  1. I'd be pleased with character specific adventures, or Outrun style path branching.
  2. This makes me happy. For once the sound is given just as much attention as the rest of the game.us Interested to hear results.
  3. To also clarify- http://www.ocremix.org/info/Submission_Standards_and_Instructions#What_qualifies_as_a_.27ReMix.27.3F Paragraph 3.
  4. If anyone has played FF12 since its release, they're free to take Penelo. Since it's actually the first Final Fantasy game I might play, I'm not up for the spoiler stuff. There's not much info to find beyond playing it; damn PAL releases.
  5. Oh! In that case, the classics: http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01266/ http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01420/ http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01385/ http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01388/ http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01249/ http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01272/ http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01192/ http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01192/
  6. When you say long time, what, a year? Here's a handful of mixes from the past few months involving guitar. http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01532/ http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01528/ http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01527/ http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01521/ http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01517/ http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01515/ http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01508/ http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01506/ http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01492/
  7. I will not hear any negative comments towards Majora's Mask in this thread. The Diddy Kong Racing port will persuade me based on the extras Rare is adding in. Track editor sounds cool, just want to hear some final opinions first.
  8. Vaffe's Gamergasm site hasn't been updated since June and his forums were choc-a-block with spam bots. Those guys did a great podcast, sad it stopped. Hasn't posted here for ages either.
  9. Wasn't Adrian the one who runs a big emulation/programming site? From the writeup- http://www.djangoproject.com/
  10. Well, the pic won't load for me. All I can see is the thumbnail. Lucky he's going to appear, was sort of automatically assuming it.
  11. I liked the bells. Do more with them! They were cool. Wouldn't have seen the source done this way, so nice work in that respect.
  12. If I took vibrate off you'd hear Ken's theme. Blame Joe Darwish for that one.
  13. http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=6143 If you were gone for only four days then what were you browsing before then?
  14. The other two at the end of that track were Kraid's theme from Metroid and the title theme from Ocarina of Time.
  15. The more pressing question is why one was on the website for Survivor?
  16. Perth is probably the most populated of Australia in terms of OCR people, for some reason. TO, Revolver Project, Hadyn, probably more I'm forgetting.
  17. Rome: Total War is also a good one. The world map is turn based, Civilisation style, and the battles have a real time RTS system.
  18. That stuff was played live, if I remember the credits. Just cleverly disguising the transition with the boost SFX.
  19. And the bit where you can't see any of the forum without having to sign up. No incentive.
  20. qfe. iMuse I think hasn't been bested in gaming today, and it still managed to sound damn good. I like to think of dynamic music as a realtime cutscene as opposed to the pre-rendered kind. The interactive medium will always benefit from using MIDI in terms of being seamless, and not at all disconnected with the gameplay. You can try and emulate the dynamics a la Final Fantasy VIII (or at least the intro cutscene in the demo, that's all I played), but it's all down to how smart the designer is in transitioning them. Then again, it certainly wouldn't hurt if Kondo and crew updated their samples for once.
  21. Beyond Good and Evil integrates stealth aspects, Zelda-type puzzles, photography in either free roaming areas or more scripted cinematic sections. Even a bit of racing for good measure.
  22. Eh. That's what the song was submitted to this site under, so it's not wrong per se.
