Saunders
Mega Man 2 'Soap and Water' AE has mad skillz ;D. I may jest, but he does indeed have great skill when it comes to music. Especially in this genre (Electronica? Techno?). I’m not overly fond of this particular mix, but the amount of layers and different things going on here is definitely impressive. I refer you to my favourite area (~3:00) if you doubt me. Altogether an exceptional mix, just like the rest of AE’s work. Although I’d prefer a faster tune, and I expected it from AE with mixes like Wind Shear and Flash Fire, this mix is still great. 3/
Liontamer
Enjoying both Disco Dan's and Electron's Bubbleman ReMixes, I gotta go with AE's "Soap and Water" as my favorite of the three. There's so much going on here, it's incredible. This definitely stands on its own two feet as simply great music. I preferred more of the rearrainging of the theme in the beginning rather than the simple sound effects that AE gets into around the 3-minute mark, but honestly, it's all good here, because "Soap and Water" delivers in a big way, both as a remix and a stand-alone track. -LT
skawttieboy
I love how unique this mix is....yet it's not hard at all to tell when the theme comes in, because it's still mixed in so well. I have a lot of Bubble Man remixes, but this is one of the (if not THE) best one I have.
Weirdboyscott
Ahh yes, this faithful mp3 is the mp3 that brought me to this site. Some guy over Instant Messanger told me about the mp3, I asked him where he got it, and he sent the URL. Ehehehehe. But, Bubble Man's themes is one of my favs to start off with, so anything mixed from it is all good in my opinion, especially this one and the Hardcore Guitar Remix I found on the net somewhere. MB
this mix has a nice sweet groove. relaxing in a kind of trancy/ambient way. gotta be one of my favs. oh, and that other mix you were talking about, weird, with the kick ass guitar work was done by project x (who, by the way, has a lot of mega man 2 and 3 songs that can be found at http://www.zebox.com/projectx). fisherman
Groovin'. Throughout the entire thing I almost couldn't help but move with the rhythm and drum on my lap. I can't pinpoint what it is about the mix... it's just groovin'.
Gyokuran
I've been hooked on this, and Flash Fire for about the past week. This is some exelent work, probably my favorite on my play list! Rapyer2986
My second fav BubbleMan Mix all soaped up! I like the arrangement and it's got a great sound. I could groove to this all day! Nice beat and a bit of trance... AE still has it!
Karate_Freak
This is on par with "BubbleMan(wantstoget)FunkedUp". This is an exceptional piece on an exceptional theme. Listen to both pieces however to get the full effect. 9/10!
javina
Great! i like this mix a lot. AE has Skills. I bet every one of us remixers can learn a little somthin From AE. Good Work.
Squirminator2000
Two words, my friends: Awesome Awesome. I realise that technically that was one word but I thought it was such an accurate description, it was worth mentioning twice.
Vile
On the same day I first heard this song, I put it on a CD after listening to it about 500 times. It's still one of my favorite songs and I listen to it often. Quite the bomb-diggity, in my opinion. I give it a 5/5, 10/10 and all that. Schwing! Shonen Samurai
I'm totally in love with the beat to this song. It's done in a totally different way than you would expect a Bubbleman mix. Awesome. I love it.
MrNemo
AE is an elite OC Remixer. He puts effort into the work, unlike many of us. It takes time, probably like 40 hours, to make a remix like this. To pay so much attention to detail requires knowledge and ambition. So far, my favorite remixer. On par with any commercial electronic release of yesterday or today. The guy can mix. I have had the pleasure of listening to this song on a surround sound Genelec system, and this song is like ear heroin. The 2:20 interlude, what can I say. It's beautiful. This guy is going to inspire me to do some more quality work. If you want to make an OC Remix, this should be your template. Hell, if you want to make electronic music that MEANS something, this should be your template.
IC_Grave
This is a great mix, don't hear many like it, It sounds like it's coming from an Industrial/Techno whiz, or it could be that you just got lucky when you mixed it, not that I'm putting down your skill, I just know how it is when mixing things, you can do something accidentally and it turns out to be a killer riff.....heh sorry to ramble.....hang tough
muzikal-phoenix
I must confess... This remix of bubbleman is the best i've heard...[the key change really took me away] next to disco dan's version. I've heard the hardcore rock version thanks to project X, but this one really applies to my "techno" realm. Even though im new here and [sadly] new to the art of remixing, i know talent when i hear it. Hope to be as good as you one day...keep it up! Shwenky
AE is the best. I wish he would submit remixes again like this...
Bummer
I can´t really decide if I´m liking this mix or not. Sure, this a great techno piece with nice synths and a whole arsenal of beats. But then again, there´s too many beats. The beginning is good when the mix builds up itself and trying to get into the groove. But at some times I wonder if it´s too much. But that may also just be around 3:10 and the rest is harmless. Very aquatic remix from AE, I´ll give ya 4 bubbles of possible 5.
SakakiAzu
It gets too complicated in the middle. So many themes and beats going on..... *sigh* (what ^ said) and it gets a bit messy.... 8/
OceansAndrew
This is one of the two bubbleman mixes that were my very first OCR downloads. AE and DiscoDan are pretty much the reason I knew about the site at all. Needless to say, this is a completely killer track with a great flow, great beats, and some creative synth use. The source itself is also a favorite of mine. I'd love to hear what AE has been up to. I bet by now he's mixed the entire mega man series. animatedjay
i think the song is good. i don't think there are "too many beats" as other's have said. Beaing a drummer i can appreciate the fast drum fills in the middle of the song. But it's not like there are several layers of different rythms clashing into each other. I like the synths. i'd give it 4 out of 5 stars.
LuketheXjesse
The electronic genre has never been one of my favorites, but even so I enjoy this remix. The beat itself is a rap song but the actual sound is that of electronic music; a good combination, if I do say so myself. I like how at about 2:20 it strays off from the source material and goes into a bunch of random beats for awhile but keeps the original feel, too. The creepy, ambient part at 3:25 is a great change of pace, then it hops right back into the original melody, ending with a satisfying fade-out. Overall, a solid mix. Great work. Polo
The first OC ReMix I listened to back in '02 (when it was called "Bubbleman Soap and Water"), and it's still a blast. Panning, processing, filtering... everything sounds fun and well put together. The melodic extension of Bubble Man's theme feels natural and groovy. Even the aural lapses come in at just the right times to ease the listener's ears. Also, that weird, warbly synth starting at 0:04 and appearing throughout... it sounds like electronic bubbly water or something. Whatever it is, I like it. tweex
Ah, another classic remix that I remember from long ago. The feeling of this track is very different from the others that we've heard from AE up to this point. Even though the synth choices are very very similar, the down tempo beat gives this a great feel and proves a nice change of pace! You can hear AE stepping out of his shell a little bit with this! The low oscillating bass is great. He loves the high quick synths in there, and I can't fault him for that as they work really well. The brief key change was a very nice touch in helping to break the track up a bit!! Ah, 3:00 brings us more traditional AE flare with the crazy busy drums! But he brings it back down to cool and smooth. It's interesting to hear him use synths to create an atmosphere instead of just using them to create a melody. That's talent! Great stuff!
