Thalzon Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 His points are somewhat fair on a few of them. Bicycling, for one, and Jetski is pretty difficult to properly steer. Basketball also feels like a hit-or-miss thing, but then for me I've never been very accurate with my real-life throws either. That said, I LOVE the exploration with the airplane, and frisbee is indeed a blast.
big giant circles Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 I wonder if the kid who wrote that letter is a member on any boards anywhere. Because on one hand, it'd be cool to be like "Hey, that was my letter on ZP!" On the other, everyone would then be able to recognize you as the d-bag that just got pwned by Yahtzee. Quite a pickle, I'd say.
FR Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 I'm quitting this thread because (some of) you guys say that Yahtzee isn't funny good bye
Gollgagh Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 I hear the music is pretty terrible especially music what music (I"m not even kidding)
Ramaniscence Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 music what music(I"m not even kidding) Prolly stuff like this.
Alexis Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 100 videos!!! Exciting. In other Zero Punctuation News, I got an Imp Plushie for my birthday. It's awesome.
The Damned Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 In other Zero Punctuation News, I got an Imp Plushie for my birthday. It's awesome. They sell those? Or was it home-made?
Schwaltzvald Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 They sell those? Or was it home-made? RISE MY MINIONS, RISE!
HalcyonSpirit Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I just burst out laughing at 4:08 because it seemed so completely random. I wasn't expecting it at all and for some reason I found it hilarious. That is all.
cobaltstarfire Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Great now I want to buy another plushy to add to my collection...
JCvgluvr Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Congrats Yahtzee! 100 videos, and the quality of each video is all still, roughly, the same quality. Good quality, that is. Here's to 100 more!
Elex Synn Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Is there anyone looking into the game creation contest The Escapist is hosting?
Final Hero Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Just watched the Zero Punctuation reviews for the first time, and they... are... funny.
big giant circles Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 The Conduit Cripes, he reamed that one out hard. It's funny he specifically said "The music consists of nothing but a bunch of five second loops", considering the whole remix contest thing that AcidPlanet had for it. It was brought up here.
XZero Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Conduit wasn't a great game, but it isn't as bad as he made it out to seem. My biggest gripe is that his discussion of turning was completely wrong. You can change the settings to turn with the nunchuck if you want to. Now I grant that the game wasn't nearly as intuitive as, say, Metroid Prime 3, and I recognize that these are for comedy purposes more than information, but I think misinformation about a game is problematic, even for a comedy review. That said, I still love Zero Punctuation reviews, and enjoy my weekly Wednesday afternoon 5-minute break to watch them.

Agreed. The controls were really quite good IMO... The fact you can customize in any way you wish made it really easy to get going with the game, but heck, it does feel like a Halo clone lacking any original flare...
Vivi22 Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 My biggest gripe is that his discussion of turning was completely wrong. You can change the settings to turn with the nunchuck if you want to. Quick question from someone who's never played the game: If you change it to turn using the nunchuck then how would you strafe? I ask in all seriousness because I can't think of a way to remap that particular function on a Wii controller that wouldn't make it useless or at the very least highly annoying in combat. And since this isn't 1997, strafing is a pretty essential FPS movement.
