in this, but the synth is all me. Thanks for the comments, guys, I appreciate every single one of them!
  8. This guy has been awesoming up the wip forum for quite some time already. Great to see this up here at last! Congrats dude, we should totally collab some time
  9. Heh, me and Neko finally got 3 keys of each so we decided to give the mini-ubers a run (first time for us both). Shit was pretty hectic (especially the matron's den), but lifetap, treachery and crushing blow saved the day. Probably going to tackle Uber Tristram tomorrow (or attempt to do so ).
  10. It literally says Oobaakurokkudo Rimikksu. Engrish for Overclocked Remix.
  11. Hi there Artesu! Why do I not see you around Skype anymore? D:

  12. オーバークロックドリミックス Like this?
  13. There's this site called youtube.com, I think your feedback might be more suited to their standards.
  14. Yeah, the arrangement needs to be fixed before even touching on the production issues with this one imo. The drums are a bit too random for my tastes, especially the velocity editing seems to favor the ghost notes over the upbeat/downbeat which makes for..weird drumming. Cut down on the ghost notes and nonsensical fills. The double-time feel at 1:38 is a cool idea and reasonably executed, but could use more of a build-up. Also, are those 32nd notes on that hi-hat? You should just, like, use a quarter note open hi-hat for that part.
  15. Not in 'pro gaming' apparently. If you assign classes you'll be sure you have a balanced team with everybody covering the role in the team that they're best at.
  16. Oh but it is your point. You choose to selectively disregard advice and suggestions about your mix based on whether or not you like it. This is not open-minded, this is arrogant. Never mind the fact that most of the feedback you seem to disagree with comes from actual remixers like me and Rozovian as opposed to wip-forum lurkers (no offense, guys ). "Thank you for saying you like my mix! No, it can't be improved, I like it how it is LAAALAAALAAA I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" <- This is you. Doing some panning will do barely anything to improve this mix when the biggest issue is simply that the arrangement is incredibly bland. You can keep on making excuses involving personal taste, but fact is, this mix does not stand out at all if you compare it to other mixes of the same source with a similar concept.
  17. Don't post your stuff here anymore. It's already perfect, you don't need feedback from low-lifes. You're a musical genius!
  18. Fake Guitars based on free soundfonts WILL always sound horrible. It's not artistic liberty to go and say "To my tastes this sounds good!" when it comes to this. Your dismissal of suggestions for alternatives and improvement from the many people who have posted in this thread is dumb, if not outright rude. You are fooling yourself by claiming the only way you can musically improve is through better samples. Want to know how to make shit sound better for free? Get a better (FREE!) string soundfont, learn to do shit like realistic velocity editing, automating the volume, adding vibrato, working with ADSR envelopes and using the proper articulation for each need (And this is only the strings I'm talking about!). A realistic sound is not achieved by slapping a more expensive sample library on a midi track, but by knowing how to work with the stuff you already have. As for arrangement, again, compare it to like, any remix of this song you can find out there, and you'll see how bland this is in comparison. It's time to wake up and smell the coffee, you have a shitton of things to learn before your arrangement will come anywhere near what I'd call 'good'. Edit: I'd also like to point out that this is a really dumb example in this case, because the Naruto OST has ALWAYS used real guitars and drums. With good reason.
