  1. I should have something for ya pretty soon, babycakes. Took a bit of a different direction, should be more along the lines of what you imagined.
  2. Which, amazingly, no one's mentioned. Did that really just happen? Yes, yes it did.
  3. I'll rename the second section 'Album Exclusive' for clarity. Added
  4. Just updated the list with links n junk.
  5. Thanks for all the replies. Since I figure others have probably wondered how many rap remixes are on the site, I'll compile the list in this post for all to reference. The list can even expand into any rap remix from any site or individual. Feel free to post links to any VG rap you find, or just comments/corrections to this list. * not predominately rap OC ReMixes (chronological) Team Gato * Niggaz 4 Life Knuckles' Unknown From M.C. I Got the Space Beam Invertebrate Retreat * Memories Frozen In Time Da Black Market Lover Reef * (very short section) Smooth Delivery Oil Ocean (WT-40 Mix) Keep Out the Veldt No Hope * Link to the Mask * Rhymes With Elixer Trapped in the Minds OCR Album Exclusives Spittin' Narcissism Other STFU (Star Salzman) Stone, Paper, Scissors (Ralph Vickers, The Grand Robot Master Remix Battle: Revenge Round 1)
  6. Definitely enjoyed this. Pixie killed it on vocals! I thought it was some professional stock when I first heard it
  7. I've been listening to this one for a while, and was surprised to see it actually submitted after so long. Quinn's old stuff still pwns, and this has always deserved a spot on OCR, so it's welcome.
  8. 5 is actually my favorite soundtrack, but 10 is nothing like it in tone. 10 is really like nothing before it, I think.
  9. WIP'd dee do da day: http://www.kngi.org/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=750
  10. Damn, DJP. This is definitely top 3 stuff for you. I don't have to go back through all 1000 of your other tracks to confirm that (don't feel bad for taking a year off). Like LazarCotoron, I also love that I can instantly recognize your work...good stuff, man.
  11. I was idly listening to Rainwave when I heard this track come on. It immediately caught me ear as pretty well produced, so I took a glance over at the playlist...and saw David Wise...and then Grant Kirkhope...and then Robert Beanland! (admititdly, I didn't really know who Robert was, but 2 out of three aint bad ) Having just read the writeup for OCR1999 earlier, I immediately knew this had to be the 2000th mix - there was no question. There was no way it could be anything less epic. Amazing effort, and I look forward to the rest of the album. Congratz, OCR community and DJP, for many years well-done!
  12. The hook made me smile XD Rhymes couldn've been more dope though, like djp said. What's up with all the joke rap, anyway? Granted, a gansta/club track almost HAS to be made with humor, given the audience here and the poser-tasticness of the genre in general. But we need more Bronx Rican-esque efforts in the genre, methinks. I swear imma be the first to get a real emcee up in here . Wait for it... Having said all that, I enjoyed this. To the dude wondering how this was taken serious...I think you need to take things a little LESS serious. Seriously. For serious, man. This site is a bunch of video game fans making music and having fun, not a bunch of Uematsu's with orchestras behind em. It's ok man, really
  13. Haven't had a chance to play this yet, but I listened to the whole soundtrack. Personally, I think it's the best MM soundtrack to date. They must have been listening to some Virt and Zabutom in the off season, and realized what they could really do with some chips! Blade Man rapes the entire series. Rapes.
  14. I, like others, also didn't know of LeeBro's success in the industry, so belated congrats to him. I'm glad they eased off the vocoder for this remix, though. Another solid vocal effort for OCR, this is.
  15. Long time no talk, Mono! First, I'd like to say I'm kinda flattered that you'd still think to hit me up about this, seeing as how I haven't really been active on the forums lately. That's because I haven't really had much free time, but that changed a bit just recently. Having said that I'd love to do Underworld from DQ1, if it hasn't been snagged. If not that, then I'll take on Castle from DQ3, but I really want Underworld
  16. I think OA said it best - this is so very charming. The live warm sound and background chatter ("another pint of amsterdamn...") fit so well. Gems like these make the world go round.
  17. When I saw Chaotix on the block, I was hoping for something other than 'Door Into Summer,' simply because there's already a mix there for it (although an old one). Chaotix, while a crappy game, has some amazing tracks and definitely needs some attention on OCR. I always love the chiptune-y stuff, so I'm digging this. Thanks Will, for a good mix and some Chaotix love.
  18. It's definitely not up to 2009 standards at this point, but I somehow found myself craving this mix out of no where. It's part of OCR history as an early CT remix, methinks.
  19. To all the people harping about the Magus theme: I too was a bit thrown off at first, but I didn't have to go back to the source to remember that the melody did indeed start out like that for the Ghost Train theme. The notes at the tail end of the source are a bit different, and the rest of the notes deviate even more as the source goes on, but it definitely sounds like Magus for the first 3 seconds. It seems like Orichalon went full Magus, though, for the first section. Either he did the melody from memory, or did that on purpose. It's very likely that they used the beginning of this source as inspiration for Magus. It makes sense, him being the ghoulish type and all. At the end of the day, it's a good remix - and that's all that matters!
  20. I love how the drums at the end mimic machine gun fire and explosions to complement the screaming. Pretty creative, and a nicely executed track all together.
