  1. Necrobat was claimed by Mr. Morse. If it's not funky, the world would probably end.
  2. I think one of the more interesting things I noticed about this song is that two solos / leads were played simultaneously, panned left and right, while the rhythm kept going in the center. It gave it some stand-out character and I really like that uniqueness in production. Keep it up guys!
  3. Ironically enough, it might be possible if there were less projects... naaaah.
  4. Hot damn, one awesome surprise after another. As much as I'd want to contribute I may have to much on my plate. Hopefully we'll also see FF8 somewhere down the road. It is too bad however we're not prioritizing on finishing some of the other projects first (aka SD3).
  5. I decided to check the OCR forums during my Latin class, and saw this thread. Bad idea, cause I shit a brick. Ironically enough, I've been working on some MMX remixes already claimed, but also some that haven't. Love the X series so much. If possible I would like to claim Spike Rosered's stage from MMX5. Oh yeah, whoever claims Blaze Heatnix's stage (if claimed), please do it some hardcore justice.
  6. Awesome! This will be perfect to play for my family as we stuff our faces, together. I'm planning to give 'em all listening to tonight. EDIT: Oh yeah Coop, that cover is freakin' awesome.
  7. FUCK YEAH. Just got home with my new 32GB iTouch. OCR After Dark will be the first thing getting put on there.
  8. These were pretty cool BGC. It's funny, they all seemed like the perfect length for the song itself, but then again I suppose most Christmas songs aren't long to begin with. I also recognized some of the samples / synths you used lol I think I like North Pole the best, it reminds me of Yoshi's Story for some reason...
  9. Man, this is incredible. It seemed to me like there was a bit too much gain on the rhythm, but other than that, awesome. The acoustic guitar with the phaser sounded pretty slick, and the the solo was just beast. Not to mention the "radio tuning" intro which was cleverly done as well. Keep it up, Luiza!
  10. Finally done! I hope more people can continue to get their tracks in today, too.
  11. I think I've told you this before, Joe, but the velocities on the drums should definitely be tweaked lol... If you want I could do the drum programming for you, just let me know. Some more orchestration would be nice too, and possibly a guitar solo. More original material would be nice as well. I'll probably have to listen to this a few more times though.
  12. Makes me wish I would have joined the community as soon as I found it. Happy 10th OCR!
  13. Wow, that was simply awesome. I'm glad you decided to make a well-put-together video for it too, this mix deserves serious eye-candy. I do quite poorly at mash-ups myself, but this flowed so nicely, and the song choices fit perfectly. I'm still biased, though, I love SNSD the most. Genie is incredibly catchy.
  14. Sorry, fixed it. You think I'd be smart enough to test out my own links first...
  15. bump Alright so here's update number two. With this update I pretty much finished the layout of the track and decided how I want it to mainly flow. Right now it's mostly ideas that aren't exactly well formed, but I need other opinions. I even added a a small Chill Penguin cameo, but I'll probably take it out lol...
  16. Two of my favorites: Joshua Morse and Anothony Lofton's Watery Grave. And McVaffe's Crystalline Caverns, of course.
  17. Thanks for the input guys. Yeah, that's just a temporary ending right now, I just wanted what I had to have some sort of finish. And thanks, dummy, for the suggestion of a calmer section and a build-up. Now that I think about it, that's probably a perfect way to continue from what i have now. I should have version two up soon. Oh, and instead of making the lead louder, neblix, I might have something new harmonize it on the left side. The lead I'm using now can get kinda evil when it's above a certain volume.
  18. Man, this month has been crazy, just one great mix being posted after another. I would have liked to hear a little more guitar than just chords, but the strings panned to the left sounded awesome. Keep up the good work, OA.
  19. I just started this pretty recently and it didn't at all turn out how I first wanted it to. I originally wanted it to be somewhat new age-ish, but then I started adding the percussion and well... it turned into more of a dance track. Still, I'm quite happy how it's turned out so far. Only problem is I burned out my ideas kinda fast. If anyone has any arrangement ideas or overall advice for the progression of this mix (that doesn't including mixing or mastering) then please help me out . Update 2 Source
  20. How would you go about responding to this? :/
  21. Fuck man, I don't even know what to say. I just gotta lay down... let it soak in for a week...
  22. I might as well claim it now while no one's picked it yet. Sign me up for "Snowman" from Mother 3.
