zircon Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Hey guys, I wanted to announce that my new album "Antigravity" is officially released today! You can listen to previews and order it by clicking here. All album design (and my sig) courtesy of Cyan_Ide The album is over 50 minutes of electronic music in various genres, from breakbeat, to big beat, dnb, trance, and more. It's definitely a step up from Impulse Prime so if you liked that one (or any of my remixes) you will definitely like this. It also features several OCReMixers on various tracks; pixietricks, Fishy, GeoffreyTaucer, and big giant circles. Cyan_Ide designed the art and is designing a new website for me too. I've put nearly 2 years of effort into this project and really weeded out a lot of tracks that were not up to par, so I'm very proud of the final product. You can also pick the album up on iTunes! If you want CD quality WAVs and no DRM, you can pick it up on my website, too. Speaking of... I'd also like to add that the Zircon Studios website has been entirely redesigned by Cyan_Ide, from *scratch* - it's awesome. New content, news/blog system, reorganization, snazzy new logo, the whole deal. Flash and HTML versions for your viewing pleasure too. Anyway, you can visit the "Store" link on the site to pick up the WAV version of the album for $11.99. My previous albums are also available there in digital format, as well as iTunes. Enjoy! Feel free to leave your comments, reviews, etc. here Quote
Sole Signal Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Good luck with this dude; from the previews I can tell you're on top of your game with this release. I'll probably pick this up (and Impulse) when I get some spare cash. Quote
CHz Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Could the album description be any more self-aggrandizing? I mean, when I read it out loud, I can literally hear you masturbating in the background. (also, buying so fast) Quote
avaris Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Wow dude it really sounds like you're starting to come full circle as an artist this is really impressive. Art of Zen is my fav out of the previews...I'm sucha whore for ethnic sounds and a late 80's earl 90's feel. It has a really good melody. They all sound like killer tracks. Mind Bender sounds like SGX. Kudos for having the balls to release the album during exams. I just picked up a copy. Haha you didn't mention Tauce in the album description...poor Tauce. Good luck dude! Quote
zircon Posted April 19, 2007 Author Posted April 19, 2007 Thanks for the comments guys Another; www.zirconstudios.com/audio/LTTS.mp3 BTW another reason to preorder rather than wait for the release; the more preorders I get, the more copies I can send to CDBaby, rather than sending them in small increments (which is annoying and expensive). So tell your friends! Quote
SwordBreaker Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I really enjoyed those previews...especially the one with Jill (Breathing in You)...I'm kind of addicted to the preview version now...it reminds me of one of those cool trance songs with female vocals, like Above and Beyond's "Can't Sleep". Jill's voice sounds kind of different from her OCR stuff, too...I can't exactly put my finger on it... Nice work, man. Hopefully this album sells well. It's possible that I buy it just out of curiousity... Quote
Sole Signal Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Another; www.zirconstudios.com/audio/LTTS.mp3 Bah, I've already heard this whole song elsewhere. May I ask the titles of the two tracks you submitted to the DDR contest? I would guess this was one of them? Quote
The Joker Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Now that Walgreens offer those visa gift cards, I'm probably gonna pre order this birch. That's like... $3 off the final price! Quote
zircon Posted April 19, 2007 Author Posted April 19, 2007 Bah, I've already heard this whole song elsewhere. May I ask the titles of the two tracks you submitted to the DDR contest? I would guess this was one of them? Yes, that is one of them - "Ladder to the Sky". The other I submitted was "Warhead". Quote
The Unsung Plumber Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Alright, I ordered my copy. Now all I have to do is sit here for 3 weeks, Great. Quote
PlastikBag Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Holy shit. This is awesome. They all sound awesome, but I NEED Depth Charge. Preordering. Quote
ellywu2 Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 wow. You took trancey.mp3, added pixietricks and made it awesome. I'll buy it just for that reason. Quote
Jillian Aversa Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Already got two preorders - one for each of my parents on Mother's and Father's Day! If you guys thought Impulse Prime was good, just wait till you hear this. IT'S AWESOME! XD Quote
The wingless Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Already got two preorders - one for each of my parents on Mother's and Father's Day! If you guys thought Impulse Prime was good, just wait till you hear this. IT'S AWESOME! XD omg. groove and love bias. Quote
Bahamut Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 You're such a whore Andy . I preordered my copy already though! Quote
Moguta Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Put my preorder in tonight after hearing this groovy phatness on Steve's VGM show. Yet more musical joy to look forward to, suh-weet! Quote
Crazyonr1 Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Hey Zircon, since the album is comming out on the 10th, can we expect it to get our place of residence on the 10th? The reason I'm asking is, I'm leaving for someplace on the 11th, so should I plan on sending it to the place I'm going, in order to get it faster? I hope that makes sense Quote
Darklink42 Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 I really love your work Zircon, I am so going to preorder this when I get a chance. Sounds damn sweet from the previews, can't wait to hear the full deal. Quote
linkspast Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 So When I preorder it is there a way I can Download the songs the release day? or do I have to wait for a physical copy? Quote
Fishy Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Just listened to all the previews, and now I have to buy this thing you crazy person! Highlights for me were Prelude, Standpipe Valve, Depth Charge (lawl, I wonder why), The Art of Zen and Antigravity. Quote
TheWestWind Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Wow! I'm lovin' these! I just pre-ordered it, haha~ Quote
FiremanJoe Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 the one with Jill (Breathing in You)...I'm kind of addicted to the preview version now...it reminds me of one of those cool trance songs with female vocals, like Above and Beyond's "Can't Sleep". Jill's voice sounds kind of different from her OCR stuff, too...I can't exactly put my finger on it... Agreed. That, and Sydney band The Whitlams have a song with the same title. Quote
zircon Posted April 21, 2007 Author Posted April 21, 2007 linkspast; I actually didn't think of that, but yes, I can provide MP3 download links on the release date to people that bought it. Remember this may be a little BEFORE May 10th so just keep an eye on the topic (it will be bumped + renamed). Pop me a PM or email and I can hook you up. CrazyOnr; The release date - be it May 10th or a bit before - is the date that my distributor will start shipping the CDs out to people, and the day that the digital DL will go up on my own site. So if you are going somewhere by the 11th it might make sense to have it sent to the place you are going. Thanks for the comments everyone! Quote
CE Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 When I read the thread title I thought they'd discovered how to generate Antigravity. Sadly disappointed. Quote
