  1. The high level of production quality for every song on this album has amazed me, to be honest. This track is certainly no exception. Incredible ReMix collab between Brandon and BGC.
  2. All the themes meld together so nicely in this one, that I would have to agree that this would fit right in with an overall reprise. I especially liked what you did with it from 3:08 onward. Lots of great electronica going on here.
  3. Oh man, that electric piano sounds so hauntingly good with the stormy sound effects in the background for the intro. It does seem to capture a sense of hopelessness, but at the same time, it's arranged so well that it has a weird uplifting beauty to it. Very interesting.
  4. Oh, damn, those drums have a good smack to them. Excellent production and really goes along with the kind of electronica I love the most: dark and crisp. Great technological vibe, I love it.
  5. Chippy 80's is always welcomed to my ears, especially with elecman's theme. Goes so well together with Sheep man, which is a nice surprise to me.
  6. I like how the album picture from the website seems to fit the sound of this song. It’s like what would happen if the water levels mixed with the pipes and got a little….well….warped. Twisted and wonky, it’s an interesting ReMix. I like the voices used in the track.
  7. Cool. I love the quick cybernetic vibe that fits right in with the more natural elements of this track. Those light airy vocals of Jill's are just fantastic with this ReMix. Great electronica abound! From the way people are talking, Deus Ex sounds like a game I need to go play.
  8. Now this is how an ending suite should sound, by god! Eight plus minutes of epic endings and more, and damn does it sound good!
  9. I've said this before, but the only issue I ever seem to have with some of these "live" ReMixes isn't even some mistakes or things that sound a little off. Hell, that just adds to the live experience in my opinion, because that's what happens in live performances. But sometimes the recordings for these things seem to hurt it at some points when they aren't cleaned up. Still, recording aside, the arrangement kicks ass and the singer's voice is lovely. Being a huge fan of Portal and it's music, especially the credits, it's pretty sweet to hear a ReMix that goes through several sections of whimsical playing and slow playing while keeping the feeling alive. Love the audience laugh at 0:58, and between the orchestra and the background choir, I legitimately enjoyed this one. So good.
  10. Gotta admit, I'm a pretty big fan of that flute and a lot of the choices made for when things like the little bells pop in and out were brilliant. Not sure how to describe it, but I think I kinda like how it's not a clear cut as some would probably like it. It's weird, but still, with all the different changes that take place over the course of the mix, it keeps attention going. Pretty good, Rexy.
  11. I love Listen to the Cries of the Planet and it's perfect for somber, creeping arrangements. The sound effects of breaking glass work nicely here, especially when things pick up about halfway. This is the kind of ReMix that doesn't demand attention with a slap to the face, but it sounds good enough that it really should get the attention it deserves. Not bad.
  12. That intro with the "emergency alert" voice was so well done, you can just picture a break-in at a high tech facility perfectly. Both this and the other track on the album that Washudoll has done take the sources to another level easily and the combination of orchestra and rock makes for a very exciting ReMix. Lots of energy and makes great use of every part of the source, which is cool. Awesome ReMix of Magna Centipede, Washudoll!
  13. The percussion, and of course the piano, in this one is insanely good coupled with the synth here. Pretty amazing tune that brings in a lot of emotion without getting overly happy, which sometimes ruins the mood when done wrong. Not a problem here, because melody does it right once again. Excellent work!
  14. Totally agree. I can just see this being used in that context and it wouldn't seem out of place at all. So deliciously funky and as far as jazz/funk fusion ReMixes go, this one is a toe-tapping keeper for sure.
  15. Odd little one, this is. Nice to hear something float around while moving the arrangement where it needs to go. The voices popping in adds to the vibe of the ReMix's slightly off feel. Chilling and relaxing, very cool.
  16. Oh, this ReMix is so much fun. Bouncy and carnaval-like, and having those latin instruments sounding really good, it's one of those ReMixes that can get you to smile. I can hear the party/marching direction in this one clearly, and again, it's just a lot of fun to listen to.
  17. Wow, getting the personal thumbs up from one of the composers pretty much says it all on how awesome this ReMix really is. A great melodic piece from a classic game ramped up with some really good acoustic guitar work and more. Damn good ReMix, jmr.
  18. I have to say that I agree that this sounds like a two song set, but since both the first and second half sound amazing, I see no problem here. I enjoyed the second half much more though. It really goes to another level after 5:40, but the entire ensemble was impressive. Loved the female vocalist's voice and I can really roll down the road to this one.
  19. Dude, for one of your first attempts at some electric jazz, this is really good! Production sounds great and the arrangement is hot! Very smooth and glides with the drums. Nice title as well, although bad images are soon to come in the minds of some. Great ReMix.
  20. Freaking love the sonar opening! Can't believe I didn't review this when it came out, but this is a fantastic take on the Sea theme. When it picks up after 1:35, I just get the urge to move around a bit. Wonderful beat with those ambient pops and that sonar going off a few times. This ReMix is happy, and it makes me feel happy. So good!
  21. The sources that were mixed here were tackled alright in my opinion, and the combinations seemed to work out, but I would have to say that the opening is what worked the best with the bells cutting to the metal. The mix had a great arrangement, good energy and you had enough variation to keep things interesting. Good addition to FF7's library of ReMixes.
  22. Hmmm, that was quite the opening! The vocals where great with the robotic make-over, but they're a bit hard to hear because of the music and the way they're done. Not bashing them because I loved the idea and use, but I'm thankful for the lyrics tab at times. Other than that, very exciting and the kick up to dubstep was pretty cool. Great stuff here, fellas!
  23. Really is one of those peaceful, tranquil ReMixes that gets the tone right from the piano. You can feel like your floating in the breeze or resting in the sky with this one. Very nicely done.
  24. Well, when you took on The Extreme, you nailed it down pretty good. I can say that I enjoyed this ReMix and I won't dwell on the little minor things others already picked out. Since fade outs don't bug me all that much, it didn't do so here. Not bad.
