zebralette is a relative of zebra2 and its free. it has some pretty onconventional sounds, but seems like a pretty solid synth, to me at least. i use it in most songs ive worked on since i got it.

I'm really glad this thread exists.Personally I feel like as musicians, we are pretty lucky to have OCR as a resource for finding projects to work on ( and the advertisment of being posted). You have to start somewhere, and for someone such as myself who is just starting out, finding projects,free or paid, seems like a really daunting task.

they also make an 88 key one with weighted keys, which while its 500 something dollars, it seems to be a pretty decent keyboard. and like flexstyle said, the mpk line is built like a tank and has pretty much any feature you could possibly want, except maybe automap

I wanted a name that was not too ridiculous but wouldnt get lost on google. when i picked it I was thinking of final fantasy related things and thought id smash esper from ff6, together with laguna loires break limit "desperado". Thus i came up with esperado. seemed like a clever play on the two at the time.however, i didnt google it first and in spanish its apparently the "Masculine singular past participle of esperar" which is spanish for " to hope" or "to wait" . so i guess i masculinely expected things all the time... in spanish.

i do have absynth, i might be the older version of it, but still absynth nontheless, ive only used it in that ff12 mix i made for a PRC a while back. Is it generally nice for spacy pad sounds? youre talking about the crash that hits numerous times around 0:37? hmmmm would it be better to change the sample, or use a synth instead? i can experiment with a few things. better read up on countermelodies i guess! I'm really bad at genre classification. for some reason it made me think of disco. no real reason for it. any good examples of how to give it more direction ? any parts I should change entirely?

Ok so its not really traditional disco, and im not entirely sure what the genre of this is, but it makes me think of disco. so feel free to inform me where this fits genrewise!
