I'm curious about what new measures you plan on taking. Are you planning to alter the submission process a bit or alter the amount of votes for songs to be approved/rejected? EDIT: Also, as a somewhat related note @sambarugh. Evaluating stuff takes time, and even if the comparison may seem ridiculous, just look at how much time it takes academic research papers to get published. It's obviously not the same, but it shows that even when people are being paid, it's hard to coordinate a judging/publishing system! EDIT 2: It seems djp messed up and made a thread public that shouldn't be public in the judges forum? It's even stickied haha.

I love the sound of the clean guitar at the intro, it goes along nicely with the piano. It gets a bit too messy when more instruments enter though, it feels like they are competing for the spotlight. It's hard to appreciate the guitar playing the main melody since it's almost the same notes that the piano and the other guitar are playing. It sounds a lot better when you switch to the distorted guitar, finally stands out! I love the mood of this remix, a very fresh take at this song! I think that with some mixing polish this one could be incredible.

I think I like every remix you make and this is no exception. The chord progressions are great, drums are awesome and I love how you sampled the synth thing from the game. Just amazing!

Why is the piano panned hard left? It's also very quiet in volume. The arrangement is cool, I like the 3/4. There are some parts where the bass note sounds wrong though, but I'm not sure if that's how you arranged it or if that was a mistake. It sounds very promising, but I can't really get a good feel of it with everything being panned hard left... Only criticism I'd have is that the arrangement is too homogeneous. You're doing a solo piano piece! Emphazise the stronger sections, speed up or slow down every once in a while! It sounds static.

I agree with Master Mi, the rhytm guitar is quiet, and in this style of music it has to sound powerful! The snare could use more brightness, it doesn't stand out too much. Playing is nice, and the arrangement is straightforward but good!

Hahaha Baby Yoshi would be awesome. Imagine three of them stacked on top of each other trying to drive a car, it'd the cutest and most awesome member of the roster.

Yeah, the NSMBU "killer" (it still sold quite a bit) was NSMB2 because it made NSMBU feel a lot less special and it was also not received very well, which built some bitterness towards the NSMB brand. NSMBU was actually very good and introduced new stuff, but I can't believe they recycled the world themes, the music and the art style. I hope that after Super Mario 3D World and Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, the NSMB team feels challenged to do something new and interesting.

Last "trailer" was just a tech demo. They said Zelda would have a different art style and this trailer looks better than the tech demo to some people. I wouldn't call it a downgrade, I think it looks very very good.

I guess it'd be better with a set time, I don't believe there are too many of us playing haha.

My favorite tracks are Mt. Wario and Dolphin Shoals. Both are beautiful stages. For online racing, Mario Circuit is surprisingly fun (all dat boosting) and Rainbow Road is kind of cool too, very challenging. Retro tracks are cool too, I love Toad's Turnpike and Tick Tock Clock in particular.

I expect them to allow GCN controllers for a few games. HD remakes of GCN remakes are also very obvious with that. I'm hyped lol.

Sorry if you've talked about this but do you know if it's possible to do velocity envelopes for MIDI items? Or anything similar... A volume envelope won't work for what I'm trying to do btw.
