I'm torn between this and 'the end', but what am I sayin this isn't a competition. This mix kicks a whole lot of ass. For me if I was lookin at this in terms of the original, it still kinda has a dark feel to it kinda like a more urban, evil Sephiroth. This doesn't sound repetitive to me at all, it sounds "right" I don't think the judges would have any problems passing this, if they do it would only be because of the "repetition" which I don't really notice. Great shit PR you'll have to reveal some of your secrets as to how to get a mix so damn loud. I'm gonna be afraid to work on any of my music as they won't pump nearly as loud lol xD.

What I don't get is why you're comparing all the other games with dreamland? Are you saying you liked Dreamland 3 more because all subsequent games tried to be too much like superstar? O_o That video made the kirby game look a lot funner. I'm still put off by the fact that he doesn't suck up or absorb enemies powers that's a trademark of kirby that shoulda stayed intact in some form. Still want this though looks fun as hell.

Even so. Some people may feel like it's not a big deal but I'm the type of person who wants what they paid for. Sure they just added a camera to the dsi (I'm sure there were more changes than that)but it's still worth as much as you paid for with the outdated version. It's like a kick in the balls I feel I don't want to shell out more money for that when they shoulda put it on the ds in the first place.

Hey Sifu. I gave this a listen finally. I gotta tell you, this is really sweet. I do have to agree with everyone with what their sayin about the drums not tryin to pick on you I swear lol. But I can see what they're sayin about how the drums doesn't really match the rest of the track. When I listen to it, I feel a lot of the energy is lost through lack of soundscaping. What I mean by that is while the track isn't by no means empty, there isn't enough in the soundscape to compliment the driving beat you have goin. It sounds like you're goin for somethin a bit ambient so I would dare to say add some gritty, dirty synths somewhere in there to help fill the soundscape to match the drums OR maybe add some more layers to the drums like bongos maybe or somethin else that would help to fit the mood and feel of the track. I do like the drums don't get me wrong but as Gario said, it's like a clash of genres with the melodic part of the track and the drums. Me and you are similar in terms of how we feel about our music when people give feedback, open yet still defensive which is why I respect that about you, my Goldeneye 64 remix went through over 100 renditions before I finally got it right xD. Hope that helps Sifu, don't give up on it because this shit is sweet as hell .

Imma listen to this sometime today and give my input. And I like how you defend your work you definitely have a point with what you said and honestly, I don't think anybody can argue. But yeah I'll either edit this post or just make a response dependin on if someone else replies.

Sounds pretty cool so far. The only complaint I have are the drums, the reason bein is that this song has a kinda epic feel to it and I don't think the drums hit hard enough for that. Other than that I think this is sweet as well. Can't wait to hear a guitarist on this, if I could play the guitar I'd be all over it lol.

Never heard the source I got, never played the game, but I do like it. And I can't wait to start workin on it. I don't know what Imma do, well why am I sayin that, it's gonna be more breakbeat stuff.

Never tried chorus with bass, that might be messin with your mixing although I've never tried so I wouldn't know. Also, make sure that you're eq'ing the bass and the kick so that they're not interfering. Meaning boost key frequencies while dropping the not so important ones. Also make sure that synths or other instruments aren't hogging some of those bassy frequencies, you'll get a lot clearer sound of the bass when you don't have so many clashing frequencies what people like to call "mud". Some basic stuff that may help. It would also help to give us a sample of a song or remix you're talkin about, you don't have to show the whole song, just sections.

Wow! Thanks for postin that Larry, that super made my day lol =). I totally forgot I wrote that paragraph of mine lol. Shows how bitter I was when I subbed that but still thankful at the same time. My perspective on things have changed a whole lot now. After comin to a realization that I suck it's easier to take criticism especially good criticism meant to help me lol.
