Platinus
Oooo...Its so good. Its even better when its on repeat. It just blends with itself. It feels as if there is no end in sight that way. Absolutely wonderful. I want to open a massage parlor...or a zen garden. Both are cool. One of the best things ive heard from this side of reality. Just whisks you away. Petara
Always wanted to write a review for this one (first heard it back in 02), but never got around to joining the forums until very recently. I'm sorta speechless, however, when it comes to this remix. After I first listened to it, all I could say was, "Wow." But now, think I can eek out a bit more of a descriptive word than "Wow." Heavenly... Yeah, that about sums it up. Also, I about crapped my pants from the overdose of nostalgia of such a great original piece of music. This remains one of my favs up there with Green Amnesia and Pachelbel's Ganon. BTW, I miss AmIEvil.
Gate Jumper
MMMMMMMMM.............. reminds me of caramilk. Chocolate outside and chewey-goooooooeeeeeeey inside this mix is YUM!
Zera
Ooh...another wonderful remix of some of my favorite songs. Though not normally a fan of background noise, I do believe the sound of rain fits in very well, and the opening brings me back to the very first time I stepped out of the Temple of Time as Adult Link to find the ruin that was Hyrule. Excellent work, I really hope to see more of your remixes!
meccaneer
Waaaay too short, especially for an ambient track. With all the changes going on it really needs to be about twice as long. The reverbed woodblock thing is perfect; plenty of contrast. All the overlapping plinks and plunks really work.
Robotaki
Nice, this is a godd ambient song. But all the peaceful atmosphere created in the whole 2:24 minutes of the song were just destroyed by the ending. This is overexaggerating, but a good ending would have helped a lot. Hum4n After All
Just what I needed to hear. Since it rained last night. Was beautiful with the rain. Good form.
WillRock
This is awesome, but its a little short. (replays )
Lucentas
I totally dig the ambient water sounds, this is a very relaxing and atmospheric piece.
a_d
This does an excellent job of submersing the listener into an atmospheric soundscape. Definitely has a different spirit than the source tune (the guy cranking his music box in the windmill with a carnival feel)
Diehard Trojan Von Nut
do i hear nocturne of shadow faintly?
OceansAndrew
I love how most of AmIEviL's early tracks all included his name in the mix title. Definitely lets people know in no uncertain terms who made the track. This track specifically doesn't sound especially evil though; i'd say more pensive and reflective, though the length is way short for a medley. The sounds are good, and I dig the rainsounds, but i needz moar progression! Definitely a good looped track, it's way relaxing, but falls a bit short of it's potential. tzvibish
I must say, this has got some very interesting rhythmic oddities without there even being any percussion. Towards the end, where the Song of Storms is played, AmIEvil makes a pretty ballsy decision to stick to the 4/4 ambient relaxation instead of going to the very obvious and forthright 3/4 waltz that the Song Of Storms really is. I mean, that song epitomizes "waltz". It's about as un-subtle of a 3/4 as you're going to get. Bravo for pulling that off and sounding good doing it! a_d
Please, sir, can I have some more?
Sarad_Thamia
Song of Storms is my fav Ocarina song and this remix does it justice. My only complaint is that it is so short for such and awesome song. I actually managed to use my Windows Movie Maker to lengthen it a bit by looping a section of the song. This is one of the most peaceful, relaxing songs that I have in my collection. I think I am going to go listen to it now.
lonewalker
I had visited this site a long long time ago, maybe 8 years ago, give or take a year...and downloaded everything AmIEvil had created at that time, and loved every song this artist had created. I was so glad to see that AmIEvil was still on this website because my only copy of his (or her?) songs was destroyed. This is my absolute favorite song by AmIEvil and I definitely agree that it is way too short, I really wanted to more...and I honestly thought I remembered there being more. Still this song was a song I remembered about to this day, and was able to track it down to download it again. (The only thing that stopped me before was remembering the artist or where I got it from until I just remembered now). However, I was very shocked and disappointed that the only new song for this artist was the Super Mario 3 song...I just wish AmIEvil would make more Zelda songs, because this one was just that great! djcrono_
Interesting mix. Wish it was longer.
DarkSim
Holy shit... I'm confused. Am I playing Zelda or Oblivion here?! Seriously, I could be walking the hills of Cyrodiil here - the plucked strings especially evoke memories of Oblivion, as does the ambient style and overall instrumentation. It's just crazy to me that with such a strong familiarity with the Zelda tunes I get more recollection of playing Oblivion when I listen to this than I do Zelda. That's not a bad thing at all though - especially since this ReMix came out long before Oblivion did. Also: needs to be longer, what's that for an ending?, blablabla
dANGER boy
One of my favorite Zelda64 ReMixes and definitely one of the best out there. Ambient, soothing, perfect.
Crulex
Actually pretty good for a short ambient piece. SFX of rain in the back was a great addition for this type of arrangement. The themes come in just enough to give you that melody and nostalgia, but other than that, it's light and airy, which is nice. Only real complaints here is that it's short and the abrupt ending. I just don't like quick endings like that. Other than that, one of the better AmIEvil ReMixes, I'd say.
TheCD1
Still a lovely tranquil well-produced track that I enjoy falling asleep to (in a good way!). Agreed about the abrupt ending, but solid on repeat!
