  1. Now that's a "bow chicka wow wow" face if I ever saw one.
  2. Wound up having to work most of the day and was too exhausted afterward to go anywhere. Oh well.
  3. Oh god, no. He's great. I was just saying that if anyone lowered the standards of "what constitutes as music" it was Nirvana and MC Hammer, not Creed and Limp Bizkit. Tremonti is a great guitarist. My only issue with Creed is that Stapp's voice kind of bothers me.
  4. Ever see Bangkok Dangerous? (The original, not the crappy American remake.) It worked pretty well for that movie. Dialogue is great when used well, but it's not always necessary to tell the story. I really dislike writers who feel the need to have their characters explain every little thing to the audience, because apparently it's the only way anyone will know what's going on. WALL-E didn't need to do that, and it's a friggin' kids' movie.
  5. I'm going to go a little farther back and blame Nirvana and MC Hammer for that. Before them, even the most generic of pop and radio rock still required you to be somewhat proficient with an instrument.
  6. Never had a chance to get into comics, but since a lot of the role-playing stores I frequent also double as comic stores, I might stop buy and see what I can pick up.
  7. I'm apprehensive about this. It would be cool if they get it right, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time HD Remix. Now THAT would be awesome (if only for the epically long title).
  8. I've always felt that if Metroid were to be done right, it would have to be something really unique and artsy to pull off the feeling of isolation necessary to capture the vibe of the game. I've always pictured it highly visual, and almost entirely devoid of dialog. Kinda maybe like a darker, more grownup version of the first half of WALL-E.
  9. Holy #@$%. I'm not even going to try to analyze this one. I am too in awe. Best rock remix since Passing of the Blue Crown (imo of course)
  10. While I wouldn't really call myself a fan of either, I fully endorse this post. Also, I want to start a Scandinavian Nu-Metal Vegetarian Progressive Grindcore band now.
  11. Obi-Wan was one of the only consistently good things about the prequels.
  12. "You're going to love my nuts." Truly epic.
  13. Cool. That's what I needed to know. I was afraid it was going to be in some weird format exclusive to those programs.
  14. I only bring it up as a warning. Ecco looks like he's about to prison rape you.
  15. MD is kind of far away for me, but I listened to some of the recordings on the website and they're really good. Best of luck to you. EDIT: Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Excellent.
  16. I know it's not listed, but will I be able to get this to work with Reason?
  17. Gotcha. I generally ignore the expanded universe stuff, unless it's something specifically Lucas-supervised like the Clone Wars show or The Force Unleashed. I'll accept the games depending on whether I like them or not . Back when I was a kid, I'd read the EU novels religiously, but after a while I realized that most of them sucked, which kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. That's just me though. Sometimes I don't even want to consider the prequel movies canon.
  18. I can just picture Young Link opening up to a big treasure chest and... *dadaladadadaladadadalada* (leans in) *BAH BAH BAH BAHHHHHHH* You got... a rock?!
  19. Apparently, a male dolphin's ejaculation at point blank can snap a man's neck. I've also heard that out of the water, the sheer force can actually decapitate you.
  20. Electronics would not have accepted it, but the Deli might have.
  21. Sweet. That would be very much appreciated. It's a Compaq Presario 2100. I think I already upgrade the RAM once, with a 512mb stick, but I don't remember (it was a long time ago).
  22. Um... where exactly are you getting all this info? It's interesting, but is it cannon?
  23. After having worked there for about a year, I can get behind this statement fully. Having to wait for your stuff to ship from an online retailer, driving an extra 15 minutes to a different store, or even paying extra money is a small price to pay for the peace of mind you can get from knowing that you're not financially supporting the corporate manifestation of Lucifer.
  24. I will graciously concede to pretty much everything The Coop said. The music in particular was great. I'll even admit that it's actually pretty fun to go through co-op mode with a friend (at least the first time around). I'll even go against popular opinion and say that I thought the pistol in the first one was great. Starting players a weapon that puts them on equal footing with the bigger guns is brilliant weapon balance decision IMO. It makes weapon selection a matter of preference instead of race to get the biggest guns... well, it would have, if it weren't from the sniper rifle and the rocket launcher (which were what really ruined the game for me). My biggest problem with it, as many other have said before me, was all the OMFGHALOROX that permeated seemingly every college dorm and youth gathering in spite of the sheer averageness of the story (Starship Troopers with a pseudo-death star and some prophecy bullcrap thrown in), gameplay, map, and art design, as well as, almost no features to distinguish itself from other, better FPSes. It wasn't even until the sequel that you could pick your own skin. You've obviously never gone to see Video Games Live.
  25. I used to work there. Wal-Mart's return policy is extremely loose, which is nice for the customer most of the time, but can lead to this sort of thing happening from time to time. Depending on the store manager, and the employees working at the customer service desk and in electronics, they'll sometimes even just reshelf returned items and try to self them again. Of course, if they are the kindof people who do this kind of thing, it probably shouldn't be too much of a surprise that they wouldn't check the contents of the returned box. Heck, maybe they did check the contents, and went home with a free DSi, if you get my drift. Wal-Mart is quite possibly one of the easiest stores to steal from and get away with it.
