Fuller sound

I've been using FL Studio 7 XXL now (yay! I got it off of www.academicsuperstore.com for cheap) and every song that I've made has been a little muddy and tends to get quite loud. Does anyone have any tips for getting richer, more stereo sound like the stuff I hear here on OCR? Is there some sort of secret or panning? or is it just something to learn over time? Thanks for your help!

Can you show an example of what you have now, and then a song that you would like to sound like?

has some tutorials about achieving a "full" sound that might possibly help. they won't give you a magic pro sound instantly, but there's some concepts and tricks in there that are definitely some good ideas to experiment with and try out.
