  1. Hey, I'm currently working on a new mix and would like your feedback on what I have so far. My Remix: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1P0uffVk8ynQ1Yk58Sb2BIgIDu2I17FHD Original: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5CnV7mnhbs Thanks for listening
  2. https://soundcloud.com/sawneek/aria-eclipsis-battle-theme Hello! this is a battle theme I've made for a videogame...if anyone want to use it please contact me by PM!
  3. This is the new version of my orchestral remix of Guile's theme. I Started over completely from scratch and have taken the critique I received on the old version into account, but I still feel that it isn't quite "there" yet, somethings missing. I'd love some feedback on this, maybe you guys can point me in the right direction. [EDIT: link below has been updated, the old version is still available on soundcloud of anyone wants to listen and compare.]
  4. Hey all! I wanted to share my latest project with you. I've been working on re-imagining the soundtrack to Chrono Cross as if it were a film score - classic symphony orchestra and all. What I'm sharing is the 2nd track on the album (I'm currently writing the 4th) of around 12 or so. I don't mind feedback, but mostly I wanted to share this with other fans of the series and get the album a little exposure before I try to kickstart a release later this year. I hope you enjoy it! I also can post the 1st track and parts of 3 and 4 if anyone is interested! 02 Far From Home - Cross Symphonic P.S. sorry if I posted this in the wrong section...
  5. Hello, after posting my first remix here not long ago I tried to use your feedback and made a second one. I kept this in a more classical style. What do you think? 6. Hello! I made orchestral cover for The Mad Doctor theme from Mickey's Wild Adventure game. This project was kind of practice thing where i tried different kinds of string combinations and pan techniques. Here is the Cover: Here is the Original:
  7. I know pronouncements for album releases here aren't as hot as they used to be, but I submit this work for your consideration and enjoyment anyway: I finally got to do a commissioned work for a visual novel and I contributed 12 tracks to the third game in a visual novel series called Without Within by InvertMouse Games. Not only is this my highest quality release to date, but it's also one of my most consistent and less electronic than before. I had to use more loop and phrase libraries to make that work since everything was still done in the computer and I can't play guitar, but the quality of the output speaks for itself. It fulfills my 15-year goal/dream to make music that puts my Chrono Cross inspiration full to the front AND I finally got to actually perform (with a piano) on a commercial music release instead of just sequence it (and it's not even any of the tracks that has a piano on it!) I don't get to sell this soundtrack as part of my contract deal with the commissioner, but for anyone who is interested in it, I'll post up a link here when that becomes available. Until then, please enjoy this work. I really got to break a lot of new ground here and I hope you're as pleased with it as I am! Composition, arrangement, mixing and further production: Meteo Xavier Mastering: Brandon Strader Album Artwork: Meteo Xavier using public domain images. Game available through InvertMouse Games.
  8. I got some inspiration from Star Trek, hence the Title Feedback is greatly apreciated!
  9. Here's one I whipped up tonight. I thought I'd give a go at trying a Hans Zimmer-type piece. I don't normally write in this style, but it's fun to try new things and practice weak areas. Enjoy!
  10. I made this song about 2 months ago and would like to know what you guys think. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kftWeD2uZ4w
  11. Hello there, This is my first arrangament for OCRemix: https://www.dropbox.com/s/x0npzk4bc7443g8/Into The Calm Of It.wav?dl=0 Right now is not finished (it ends abruptly at 1:33). I will add more parts, the mix and mastering still need work, and I will make more minor changes to the the arrangament to make it more interesting I have choosed a song from Secret Of Mana, and my idea was to rearrange the song into something more calmer, more contemplative. Maybe it will differ from the original but my idea wasn't to cover exactly the original song, but making something new from the original ideas of the composer (without adding new melodies or harmony). Here is the original song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFKoFzNfQdA I would like to receive any type of feedback. Arrangament/interpretation, production, performance, strucutre, etc... Note that this is my first arrangament, I've always composed original music, so... any tip is welcome.
  12. I'm a big anime fan and fan of the classical scores used in the alot of anime. Gurren Lagann or Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagan is a pretty good short mech anime with decent scores. My favorite Gurren Lagann instrumental comes in the final battle between Genome and Simon as heard here (All of You, Get Fired Up!- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3X4_2...). This track samples from it and with some drums and piano to make chill Gurren Lagan Mashup. It's somewhat vanilla but it's chill Enjoy.
  13. Hi, everyone. Aside from a few entries on one of the ongoing album projects, It's been too long since I last submitted any remixes to OCRemix. I'm looking to change that. Here is a rough draft of a remix of Midna's Theme and Boss Defeated tracks from Zelda: Twilight Princess: Rough Draft: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1KnMyYf46W7eDlUZW1lSlUyTDg/view?usp=sharing 1st Revision: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1KnMyYf46W7c1pBLThUUldHS2M/view?usp=sharing 2nd Revision: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1KnMyYf46W7bGtwWjlvV1VnWTA/view?usp=sharing Original tracks: A few particular things I'm looking for feedback on are: 1. The transition at 0:42. My aim was to create the feeling of suddenly waking up from a dream, but is the transition too abrupt? 2. Is the arrangement too conservative? 3. From 2:48-3:28 does the mixing get too crowded as more instruments are added? That has been a weakness of mine in past tracks. If there are any other issues with the track, I would most certainly love to hear feedback on them. I know the english horn sounds a bit wonky and I've been working at it to tighten it up, but sometimes it feels like CineWinds has a mind of its own. Thank you for listening!
  14. First-time post here, but I've been ghosting about for years ever since sequencing midis & entering composition contests over at VGMusic (as 'Spudge' if you've got a long memory!) I've just finished (I hope!) an orchestral arrangement of Phoenix Wright's Objection! theme from Spirit of Justice. I've tried to loosely ape Joe Hisaishi's style from his Studio Ghibli scores, closest to the theme from Howl's Moving Castle, but sadly nowhere near as jazzy! I'd love your thoughts on the arrangement and instrumentation; I was hugely limited by the native sounds in Logic Pro X, so strings play a much smaller role than I would have liked - but does let the piano take center stage. (...I know it's probably a mistake to have mentioned Studio Ghibli, as Hisaishi is an untouchable compositional powerhouse! But I can't deny I had his themes & approach in mind as I was arranging the thing). Thanks! EDIT: Sorry - here's the source VG track!
  15. I made a new song for a series I've been working on; tell me what you think!
  16. For a solid five years, whenever you spoke of MMOs this is the game that came to mind. This was the gorilla in the room. For hundreds of thousands, this theme is extremely nostalgic. It is for me too, as it takes me back to a time of wonder and mystery never again replicated. But as much as I love this song, I realize it has its faults. I would love to hear this be remixed into a more orchestral piece. An instrument ensemble, I believe, can really make the highs and lows of the song come to life. There are other songs in the game that would be amazing with a harmonious orchestra rework (Kelethin or a myriad of Planes of Power tracks comes to mind), but this is a good introduction. Although I never considered myself a fan of hard rock/heavy metal, at least two such remixes here have proved me capable of enjoying it.
  17. Hello Everyone! I made this song a little while ago and would like to know what you all think. I want to make more songs like this but I'm not sure yet. Thank you!
  18. I released my latest classical piece. This song accompanies a story that I created titled Remorse Nothing More. It is a full orchestration created in FL Studio. Please let me know what you think.
  19. I have the basics of a novel titled Remorse: Nothing More that I would love to publish one day alongside an album with each song corresponding to a chapter of the book. The album would all be orchestral (at least mostly) and each chapter's song would correspond with specific events in each chapter in mood and style. In this chapter, chapter five titled "Sustenance," the main character and the supporting character are resting after spending an entire day burying the martyred townsfolk. This rest after the weary and sad work is what the beginning is based upon. The supporting character then reveals that he grew up and lived some of his adult life as a soldier of the dictatorship ruling over their country. This dramatic revelation occurs with a flashback to his military days and is what the second part is based on. The final part (which hasn't been started--it is only a piano cord at the end) will be the main character staring at the partially burned church as a he falls asleep in prayer. Even if you don't understand what I'm trying to convey with the story please have a listen to my work in progress. I recently purchased new instruments so I am not that proficient with them yet. I use the DAW FL Studio 12. The following is the link for your listening pleasure. Please, I ask for feedback so that I can finish this piece! I also have a sound cloud account under the name of Tonal Bliss so please check me out. Thank you! http://www.tonalbliss.com/other/ChV-Sustenance6.mp3
  20. Hi there, first post on the forums, but I was hoping on getting some feedback on this song I made a while back. Unfortunately,I got a little too giddy, and released it without really checking it over a whole bunch. First thing, I can't easily put out new version of the song to listen to because FL Studios does not like rendering out the song without some glitchiness/weird stuff happening to it. I'll have to fix that eventually ): but for now I can only post videos. A few things I know I'll fix is the panning and volume of certain instruments. I was working on speakers because I didn't have headphones at that time, but since then bought a nice pair and was hoping to fix that up. The other thing is the equalization! I really can't get the intruments to sound well/dont know how to EQ them properly, specifically the xylophones/flute. I'm using the EWQL Gold library and FL studios if that helps anyone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1w7PUkkS2yI
  21. Hi there, I spent the last days working on this little tune... https://www.soundclick.com/artist/default.cfm?bandID=674265 ...a somewhat rhythmically driven (almost march-like) medieval/fantasy theme soundtrack theme. It's build upon a (hopefully) heroic melody and is intended to accompany the travel montage of a fantasy epic (game/film). If you have some handy tips, especially concerning the mix, please do not hesitate to share your insights. Best regards Dustin
  22. Here's the first of two video game arrangements I did for my indoor drumline a few years ago. I needed it to be easy enough for high school students to play, so that's one of the reasons it's only about a minute and half long. This one ended up sounding pretty decent after adjusting the attack/decay and environment settings, compared to the other one I just posted. But it feels too short. Also, I'm fully aware this theme has been done to oblivion. https://www.dropbox.com/s/bcvwd1u6ev14wic/Schala's Perc (Chrono Trigger).mp3?dl=0
  23. So a few years back I arranged a couple video game tunes for indoor drumline. I was kinda rushed for time when writing this one, so instead of continuing forever through even more key changes and stuff that the original track actually does, I just did a loop and made a quick ending. It worked enough for me and the group I was instructing, but I'm still not sure about it, but it's been years since I worked on it so there's that. Also, I did try adding general effects to make the instruments sound better, but in this case, it totally messed with all the dynamics and I wasn't able to figure out a way to make it the way I would've liked it. So I think I like this version more. So here is my arrangement of Arrival from Halo 4. https://www.dropbox.com/s/9byvyiqpx72g5vy/Arrival of Drums.mp3?dl=0 And here's the alternative version. https://www.dropbox.com/s/c7nwlwnq1f71iod/Arrival of Drums (V2).mp3?dl=0
  24. I decided to go more orchestral for this one, but get it to be pretty choatic and interesting. Let me know what you think! *Update* Fixed some mixing issues and got rid of the clicks.
  25. Hello, You will find one of my compositions. Hope you like it Don't hesitate if you have any comments. Best, Leonis
