DarkeSword Posted August 4, 2013 Author Posted August 4, 2013 Just a quick note: you are not required to make your Stardroid source selection publicly, nor are you required to declare who is remixing for your team this week. Also of note: the remixing order for your team does not have to be the same as Block 1. Quote
Magnetic Ether Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Just a quick note: you are not required to make your Stardroid source selection publicly, nor are you required to declare who is remixing for your team this week. So no-one will know which team member did the remixing? Or do we have to declare it when we submit? Quote
DarkeSword Posted August 4, 2013 Author Posted August 4, 2013 You declare it when you submit. Submissions rules are all the same, you still have to put the artist information and all of that. I'm just saying that I don't need anyone to pop in and say "I'm remixing this week" because I don't actually keep track of any of that while the round is progressing. Quote
Ethan Rex Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Now THIS is a twist I can get behind something something uranus joke Quote
SuperiorX Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Is everyone this block going to get to remix a Stardroid, or are the Stardroids only this round and the theme will change again next round? Just curious! And thanks for all the kind words on my mix last week everyone! I'm glad everyone liked it! I'm really happy to have gotten the first place vote! Quote
DarkeSword Posted August 4, 2013 Author Posted August 4, 2013 Stardroids are this week only. Next week will be something else. Quote

Lemonectric Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Junk Man + Uranus might be even worse At least no one has Hard Man this WCRG. Just get the Hard Men to do a three-way collaboration on Uranus. Quote

DarkeSword Posted August 5, 2013 Author Posted August 5, 2013 Music is up. Feel free to grab the tunes. Let's try to do a listening party tomorrow in #wcrg. Maybe 9 or 9:15PM? Quote
DarkeSword Posted August 5, 2013 Author Posted August 5, 2013 Lately there've been a lot of questions from a number of teams about team members being able to pick up the slack for their primary artist. Moving forward in the competition, I'd like to relax the restrictions a little bit. While there should still be a primary artist who is conceptualizing the arrangement and doing most of the work (sequencing/performance/production/etc.), if certain circumstances come up that require team members to step in in order to deliver a finished piece, that's fine. Brandon Strader Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 FUN STUFF!!!! Fun fact #2: The voice clip at the end (Two more rounds, no wincing, no whining!) was Nicolas Cage in the movie Kick-Ass, when he is shooting Hit Girl at the beginning. Quote
Jivemaster Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Fun fact #3: F U and F Disney was removed from the pre-chorus due to censorship concerns. Quote
Brandon Strader Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Fun fact #3: F U and F Disney was removed from the pre-chorus due to censorship concerns. This is actually true. The original lyric was "Fuck you and fuck Disney" instead of "The truth will set you free" Quote
shadow24 Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Hmmm, I think Centaur Man would sound pretty snazzy with Jupiter. Too bad nobody got him Quote
Troyificus Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Aaaaah, back in the days when Pluto was still considered a planet Quote
