  2. Hi Everyone. Above is the link to my newest video game cover/remix thing. Obviously SEO optimized for Youtube. Been working on a lot of things mostly to improve my process - but it's been worth it since I feel like I can actually do stuff like this without having to reinvent my process over and over again... I'm always looking for feedback - Just because it's on YouTube doesn't mean that I can't tweak to submit later - and I wanted to post it here because I can't for the life of me think of a title. While not having a unique title is great for getting clicks on the youtubes - not so much for OCR consideration. The source link is below, my concern here is if it's interpretive enough. I definitely change things around a lot and have an original section in there. I just know I've gotten feedback before on being to conservative and I really take that to heart. https://www.dropbox.com/s/cwxm2gb8mkk051t/XvsZero-Reamp.mp3?dl=0

  3. Yeah, I know, this has been done before, but now i'm doing it so THERE. I've been wanting to listen to an artists full collective works on ocr for a while to document their growth, also so I can analyse their style and hopefully use that info to improve my own I'm going to be picking artists from random but depending on the length of their collective works, it might take me longer than others to finish my full review. In many cases I may split my reviews into multiple parts. Any feedback anyone has on how I decide to approach this is welcome, I am open to any suggestions to make things a little easier in terms of reading. Without further ado, LETS DO THE THING! 4. I trimmed the thread - you may post the other remixes in new threads. Glad I could help.

  5. Hey there! Neat arrangements of video games? I think you're in the right place, no worries. If you'd like to know more about these forums I suggest reading the general rules, as well as the more specific rules for this particular section. Just a quick pointer on here, there is a rule for one track per thread, one thread per track. Thus, I'll probably trim this thread and let you post your other track if you'd like. This helps listeners know what they're in for when they click your link. Also, you'll need to give your thread a title that lets listeners know what they're in for. "Castlevania Wicked Child Metal remix", for example, would work well enough for the Castlevania track. Nice Castlevania remix, by the way. No worries, though, you're definitely in the right place; I welcome you to the forums, and I hope you come by often to share and listen.

  7. Thank you for the votes! This was a really nice contest and I'm glad people were able to get mixes submitted. These contests are great, and I like listening to other people's takes on a track; it showcases different ideas so well while keeping the core of the sourcetune together.

  8. Following this thread. This is more or less a list of "If there was a VG Realbook, it would need these tracks in it." And since I'm making one of those, this could be useful for that. Butter Building (Kirby Series) Lost Woods (Ocarina of Time) Overworld (Every Super Mario Bros.) Ending (Super Mario Bros 3) Chocobo Theme (Final Fantasy) Slider (Super Mario 64) Tetris A and B Themes The Moon (Ducktales) Fourside (Earthbound) And I'll stop there for right now.

  10. Did that already. I put it in as Final Kingdom. IDK - I tried two times, so F it - I'll worry about it next round.

  11. Ooh, groovy. This entire ReMix is so smooth, and you couldn't stop at that beautiful violin, you went and added a sweet organ solo as well. The bass was simply electrifying as well. I guess you can say that Nostalvania had a spark of creativity with this one. Awesome mix.

  12. Great stuff. Not familiar with the source, but I like the instruments used - and how the bass keeps moving. Excellent sound. Weirdly, I would assume the bass might be real and that the violin part were "faked" if it were not for the text!

    How to use Prefixes

When posting a new topic, ou can choose one of the four preset prefixes. The default prefix is 1. work-in-progress. As you get feedback and develop your track, change the prefix accordingly to indicate the status of your track. This helps the evaluation team keep tabs on your track. Here are the prefixes and what they mean: work-in-progress Your track is a work-in-progress and you need feedback from the community. This is the default prefix. ready for review Change your prefix to this when you want a workshop evaluator to give your track an official look. Once they provide you with feedback, they'll change your track back to 1. work-in-progress. completed Change your prefix to this when you feel you're done with your track. submitted Change your prefix to this once you have submitted your completed track to the Judges Panel. As you can see we've numbered the prefixes to help you iterate through the process, but if you want to jump ahead and just post a completed track that doesn't require review, you can do that with the appropriate prefix as well.
