  1. Title: Placeholder Source: Donkey Kong Country 1 - Life in the Mines Link to the Track (NEW VERSION): https://clyp.it/nlwjlbui Link to the Track (First WIP): Description: I haven't submitted anything on OCR in a while, but this track made me feel I should do it. A reimagination of the original in a rock/metal style. I hope you like it! Any feedback is greatly appreciated. EDIT BY TAUCER: here's the source:
  2. and a little bit of a medley from Zelda II - hope your ears like it!
  3. “Tetris Love” takes the Tetris Theme and turns it into a catchy, bouncy, and banging dance track. Lyrically, this song compares a beautiful woman to the game of Tetris. The beat then turns into a dance mix of vocal chops and samples. The male vocals are mine. The true perfect piece to complete your Tetris Love! Hopefully I can submit this!
  4. So I recently blitzed through Xenoblade Chronicles 2, which has an awesome soundtrack. Like seriously even if you don't have an interest in the game I highly recommend checking it out. After almost 100 hours in the game, I felt it was time to try my hand at a remix. This is a remix of the music that plays in one of the towns at night. "Don't Forget Me" has become something of a meme in Xenoblade/other gaming circles. Anyone who's played the game will know what I mean Original song: Remix: Anyways, probably not submission material, but if someone thinks otherwise I may consider submitting it. I hope you enjoy!
  5. back with a another remix, this time from extreme g3 menu theme.. no idea who the performer is, but i think this is the only unlicensed artist .. the other race music tracks are all by licensed artists...loved this theme and remind me on the first extreme g menu theme enjoy
  6. Hey everybody - new piece here! This is an arrangement for full Orchestra, and it's entitled "All my Friends". It contains music from a few different game soundtracks in the LoZ Series, namely the themes of some of the more memorable characters: Saria and Sheik from Ocarina of Time, Midna from Twilight Princess, Linebeck from Phantom Hourglass, and Sidon from Breath of the Wild. The piece begins with a hazy chord from the strings, over which the melodies of the themes used are played together by the woodwind instruments. The piece is a slow, meditative arrangement, reflecting on the impressions that I (and most others no doubt) have had of the characters whose themes are included in the piece; mysterious for Saria, mournful for Midna, ethereal for Sheik, tragic for Sidon, and a lively end from Linebeck.
  7. A little remix I did of the intro of a Super Nintendo video game called Top Gear 3000. I loved playing this game and I think everyone that also enjoyed it can agree, the music was pretty awesome. I just had fun with remixing it since music is a hobby of mine. I was hoping to give it a darker feel to try to hype up the listener and put you in the seat of an alien death race. Haha. Well I hope you enjoy and let me know what you think!
  8. Hello people, i just made a new thing, a kind of "smooth" guitar version of Floating Away from Kirby Super Star! I originally don't know Kirby music so i took the time to listen to a bunch of them and this one caught my attention. I really liked how relaxing the main melody was. So my idea for the arrangement was to make it even more chill. My main inspiration was "Breath" by Pink Floyd, especially for the drums. This arrangement also features a lot of improvisation (approximately 60% of the song) so i took a lot of freedom here and it's really different from the original. Still hope i managed to keep the global mood!
  9. Sup guys! What do you get when you mix Super Mario with Drum n Bass? Something to rock the clubs with! This track takes the Underground Theme from Super Mario Bros. and turns it into a club banger with added Ragga vocals, a hot bass-line, and a catchy rhythm. I'm also curious whether is this is close enough to a game remix for review? Anyways enjoy!
  10. I've done Chrono Trigger arrangements in the past, but the short 14-second theme for "Manoria Cathedral" has always been one of my favorite pieces of music from the game. Since the original theme was so short, I decided to do an improvisation based on that theme and flesh it out. My good friend Nathan offered to transcribe the piece and ended up finishing it in just a few hours. The sheet music is linked in the video description. Hope you guys enjoy!
  11. Hello, OC ReMix. So, here's my first contribution: an ambient arrangement I've made a little while ago. I'm not sure if I will try to submit it or anything, but your opinions are greatly appreciated, for I am still learning, after all. As for more info on the piece per se, it's based on Iudex Gundyr, from the Dark Souls 3's Original Soundtrack, and I made it with the mindset of it being played in the background while you explore the Untended Graves before testing your meddle against Champion Gundyr. I hope you like it.
  12. Hi OC Remix! I want to share my newest arrangement, intertwining the the themes of "Terra" from FF9 and "Phantom Forest" from FF6. These tracks both introduce new, mysterious locations to the gamer, twisting what they've learned so far in the game. Ironically I just happened to listen to these songs one-after-the-other in my playlist, and immediately heard the similarities! My arrangement strays from my usual style of upbeat remixes.. It felt weird to me to keep a beat with barely using any percussion. I hope you enjoy listening to this! I'm open to any comments and feedback, and greatly appreciate your time listening to my music. Thank you!! 13. Actually pretty proud of this. A lot of it is original material because I wanted to make it my own. Let me know what you think. Here's a link to my SoundCloud for better audio quality:
  14. I'd been wanting to tackle "Bonus Room Blitz" for years, and I always had it in mind to arrange it in a classical style. I ultimately decided on a more contemporary piano and string quartet. Also incorporated are bits of "Island Swing" and from DKC2, "Cranky's Conga". Hope you enjoy and thank you for listening!
  15. Hey ! Here's my new cover Yes, the arrangement is a bit light. The purpose of this cover was to test my new Korg Volca FM and learn FM synthesis. Enjoy !
  16. Hey everyone! I hope this is the right place to post this I just finished a long Zelda mix, including 5 remixes that I've done, and several beats from other artists that you may not have even heard of I think it turned out great, and I put a ton of work into the video too, as this is the first one I've done for multiple songs. Video was 100% done in FL Studio using ZGameEditor Visualizer plugin. Without further ado, I present "The Hero of Hyrule," a 40min Lo-fi, Trap, and Chillout mix ::TRACKLIST:: 00:00 - andre.Wav - Press Start 03:21 - FUSION42 - A Forgotten Lullaby 06:37 - Polaster - Bamboo Island (Lofi Remix) 08:56 - FUSION42 - Door of Time 10:57 - CheeseCakeBeats - Gerudo Valley 13:42 - FUSION42 - Mabe Chillage 16:58 - Phi Dao - Mipha 22:18 - Oskar Nyström (Tiny Drum) - Tarrey Town 24:08 - Smoove Beats - Valley 27:53 - FUSION42 - Windmill Lounge 31:21 - Patriice - Zelda's Joint [Lo-fi/Future Mix] 34:31 - Doc Infinity x mowgli - links loops 37:27 - FUSION42 - Final Hours I'm planning another mix like this also, although it will be open to lo-fi and chill remixes from any series, hit me up if you want to get featured. I'm also happy to answer any questions anyone here has as well. Thanks for listening and I hope this brightens up your day!
  17. Hey there, More so a cover, but I thought I'd still post as you guys may like this. Presenting Sanctuary by myself and Serenn
  18. https://drive.google.com/file/d/10kfzmuJDH219sAaJClFQAJbfra_pOSLz/view?usp=sharing Hey everyone! This is my first time posting here and my second attempt at remixing so I'm looking for some feedback. This song, the Lanayru Harbor music from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, may seem like a weird choice but the song always stuck out to me. One day it dawned on me that smashing the song Augusta, GA by Into It. Over It. and the Lanayru Harbor song together might yield something cool. Well, this rock remix is what came out of it. I'm particularly looking for feedback on the mix since that is something I've never been good at. Also, the song is pretty short, but both of the source songs are pretty short and I couldn't come up with anything to add length that didn't sound forced. Thanks!
  19. Hi guys! I'm back with a second remix.. As with the first one (Donkey Kong Country - Aquatic Ambiance // A Journey Through Grand Oceans), it is a lenghty track. Motivated by a few twists and turns which hopefully will keep the listener interested all the way. The style is electronic and instrumental, alternating between a bass/trap/hiphop-ish beat (?) and a slow house groove. Kind of. Sooo.. ready for review <3 I would love to lend someones ears to hear the mix/mastering of this one. Does it sound good overall? Anything I could change? Many thanks in advance. Dropbox link: Removed! Scroll down for the full track. Original tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-s-VQBoUdc
  20. Hey everyone Here's another lofi hip hop of a song from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 This one is sampled a lot more heavily than the last song I posted, and as such I will probably not be submitting, but just wanted to share and get some feedback. Cheers
  21. been a while since i've posted here i'm currently working on a remix of a tune from Uncharted 4. i'm trying out a different approach to form that slowly builds tension through layering parts and hinting at later chord progressions. i'm taking a lot of inspiration here from Mogwai and Yotto. for reference, i'm basing my arrangement off the tune as it appears on the OST and in-game. at the moment i'd say i have maybe two-thirds of the form sketched out. some of the parts (like the drums) and other instrumentation are placeholders for the time being. in any case, feedback is appreciated, thanks for listening (updated 2/1)
  22. Hello there! Today is the day I release a new remix of mine, so I've figured it would be a good occasion to open my first thread in here. To start 2018 on a high note I've decided to remix one of the dance-y/trance-y tracks from System Shock 2...and make it even more dance-y/trance-y, with chord stabs, acid lines, 170bpm and whatnot. Honestly I don't even know what genre this track falls into, but I hope you guys will enjoy nonetheless! [.video=youtube;] [/video.]
  23. Here's the link to the updated version for your convenience, I've removed some of the percussive instruments and just generally changed the whole mix to get rid of some of the imbalance. So I decided to make an acoustic version of this classic Zelda tune, I did my best with the filters to make it sound like an old latin song that you might have heard on the radio. I used something like 10 different percussive elements some panned, all with customized velocity and slight time delay, did my best to separate all the instruments as much as possible, but the filters and compressor does kinda make it hard to hear them all, it's a trade off I had to make to get old sounding effect. Nothing fancy on the guitar style, I used what I had in Nexus and used some effects to tweak the sound. I know that this style of remix has been done before it just fits this song so well. Hope you guys like it. There's a link in the video description if you want to download it.
