Inimitable Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 To whoever was wondering it Charizard's recovery would be a flying move, well...
TheCatPhysician Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 http://mojo.rick-gardiner.com/index.html super smash bros. mojo edit oh wait it's old isnt it
Strike911 Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 SOoooOOooOOO COOL! You can control the angle of descent and back up, that is awesome!
eternal Zero Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Now this will shake up gameplay quite a bit. I really hope it makes those characters very good in the sense that it takes a good amount of control to get the most out of them.
Jam Stunna Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Hm. More than adding to the characters who can glide now, I see this taking away from Peach. Her float-canceling in Melee made her pretty unique, but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. EDIT- This is all moot if you have to fall as you glide, though.
Strike911 Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Okay, the first time I saw glide on the Smash Bros site I immediately thought of Knuckles the Echidna.... okay n/m... been playing too much Sonic & Knuckles... /offtopic Cool move though. A swoop like that would be real cool. I wonder if any items like a set of wings will show up that will let you do large gliding swoops with any of the other characters. (Maybe the wing cap from mario 64?) I mean, hey, they put the screw attack item in that affects what kind jump you can make, why not something to let other chars glide too. It looks like a lot of fun using that ability!
Neo Samus Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 That's interesting. It adds a new strategy element to the mix.
Sir_NutS Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 now that I think about it, it should work like SMW's cape. As you glide, if you point up you will gain height but eventually lose speed and start to lose horizontal ground, if you point down you can gain speed but will go down faster as well, so it would be kind of a balance there. Can't wait to try it out. BTW, I can bet my life now that little mac will be on the game now (I mean, even the simcity guy is in there) the question is wether he'll appear as a playable character or an assist trophy.
Dunther Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 now that I think about it, it should work like SMW's cape. Maybe even Mario can do this with his cape?
eternal Zero Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 If Mario gets the capability to glide he should have to do it old school with his cape and everything and have to alternate up and down to catch the air in his cape.
Bigfoot Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Maybe the feather will just be an item in the game for everyone to use(like the screw attack). That'd be funny to see Bowser using a cape to glide back onto the stage.
Dunther Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Maybe the feather will just be an item in the game for everyone to use(like the screw attack). That'd be funny to see Bowser using a cape to glide back onto the stage. Yeah...great idea...
Tenucha Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 I havn't seen the Feather mentioned... just that winged characters can glide now. Wouldn't Mario's cape from SMW be annoying if you're trying to glide back on it and adjusting the up/down to catch air? I think they should include the Tanooki Suit for Mario and Luigi
AMT Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 Holy crap, A Wario Ware stage? Pure unadulterated win.
JackKieser Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 Wow... I almost don't know what to say. ...Oh, never mind, I figured it out. What in the great blue fuck are these people smoking?? I mean, it looks, awesome and fun, to say the least... but really. Damn. --Jack Kieser
Inimitable Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 Pure unadulterated win is RIGHT. Yet another stage for tourney junkies to complain about.
Strike911 Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 Exactly what I was hoping to see in a Wario level!!!!!! ... I wonder if the 'mini-game levels' speed up over time like in WarioWare.
Mastertoku Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 Bloody brilliant. I'm liking how all the new stages are so whimsical!... ...although, that 'platform' stage is starting to get old... We need some weird-shaped ones. Like Corneria in Melee.
friendlyHunter Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 AAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!! I love it! I wonder what this "reward" could be...? Avoiding damage (while those who lose the minigame get hurt)? Getting healed? Bragging rights? The developers probably don't think that "weird shaped levels" fit Brawl's play style... but it'd still be nice to see a few levels with walls and stuff in there.
!Nekko! Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 I digg it. I just wonder how the transitions work. It looks like you can fall off the sides while in the elevator, but not if a full, flat stage shows up.

JoeFu Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 Level looks awesome. I mean WarioWare and SSB in one game? YES!!!!!
Sir_NutS Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 for some shitty reason the update isn't showing to me in the english page, I had to switch to the japanese page to see it. The level looks awesomely insane.
