  1. The following track is still open: And in addition, these tracks are now available: Contact me via PM if you want to claim a track.
  2. Thanks a lot Bahamut and everyone for the wishes. I suppose I've seen better days, but I'm still in one piece, which is saying something. You have no idea!
  3. Since it's a brothday wish, I'm dropping Uncle for something more appropriate.

So, thanks Stevo Aniki! Because srsly, you're the awesome man here, not me. :D

  4. Masaharu Iwata - Ultima, the Perfect Body (from Final Fantasy Tactics original soundtrack)
  5. Great birthday to you sir! Keep the awesome orchestral ReMixes coming.
  6. Ahah, posted about this in IRC like five minutes after it was released, nobody cared. One week later, it's the new internet sensation! Some great stuff in there Will, different yet familiar. Almost make me wanna try my hand at creating real chiptunes. But anyway, pretty cool album right here. Cheers!
  7. Wow! It's the 100th OHC already? Need a very special theme for that one.
  8. This thread looks so clean and immaculate. ...but wait! Does this means we should all forget about our dark past and pretend we somehow live a normal life now, going around listening to safe-for-work podcasts and all? of course not!
  9. See, that's the part I do not understand right here. Maybe Hiroki Kikuta is among us, but he needs to keep his identity hidden until release, or something... ;P
  10. Even if it's written in swedish, I'm still advocating the implementation of this in the OP.
  11. Man, I had no idea caleb was on his own for this. Sorry for bringing that back and hyping it up then. Still looking forward to see his work, for that album cover is great.
  12. Wow, that was fast! I remember last time you talked about this in IRC with analoq, back when this was still a concept site with a built-in compo system. Looking neat and refined now, though it's too bad you haven't been able to find a co-founder yet. If you can capitalize on this great idea, and keep adding new features and capabilities, you should be able to widen the target audience in no time. I'll be keeping an eye on SolidComposer in the future. Best of luck in this venture Andy!
  13. And don't think we've forgotten about this: That should give people another good reason to be excited about the album release.
  14. Rafael Dyll - Sector Zeus (from Söldner-X 2 Final Soundtrack)
  15. This is pretty far from the original in terms of style and overall sound choices, but the source is here and it sounds pretty good to me so far. I really love when the main melody kicks in at 0:56 with that lofi lead. Very pleasant nostalgic moment right here. I'm not versed enough in either this genre or the prod aspect to delve on that, so I leave it to the people who know to give harsher crits. A whole box of kudos for, once again, giving some love to the FFXI soundtrack. Keep it up!
  16. Thanks Bleck. This is why as a Rocman fan, I'm refraining from any excitement about this bloody fantastic looking trailer and the game that'll accompany it. The sad reality is, no matter how hard I try, I'll never be korean enough to play it...
  17. Damn Brad, you made a complete song in just two hours? This means you potentially could have made the whole album by yourself in less than a week. Wait...why did people had to wait all these years then? ;D Good things seem to happen in a row apparently. It's like the stars finally started to align for this project.
  18. At this point you might as well call it: SDIII - The Rise of Rozo the Crimson. ...allright, allright! I'm going back into my cage to work on my song now. No need to use that whip. ;D
  19. Hey, I remember this from an IRC session quite some time ago. Mad props to you for having the will to learn all these skills by yourself, then put them to good use. That's an impressive undertaking for just one person, and... makes me wanna start learning how to make my own game too. Those tracks sounds pretty damn good for soundfonts, and I'm getting a vibe in the lines of FireEmblem or OgreBattle (but not FFTactics or Tactics Ogre). So like I said back then, I look forward to seeing the game engine in motion. Keep it up Xerol.
  20. My first encounter with a shmup was on a ...boat actually. It was ThunderCross II, which is Konami's homage to it's own Gradius serie. It was never ported to console, but the first one was featured later on a PS2 collection. But as one may expect, in japan only. Had lot of fun over the years with games such as the Life Force/Gradius serie, Area 88, the R-Types, Last Resort, ThunderForce, Raystorm, The Raiden Project, Radiant Silvergun, Einhander, Ikaruga...and others that might have eluded me too. Thanks to you guys and this thread, I have been enjoying (and re-enjoying) some fine shmup moments as of recently. That Raiden III was a bitch to get a hold of but well worth the trouble. And I'm also digging quite a bit two Einhander clones that I don't think anyone mentioned: Last Savior and Söldner X. The latter got ported to the PS3 and even got a sequel, which has to be the most visually stunning shmup I've ever seen. Plus the music was composed by a guy from the C64 and Kwed remix scene. And speaking of handheld, anyone tried Nanostray for the DS? I've had the opportunity to try NanoStray 2 recently, and thought it was pretty cool.
  21. But yes you can! Or alternatively, you could try not being super-busy-Stevo for 5 minutes, and watch it on the comp. ;P Thanks SNJ3. Lot of that depends on how the next due date turns out in term of progress. Though I already have my idea for the release date, I'm holding it until the music part of the project is at least 75% complete. I'm updating the project recruitment thread on a regular basis, so stay tuned.
  22. First we lost Bahamut and his megaflare, and now the Golden Taucer is gone! ...we're defenseless. Props on managing to make a living out of your passion, and best of luck for the future sir.
