Overflow Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 8O8O8O I'm not sure if my mind has ever been blown so badly, or ever will be again. Have you guys found anything super-mind-blowing before? Quote
Darklink42 Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I liked this: Which was in the related movies. Mind=blown Twice Quote
Sindra Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 O.O Holy shit. My friend does reviews of the Famicom system and has never mentioned this! Dude. Quote
prophetik music Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 i don't get it, OP. what's so cool about it? Quote
Skyline Drop Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 This is definitely one of the most obscure Easter eggs I've ever seen... Quote
Moseph Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 This is pretty obscure and I can't find anything on the web that demonstrates it, but ... If anyone remembers the PC game Creatures 2, there's an animal called a Doozer that makes a squawking sound when you click on it. The sound is a backward, sped-up clip of a crowd yelling "Hell no, we won't go." Quote
Sag Ee Mana Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Wow thanks a lot for those easter eggs, you made my d... night Quote
ambinate Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I liked this: Which was in the related movies. Mind=blown Twice god i hate videos where the text scrolls so fucking slowly i hate it i HATE ITTTTTTTTcool find tho Quote
Zergonaleash Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I was kinda pissed off at first when I didn't hear anything, then I realized that youtube was muted =/ that was pretty sweet, I can't even begin to think of what would make someone decide to speed of that background noise just to see what would happen, but good on 'em. edit: Fuck that scrolling text on the second video, too. EC2151 Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I've seen this before, but I had always thought that the GC menu theme was seriously creepy. Much like how a lot of songs in the original Smash Bros were pretty creepy. Also, Yoshi's Island's ties to the USSR Quote
Tables Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Oh damn, I'm pretty impressed by that Gamecube thing. Like holy fuck. Quote
The Mutericator Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Obligatory link to Totaka's Song: And the wiki link listing the games it's in: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kazumi_Totaka Quote
JadeAuto Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 There's nothing like re-using music that's already composed. Tempo changes! Quote
Overflow Posted July 23, 2010 Author Posted July 23, 2010 Lol, I always loved Totaka's song. Fun little tune. I used to sometimes put that gamecube menu on and just chill out to the ambient tune. Who knew it actually was something? Nintendo really likes their secrets. Quote
Zergonaleash Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I'm not totally sold on that soviet thing... Quote
Kureejii Lea Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Lol, I always loved Totaka's song. Fun little tune. I always found it kinda creepy... Quote
Less Ashamed Of Self Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Very cool. The Yoshi's USSR is more than a bit of a stretch though. Quote
Chernabogue Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 The Totaka thing is just creepy. How did they find it in all these games? Just insane... Quote
Monobrow Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Super Mario RPG uses a lot of MM2 and MM3 chord progressions... (as well as some of the more obvious motifs)... Quote
WindStrike Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 This is something I've noticed a few years ago. If there's a remix that plays a theme I should know at about half the speed or less, I won't recognize it. Heck, not even remixes. Know the Ocarina of Time title theme when the ocarina (or whatever it is) kicks in? That's the whistle theme you hear in the original LoZ when you blow the whistle to carry you off to a different level. Quote
SynthesizedStampede Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Original link blew my mind as well. Nice find. Totaka's song is pretty crazy in terms of the methods they had to do to find the songs. Quote
JCvgluvr Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Peach's song and Totaka's song both blew my mind. Quite interesting, I must say. Quote

Hemophiliac Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 It's the same theme in Super Mario Bros. 3 as well. They also used it in the Legend of Zelda cartoon series, when they play the magic flute to summon the tornado to take them away...it plays the SMB3 flute tune. Quote
