  1. This is a pretty cool project concept, that would break some new ground. The idea of SMB music as the source material sounds like a lot of fun. I actually have an idea I've worked on a bit that would fit this concept, I doubt I could pull the required production values together for it on my own, but I could get some substantial work done on the arrangement and see if someone would like to collab on it with me. --Eino
  2. Reunion rulez. I like to set the filter in my music player to "Probably Electronic" and enjoy the consistently good results. --Eino
  3. I really appreciate these introductions. Especially the notion of sending PMs to mod reviews, I would have thought that each of you monitors the boards for mod review threads, and that I should just wait. It's also great to have a summary of expertise, that helps with who to contact. --Eino
  4. The underground caverns, it's a watery place. --Eino
  5. I have resubbed my UNATCO arrangement. --Eino
  6. Damn, I was just yesterday thinking how I'd like to cover this tune. Urgh, I really don't have the time! --Eino
  7. Well, my dear daughter just fractured my old original DS. :/ --Eino
  8. Urgh.. another sunday night/early morning listening party? I'd really love to participate, the Gunstar Heroes parties were a lot of fun! --Eino
  9. Surprise 40-minute "entry"! ..yes that took me 40 minutes. --Eino
  10. I like the scope of this project. Should be interesting! :> --Eino
  11. Powerful stuff, great playing and good clarity in the mixing. I think the music has a nice balance between complexity and straightforwardness for my taste in heavy prog-influenced music. I also enjoy the switching between angular riffing to grand, majestic feel and back. And then there's "Solar" which is something quite else again. Unsurprisingly, the bass is super tasty throughout. Very riff based, there's little overtly melodic content here but I'm really not missing that. I like how the pieces don't drag on, but are quite concise. Easier to enjoy on repeat! --Eino
  12. Thanks for the crits! That all makes sense to me. I'll look through the source for more material to use in the lead & support writing. I'll take care of the soundspace issues as well (thicker lead/support instruments I'm thinking) and look at the snare too. Again, thanks! --Eino
  13. Install iTunes -> sell soul to Apple -> buy album -> also buy the Roof Beam Carpenters album while you're at it -> convert to MP3 -> uninstall iTunes can't get your soul back from Apple tough Kidding about souls and Apple, but not sure I want to jump through those hoops either. DarkeSword, won't the bitching about iTunes-only in this thread help make Capcom consider other distribution channels? --Eino
  14. https://www.humblebundle.com Humble Indie Bundle 9 has Trine 2 (+expansion), Mark of the Ninja, Brütal Legend and the new Eets as a beta. Pay more than average (around $5) to get FTL and Fez. Now I can vouch that for FTL alone this is a deal among deals! Soundtracks too for Trine 2, Brütal Legend, FTL and Fez. HIBs are pretty much my main source for Linux gaming, so I always appreciate them. I'm looking forward to playing Fez especially! --Eino
  15. I for one won't be getting this album if it's only available through iTunes. I do think this is a cool thing happening! --Eino
  16. A bit late, but happy birthday to the one and only Dj Mokram! edit: Pretty neat trailer for the album! --Eino
  17. I'm actually pretty pleased that a Linux version will get made. Maybe it'll work on my rusty trusty old laptop! Probably won't be able to pledge during the KS, but I'm certainly looking forward to buying the game sooner than later. --Eino
  18. From a quick listen, sounds like a good update! Especially the organ (tasty sound there), and the strings at the end fill it out nicely. I'll try to give it a more thorough listen soonish and give more feedback. --Eino
  19. I really like the Ice Man theme too. I only now realized the loop is really, really short. edit: also, the Fire Man theme --Eino
  20. Pledged $5, I'm hoping others here can pledge a bit more and get the actual album download too. (: --Eino
  21. Seeing "happy birthday, death" is surreal.. but so be it! Happy birthday! --Eino
  22. These sound like good ideas; I thought the soundscape was a bit sparse (though what was there was pretty good), and also I was fully expecting the strings join in in the final part. (One thing about the sparseness, I thought that it was really screaming for vocals! screaminggeddit!?) Yes, that'd likely kick this up a level! --Eino
  23. I appreciate this version, I certainly wanted to hear a NES style version of the theme, nice work on making one so quickly! --Eino
  24. 1:00-3:00 at night for me, but I'll see what I can do! --Eino
  25. Didn't sound that dark to me though. All right, but not that dark.--Eino
